Chapter 4: Mission Start!... WAIT... WHAT!?

A/N: Trying something different as I have yet to find a style that works with me. Tell me what you think in the comments!

----------------------------------------------------------------

9 years has passed since Sophia gave birth to twins. Logan, being an only child in his past life, never felt what it's like to have siblings. So being a big brother was foreign to him, so he ended up being an awkward sibling to them. But this is a story for another time. Right now it's early in the morning and Logan could be seen training doing sit-ups. Once Logan finished, he checked his stats, mainly his missions.

Missions: [Training (Repeatable once a day) (F): Train your body to peak physical condition. Rewards: Minor improvements to physical body and aura, 100 Store points. Training Regiment: 2mile run (2mile/2mile), 100 Air-born push-ups (100/100), 100 Sit-ups (100/100), 10 minute Shadow Boxing (10 minutes/10 minutes). Completed.]

As Logan looked satisfied at the mission, his wings ruffled with delight. As Logan had a peaceful smile on his face, he felt searing pain come from his wings. As he squirmed on the ground from the pain from his wings, he heard laughter come from behind his back.

Logan: "AVA!! EVA!! Get back here you BRATS!!!" Logan shouted at the top of his lungs at two blurs that started racing through the woods. "I'll teach you to pluck my feathers!"

Logan had just turned 10, while his new sisters were about to. The older on was Ava. She is energetic and outgoing while looking a lot like her mother, but she had her father's, Azrael's, hair and eyes. The younger one, Eva, was soft spoken and reserved, that is if she spoke at all. While the older one was not an exact copy of their mother, Eva was. Eva could have been Sophia's sister with her uncanny resemblance to her. The only problem was that they had a mischievous streak a mile long.

Ava: "Try to catch us, Birdbrain!" Ava shouted back as she and Eva rushed passed and through brush while weaving around trees. One thing Logan couldn't understand was that they hated being separated, he wondered if it had to do with their semblance.

As he shook the thought from his head, he watched as they were making a beeline to the town. Logan, due to his wings, was always a very slow runner. Not wanting them to get away, Logan started enhancing his body with aura. Thanks to the ability he received, he could act like a ninja from 'Naruto', somewhat.

[Chakra (Aura) Control (D) : The ability to manipulate your chakra to reinforce your body and preform feats that are normally impossible, such as faster running, walking on water, walking up cliffs, and preforming jutsus. (Note: Must have the Jutsu ability to preform Jutsus) Increases with training.]

Ever since Logan had completed the second mission he received, Logan had been training nonstop since he was 5. Logan at 10 years old had the body of an very fit 12 year old. At a height of 5' 1", Logan's body was well built, every muscle was like a ripcord wound tight. His wings grew to an impressive width of 12', and a beautiful scarlet color that faded into a shimmering gold made most Avian Faunus jealous. Of the many things Logan learned about them, he was impressed at how many types of Avian Faunus there were, but that is a story for another time.

As Logan chased the twins through the woods, they soon came to a clearing near the town. Logan started infusing his legs with aura. Soon Logan was right behind Ava and Eva, as he reached out to grab them, they sped up. Logan, not wanting them to get away started flapping his wings like a chicken running. Speeding towards them, Logan tackled them into the dirt, his wings covered the top of all three of them like a large blanket. Logan got up and quickly grabbed Ava and Eva, carrying them under his arms. As the tree of them came close to the town's gates, Mike, the town guard waved to Logan as he approached.

Mike: "Hey, Logan! Your sisters play a prank on you again? What was it this time?"

Ava: "We didn't do anything! We're innocent!" Ava cried out with Eva just nodding her head in agreement. Logan's face was passive, showing no emotion, yet his wings bristled in annoyance at their words.

Logan: "Can you just please open the gate. My wings hurt from training this morning." Logan sighed and spoke, he was tired and didn't fell like dealing with Mike's crappy humor. Over the years, Logan became used to his humor, but at this point, he didn't want to deal with it.

Once the gates opened, Logan staggered through the town as he half dragged, half carried his sisters to their home. As Logan made his way through town, many inhabitants called out the him and his sisters. From the multitude of Faunus types were nearly innumerable, there were some Ox, Deer, Foxes, Boars, and many more. As Logan grew up around this town, he found out that the types of Avian Faunus were numerous, there were some that looked like they were bipedal birds with human features, some looked like humans only with pointed faces and talons on their hands. And there were Logan's type, ones that looked the most like humans but with wings on there backs. Though there are many Faunus here, there were some Humans as well, for example, there was Mike. Even though he is only an example, Mike owes a life dept to the Village Elder. However, only they know and they aren't telling.

As the trio trudged through the town, they soon arrived at their home. It was once a simple two story house with an addition off to the side on the first floor so that their father, Azrael, could handle the dismantling of the game he had brought back. The first floor, at that time, mainly consisted of a large kitchen, dining room, and entertainment space while the second floor was reserved for the master bedroom, guestroom, and storage space for the occupants. Now that Logan, Ava, and Eva have been living with them, things have changed. For Ava and Eva, the guestroom was remodeled for them to live in. In their room was a large bed that they sleep together, two desks for them to work at, and a couple of dressers for their clothes. As for Logan, due to his large wing span, his room was actually a new section that was added on as he grew. His room was on the first floor with a door that led off the living-room. Inside was wider and more spacious then the other rooms. In there was a desk with a stool rather then a chair, upon the desk had numerous blue-prints of weapons and gadgets. Off to the side is a large circular bed that has thin blankets and several pillows, this took up the majority of the room. To finish it off, a couple of dressers and two wardrobes were off to one corner.

Once the trio got near the front of their home, Logan folded his wings so that they looked like a large backpack upon his back. Logan then let Ava open the door to the their home, as both of his hands were occupied by the twins in his arms. As they entered, they saw their mother, Sophia, crocheting a blanket on an oval stand as she sat on a stool in front of it. When she hear the door open, she looked towards the door, her hands skillfully continuing on with out her looking.

Sophia: "Oh, Logan dear. What have your sisters done this time? Do we need to repair something again?" She asked as she returned to her crocheting. Obviously used to their pranks to some degree. A smile donned her face, a tired and weary smile.

Ava: "We're Innocent!" Her face flush, her cheeks turning red.

Eva: "Innocent." She spoke, an emotionless expression donned her face. They obviously didn't want to get into trouble.

Logan: "When I was training, I took a quick respite when they some plucked feathers, after-which, they tried to run. When your done with them, would you be kind enough to see if I'm not bleeding anywhere." Logan said in a emotionless voice, however, his folded wings were shaking slightly. As if they were close to bursting out in stress. He set down his sisters in front of her, not wanting to carry them anymore "I'll be outside stretching my wings. I'm still not used to folding them like this, they're starting to cramp."

Sophia: "Thank you, Logan. I'll help you after I punish them. Oh! I almost forgot! Those parts you ordered, they're here. Your father placed them on your desk for you. When your done with it, please bring it out here, I wish to see it. I still don't even know what it is yet, you've only given me hints so far." Sophia remembered, somewhat pouting. She know that Logan had come up with a blue-print that needed some custom made parts, but she didn't know what it was. Only Azrael and Logan knew.

Logan: "Thank you." Before he left, he walked over and gave Sophia a kiss on the cheek. Even though he remembered his old life on Earth, he cherished his life here. "I promise that as soon as it's done, I'll bring it out so that you can see." As he said all this he walked out the door, leaving his sisters in his mother's capable hands.

Some time passed since Logan left the house. As Logan had said, he stretched his wings as they were cramped from being folded like that. When Sophia found him, they talked a bit while she looked over his wings. Thankfully the twins didn't pull any of the large feathers and only went for the smaller and more numerous ones. It was easy to see as Logan's feathers are mainly a deep scarlet color till his wing tips, his feather's are scarlet on top while a shinning, shimmering gold underneath. As Sophia finished checking him over for any bleeding, she let him go. After Logan asked if there was anything she needed while he was there, before he went to his room to finish his project. She declined and Logan left to go to his room. Once he entered, he breathed a sigh of relief and rushed to his desk to open a cardboard box that was on top of it.

Logan: 'Finally! With these parts I'm not so defenseless anymore. Once I completed that mission to unlock my aura, that ability helped my training immensely. The blue-prints were a little one sided, I mean, I kinda understand about making the Fallout 4 T-45 Power Armor. But the other one was more to my liking, after-all, who would pass up the chance to obtain Dante's Ebony and Ivory pistols from DMC 5? Plus these ones came with a conversion magazine to change them from bullets to aura. With the holsters I designed to fit around my wings are worth it now. I'm glad I took a hint from my shirts.' What Logan had meant by his shirts, was that they looked like someone took a fitted shirt and turned it into an apron. All he had to do was place his arms and head through the openings and tie the back in a neat little bow. The hostlers he made were similar to a harness that went around his wings. Shaking with delight as he opened the box, Logan slowly remove two custom frames he had ordered.

Logan started humming his old favorite tune from Earth, 'Through the fire and the Flames' a song his wife showed him, as he got to work on Ebony and Ivory. After nearly an hour of work, Logan stood back with a satisfied looked on his face while his wings fluttered in joy. Both Ebony and Ivory were completed with near identical looks. Ebony has target sights, a solid hammer, pivot trigger, a left hand ejection port, and was in a dark ebony black finish. While Ivory has combat sights, a ring hammer, straight-pull trigger, a right hand ejection port, and a bright, near pure white ivory finish. Both of their slides were thicker and reinforced so they could handle more punishment. Both feature ported muzzle compensators that reduce recoil and counteract muzzle flip. The barrels are extended through the compensators and are ported to match the cuts in the compensators. The rails have been bolted to the forward portion of both frames so to give the barrels more stability. They also have doubled stacked magazines with slam pads, custom grips, and 'Ebony & Ivory' engraved in sprawling cursive script on the opposite sides of their ejection ports. The only difference form the originals were that instead of the portraits were two gold coins embedded into the handles.

Wanting to show his family as fast as possible, he started to change out of his workout clothes when he took a whiff of himself. Realizing that he reeked, he rushed and quickly took a shower. Storing them in his void storage, he grabbed a change of clothes and headed of to shower. Once he got back, he dried his body off, he shook his wings dry in the shower, and got dressed. Wearing a special deep scarlet shirt that matched his wings, blue jeans, and his favorite boots. Once he was done, it takes him some time to get ready in the mornings, he grabbed his holsters that fit both above and under his wings and wore it, and a belt that had several magazine pouches that lined it. In the box were 12 magazines, two were the aura conversion mags, while the rest were standard 45 ACP magazines that held 20 rounds per mag. Rapidly opening the shop, Logan bought 200 round of 230 grain full-metal jacketed rounds for them. Over the years Logan was exercising, he had amassed around 50,000 Store Points, after his quick shopping spree, he had 20,000 left over. A little sad, his stats now looked like this.

As he went to leave his room, he got a notification as a alarm went off in his head. As he tried to ignore the very loud and annoying alarm, he read what the notification was.
