~Third POV~
The opening ends with an overview of the streets of Vale being decorated in time for the Vytal Festival. Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloons are proudly on display.
Team RWBY is strolling through it all with an awed Weiss Schnee in the front.
A sign is being put up by the elderly Shopkeep that reads in bright red letters 'WELCOME TO VALE!' for all the foreign newcomers from their respective kingdoms of Remnant.
Weiss stopped and raised her arms in amazement as she spoke, "The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!"
Yang frowns a little but smirks trying to tease Weiss as she replied to her, "I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Ice Queen. I didn't know you liked festivals, Weiss. That's a surprise."
Weiss turns to Yang as they continue walking, she huffs her face hearing her friend's response defending herself, "How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!"
Yang sighs, as she crosses her arms crossed while replying to her, "You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."
Weiss replied back quite harshly to her, "Quiet, you!"
Yang as they stop near the docks and the sounds of foghorns are heard while asking her friends about their reason, "Remind me again why we're spending our day off visiting the stupid docks?"
Ruby then began covering her nose a bit as she finally responds to the smell, "Ugh, they smell like fish."
Weiss rolls her eyes as she replied to her team leader that she honestly has some problems with except being too childish, "You respond and that is the words that come out Ruby? I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!"
Blake as Weiss starts walking away again slightly smirks at this as she replied, "She wants to spy on them, so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament."
Weiss scoffs at this defending herself, "You can't prove that!"
Ruby turns his head to the right as the team looks at a shattered window down the street and a door full of yellow caution tape of the Vale Police Force before walking over to the detective in front, who is writing on his pad.
They managed to overhear what the two detectives as one of them walks over to his partner, "Robbery. The second Dust shop is to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle."
The other detective replied, to his partner while asking a good question, "They left all the money again. Yeah, it just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?"
The two began to bicker till they reasoned it enough to place the blame at the hands of the White Fang making Weiss cross her arms and point her nose in the air with her eyes closed, "Hmph! The White Fang. What a bunch of violent, crazed degenerates!"
Blake feeling offended at this replied rather harshly defending them, "They're a collection of misguided Faunus."
Weiss rebutted Blakes's words with no care for the Faunus or the White Fang in her voice, "They say they're going to wipe humanity off the face of the planet."
Blake quickly began to defend against her fellow Brothers and Sisters of the White Fang, "That's only a small minority! And we don't even know if the Faunus did this, to begin with."
Ruby quickly agrees with Blake's words as she voices out not only humans could do this, "Blake's got a point. The Dust robbery I saw was done by humans."
"Correct Ruby."
"Huh?"
Hearing the voice interrupting their conversation Jack soon appeared holding what seems to be ice cream as he met with Team RWBY with a smile licking his frozen dessert, "Yo! Glad to see someone I recognize here. Came here to see the Vytal Festival welcoming as well?"
Ruby smiled a bit as she talked to Jack as the others listened in while Blake and Weiss stare at each other, "Jack! Glad to see you are doing well after the Nightmare event. Where is the rest of Team JNPR?"
Laughing nervously at that as he scratches his head a bit embarrassed at the mention, "Hehe… funny story about that actually. When we entered an all-you-can-eat buffet with pancakes along the line with Pyrrha paying Nora… well…"
*Pat*
Placing a pat on Ruby's shoulder Jack's expression changed to a cold and dead look as he replied the last piece of advice to Team RWBY making them a bit disturbed, "Just make sure and I repeat this with all the seriousness of all things good… Never. And I mean NEVER give Nora coffee. I and Pyrrha learned the hard way why… Never I want a sugar rush, Nora."
Ruby was confused at this as she replied innocently to the question not really answering her previous one, "Ok… but that doesn't explain why your team isn't here?"
Blinking at this Jack replied with a shrug as he responded to Ruby honestly, "Oh that. Well, Pyrrha and Ren both went ahead to search for a Sugar Rush Nora as they told me to enjoy myself."
*BOOM*
At a loud distance, the members and Jack saw a puff of smoke explosion in the distance as we heard a distinct sound coming from the area.
"I'm Queen of the Castle!"
"I'm Queen of the Castle!"

As the sounds soon disappeared as Ruby patted Jack's shoulder as she sighed in defeat giving him pity at this, "Sigh… you have my condolences with the aftermath."
"Thank you."
"Stop that Faunus!"
Pausing at the sudden news being overheard to see the scene before them.
As the team overhears the cry for help and rushes over to investigate, a Faunus with a golden monkey tail named Sun Wukong is seen running down the length of the boat and leaping onto the edge as the two sailors are about to apprehend him.
"You no-good stowaway!"
"You trash!"
Sun uses his tail to hang on a lamppost while he jumps on the head of a sailor that spoke rudely to him as he hangs upside down using his tail, "Hey! A no-good stowaway would've been caught! I'm a great stowaway! And if I were trash, you'd already have collected me already. My skills at stowing away are second to none."
Yang hearing this couldn't help but respond as Jack glances at the scene with a weird expression, "That's a weird comeback."
But when Jack made a weird expression on his face he began to think as he used his skill on Sun to get something from him, 'Huh? That's odd. Don't remember Sun doing that but since his here… <Fusion>.'
By using Jack's semblance he saw an invisible screen only available to him as he sees the requirements to get the skill from Sun.
[Ding!]

[-Fusion Conditions-
Description: Sun Wukong is a student from the Kingdom of Vacuo, who later moved to Mistral and attended Haven Academy before transferring to Shade. He is a Faunus and the leader of Team SSSN. The condition is to capture Sun once unaware catching him by surprise at least once.]
The monkey-like Faunus twirls up to crouch on the lamppost, laughs in amusement, and proceeds to leap off and run away from the detectives.
As he runs past Team RWBY, he winks at an astonished Blake in slow motion before time speeds up again and he continues to be chased by the officers.
"Hold it right there!"
Weiss returning to her senses again began to proclaim to capture the Faunus as she spoke out to her team, "Fine. I'll capture that Faunus and show you just how bad he is."
"Wait, Weiss!"
Seeing them leave Jack thinks to himself a bit standing there before following them, 'What the hell? This is certainly something I didn't remember from the original. Well, whatever the case I get to meet Penny that's a must!'
Weiss, Yang, Jack, and Ruby give chase.
Blake stands still, lost in thought, then comes back to reality and follows her friends.
*Thud*
The team rounds the next corner, but then Weiss bumps into someone and trips. She looks up only to see Sun jump onto a building and disappear from her view.
Seeing this Ruby asked Weiss and the unknown stranger with some concern in her voice, "Are you okay?"
"I am fine but…"
Turning their attention towards the down girl they noticed Yang asking in concern, "Are you? Can you get up?"
The girl turns her head toward the group as she cheerfully replied to the group, "Yes! I am wonderful. Thank you for asking! And-a upsy-daisy!"
The girl managed to flip herself out from the ground as she landed in front of them and began to introduce herself to them, "My name is Penny. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Hearing this Jack was quick before he announces himself to Penny with a genuine smile on his face, "Very nice to meet you, friend."
Ruby also follows up with Jack as she also called to Penny as well, "Nice to meet you too Penny."
Weiss grumbles a bit as she insists her teammates listen to her words as she speaks, "If we don't hurry, the vagabond will get away."
However, Penny immediately persisted as she called out glancing in Jack's direction which so happened to be blocked by Weiss, "What did you call me?"
Blake immediately interfered as she replied to Penny in a hurry, "She wasn't talking about you."
"No. You."
That was when Penny began to point at Jack coming towards him with Jack feigning ignorance but internally happy seeing Penny as it was his favorite character.
