Chapter 6: [My First Customer and Employee]

Blacksmithing wasn't easy when you don't have machinery to make it easier, the heat from the molten metals made one delirious and sweaty, and the sheer use of a single arm would make one's arm painful, but Ookurikara's fatigue and pain dispersed to every part of his body.

Why did was it 'shared'? Because gamer's body tempered the whole body equally, and that was why training in one thing made everything stronger as well.

The thing that made his efforts worth it in his opinion, was the satisfaction it brought him to be able to complete something for once, and the stats he gained from the labour.

He wasn't too sure of his standing against hunters and huntresses, but he knew no ordinary person could ever kill him. That was what he was really glad for, he had seen conflicts happen in stores, and...It sometimes never come out good for the cashier or people inside the store.

Gathering up the pieces of finished equipment, he climbed up the stairs and placed them on the empty stairs. Then he headed back down into the basement to start creating more things to sell in the shop, he knew he needed weapons, jewlery, trinkets, and some other things that would certainly attract the attention of customers, and increase the shop's influence and fame.

'Now that I think about it... don't most huntresses use combat skirts, and wasn't it mentioned to be in fashion? ' Ookurikara had already planned to make his shop one for everyone with money, because he had been born in a world with little to no discrimination over race and gender.

'I.D Create. ' Ookurikara currently didn't have the right materials, and so he entered his instant dimension to gather the needed materials.

He had been spawned at a land of grass when he first used instant dimension, but he was now in a swamp with tall dark trees, and an atmosphere that was gloomy and wet.

[Spider Silk: Silk created by humpback spiders, said to be stronger than reinforced steel]

Worry expressed themselves under his mask, 'If there's this much spider silk, then I won't want to meet the spiders that made them. ' Gathering bundles of the silk off the trees, he hurriedly gathered as much as he could to avoid encountering the spiders.

"Thank you merchant's luck! " Ookurikara used instant dimension escape, and hurried off to the crafting bench, and picked one of the tutorials on how to craft skirts. Grabbing the bundles of silk, he grabbed a pair of needles and began handcrafting them.

'You know, would I be considered a pervert for making them? ' He dismissed the strange thought, and continued.

He wasn't skilled at handling the needle, and poked himself with it, but he did it carefully and got the hang of it soon enough.

'This is pretty ea- "Ow! I stand corrected.. " He quieted down and focused slowly on creating the multiple versions of combat skirts, and then the rest of the clothing that fit the style. He didn't make all of them white of course, and used the alchemy table to change their colours safely.

He didn't have any jewlery or trinkets he could sell so.. he used the grimm bones and black dust crystal to create some. He crafted earrings, rings, and bracelets out of the bones and then added the black dust crystals on, needing only half of a single crystal to accomplish it.

Having no other feasible material to craft anymore, he used instant dimension create and spawned in a forest of pale white trees. Curious at what they were he used Observe, and found out that the wood actually increased aura control and dust effects.

Ookurikara liked the wood, and he used it to craft a necklace and then inserted pieces of 'Wind/Air' dust after leaving the dimension.

'Luck really is useful, to find what I wanted twice... ' Ookurikara had more thoughts on luck now....

"Observe. " He wanted to know what they did now.

[The Wind's Necklace: Increased aura regeneration and strength by 10%, dust effects by 15%, and an additional 10% for all wind dust]

'Dust users would definitely fight over this equipment. ' He could already imagine the desire in their eyes...

[Nature's Earrings of Wraith: Increased senses by 5%, Decreases damage from aura by 5%, and Dust by 1%]

[Nature's Ring of Wraith: Increased speed by 12%, Decreases damage from aura by 10%, and Dust by 2%]

[Nature's Bracelet of Wraith: Increased strength by 12%, Decreases damage from aura by 15%, and Dust by 2%]

'I guess I'm just talented.. ' He smiled at his self compliment before grabbing the jewlery, and up the stairs to store and placing them in the glass casing.

He bought empty bottles of wine, and filled them up with wine from the distiller he bought hours ago. Finished with the wine, he began crafting weapons un-mechanised to sell, and

was confident in the quality because he used mana channeling and control during the process to make them better. ' Even if mine aren't mechanised, my weapons will be better! ' He didn't create any mechanised weapons due to the lack of time he had, but he didn't doubt the weapon's ability to be sold.

Due to the rush from the day ending, he didn't get to inspect his weapons before placing them on the displays. After placing his weapons on the displays, he placed the wine bottles on one of the corners, and the loot he collected in the instant dimension as 'trinkets'.

Dusting himself of any dust, he looked around with confirmation. "Okay, I'm ready. " Breathing in some air to calm his nerves down, he opened up the blinds on the store, switched the sign on the door to open, and thrn went back to the counter.

Looking at the possible customers outside his shop, he saw them cast curious glances before leaving off somewhere else. Ookurikara felt slightly disappointed, and touched the mask he had put on.

'Is it because of the mask? ' He had knew it would produce problems, but he didn't take it off because he didn't want anyone to see his face yet, and it was one of the vital things he needed for his roleplay.

It might seem childish or illogical, but he didn't really care about not getting customers too much. He had the system to buy anything he wanted, and the instant dimensions to provide basically infinite MStones. He didn't need any customers to live his life, he had the system for that, and he could gain fame and influence some other ways.

He grew bored waiting for customers after some hours, and played on his phone he still had. Suddenly, the store's door opened and his first customers entered.

Blonde hair, blue eyes, and feeble looking body with barely any mucles to speak of.

'Jaune Arc? ' Ookurikara didn't expect one of the 'main characters' in the story to show up to his shop, and definitely not Jaune. He had been expecting Ruby Rose, instead of Jaune Arc.

"Ah, hello? " Ookurikara could already tell Jaune was nervous and he knew it might have been the mask, but he curious on why Jaune would even come to his shop in the first place.

Jaune closed his eyes to muster some courage, and Ookurikara found it amusing..

"I was wondering if you have any pieces of armour I can buy? " Jaune managed to say without stuttering, and Ookurikara just now realised that Jaune had no armour with him.

Thinking it over in his mind, Ookurikara replied cooly. "I do have armour I can sell, but.. that will depend on how much you have ". Ookurikara wasn't being mean, but instead fair, he wasn't gonna decrease his prices just because some important character to the plot asked.

Jaune checked his wallet, and looked up, " Do you think 200 lien is enough? That's all I have..." Jaune whispered the last part.

Ookurikara knew that it wasn't enough to buy his armours, but a brilliant idea came to him. He always saw Jaune as someone with great potential, but he grew frustrated at how he turned out..so, why not change him himself?

"The amount of lien you have isn't enough to even buy anything useful " He bluntly told Jaune, making him slump in disappointment.

"But.. " Jaune looked back at him with confusion and specks of hope, "You could become an employee of my shop, and I will pay you for for work. I'll also create you some armour as a bonus, so what do you say? " Ookurikara looked at Jaune for his answer and a glint in his eyes.

Jaune thought a bit in his head and asked,

"How long will I have to work for? "

Ookurikara immediately replied, "Few days before Beacon starts, your wanting to be a hunter right? " He already knew the answer, but it couldn't help to play the part.

Jaune was confused at how he knew, "Ho- ".

Ookurikara interrupted him, "Heard people be preparing to go, and none would buy this unless they be needing it ".

Jaune accepted the excuse, " I guess.." He muttered, but Ookurikara heard it well. "To what I said, or to my offer? ".

"To both.." Jaune replied nervously, and Ookurikara took it in. " Well, then..your first job is....
