Chapter 24: It's Okay

Weiss was now back in the Lecture Hall and she went to the front, wearing her normal/combat attire.

The area there was quite spacious, which allowed for proper combat trainings against Grimms, as well as sparring sessions.

She then draws her weapon, Myrtenaster, which looked like a multi coloured pen in silver rapier form. The Grimm in the cage growls as Weiss did her stance and pointed her weapon at it, while her teammates cheered her up from the side.

"Go Weiss!" Yang shot a fist in the air.

"Fight well!" Blake waved a small flag that says 'RWBY'.

"Yeah, represent teeaam RWBY!" Ruby simply cheered.

Weiss, however, became even more annoyed with the cheering, especially Ruby's, "Ruby! I'm trying to focus!"

"Oh…uh, sorry." Ruby sheepishly apologized.

"Alright!" Professor Port said as he stood near the cage with his 'Blunderaxe' in hand.

"Let the match…begin!"

With that, the bombastic Professor swinged down his Axe and breaks the lock, dropping the cage door and releasing the beast inside it.

The Grimm, reviled to be an armored, boar-like beast with large tusks, the Boarbatusk, came out of the cage and stared at the human in front of it with fury.

"Well, judging from Weiss' weapon, she might have a hard time in killing this Grimm if she doesn't do it right." Jin commented while laying his back against the chair, hands folded.

"Huh? Why?" Jaune questioned.

"It's because of its armor," Pyrrha said before explaning even further.

"A Boarbatusk's armor is very hard and durable, and while Weiss is a skilled fighter, her current weapon isn't suitable for taking out heavily armored foes. Boarbatusks also hit hard too, so she has to be careful on not to let herself get hit in its charge attacks."

"Hiting it from its unarmored areas can work though. But if left with no choice, then concussive blows to its armor, can still make it flinch and gives you a chance to attack properly." Jin spoke out.

While they were talking to Jaune, the Boarbatusk was already charging towards Weiss, aiming to overwhelm the human with its dangerous charge attack.

Trying to score a line from its left flank, Weiss slashed at the beast before rolling over to the side, readying herself for its next move.

The Grimm may have missed, but Weiss' attack also didn't do anything and just merely scratched its armored head. The white haired girl was preparing for its next move, but the Grimm just stood still in a distance away. It seemed to be studying the girl for a moment before making its move.

"Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?" Port commented, but Weiss was still ready nonetheless.

"Hang in there, Weiss!" Ruby cheered again.

She was watching in suspense, as everyone else was, while the fight between the heiress and the beast resumed.

Weiss was speeding towards the incoming Boarbatusk, thrusting her blade straight at its skull until they meet.

But sadly, when they clashed, the Grimm was smart enough to know in how to disarm the human by moving its head to the side in the last second and moving it back again, trapping her weapon with its tusks.

"Urgghh!"

Myrtenaster was now caught and trapped in its tusks. Weiss was still hanging on to the hilt, trying to get her weapon off her opponent's clutches. But instead, she tossed around as she struggled to get her rapier back.

"Bold new approach, I like it!" Port exclaimed.

"Come on, Weiss! Show it who's boss!" Ruby cheered yet again.

'Shut up, Ruby!' Weiss thought as she glared at her leader.

Her moment of distraction however, caused her to loosen her grip on her rapier. The Boarbatusk took this chance to shake its head violently until the rapier was ripped away from her hands.

Myrtenaster was launched off, landing far away from its wielder on the other side of the front. Weiss watched the whole scene with widened eyes, before she was then knocked back by the creature's tusk.

"Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" Professor Port continued on with his commentary.

Weiss got up, and then looked up just in time to see the Boarbatusk charging at her once again. The girl immediately jumped and rolled out of the way, making the beast miss again and crash into a desk.

While the Grimm was down and staggered, Weiss used the opportunity to make a run towards her weapon and sliding in to retrieve it in a hurry.

Ruby then called out to her partner, "Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-.."

"Stop Telling Me What To Do!" Weiss yelled in interruption, her annoyance towards her leader reaching its peak.

Jin just sighed before leaning over his desk and said to his sister, "Hey, don't worry about it. She's just caught up in the heat of the moment."

"Ya, that's what it is..." Ruby said depressingly.

Ignoring the scythe user's hurt look, Weiss see's the Grimm leap and roll into a ball, before it then started to spin rapidly and launches itself towards the human.

It was like Sonic's spin attack or Rammus's Q.

'A Spin & Dash attack?!' Weiss thought in surprise before shaking her head and using her Semblance, Glyphs, to create.....well, Glyphs.

A Shield-type in front, and a Platform/Propulsion-type behind her in the air, 'I shouldn't let myself be distracted by that child! I have to focus!'

The beast was gaining speed in every second as it inched towards Weiss, only to be made to crash head-first into her Shield-type Glyph, making it fall to its back as it squealed in pain.

Seeing its underside exposed, Weiss didn't waste anytime as she jumped into her Platform/Propulsion-type Glyph and leapt into the Grimm with an increased momentum. She drove Myrtenaster, piercing through the beast's stomach as it squealed loudly before dying.

"Ha-ha!" Peter Port guffawed, as Weiss properly stood up at attention from her panting and exhausted state.

"I see that we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress! Bravo, my dear, bravo!" Peter applauded, before turning to the rest of the class.

"I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and...stay vigilant! Class dismissed!"

After those words, Weiss had an angry look, before turning to Ruby and gave her a fierce glare. This just made the silver-eyed girl flinch, and before her team could say anything, she hurriedly stormed off the classroom without a word.

"Sheesh, what's with her?" Jaune questioned as he watched her leaving figure.

The remaining members of team RWBY, as well as team JNPR, looked at each other with the same question. They then turned to the all-knowing and genius Elite Student himself.

"Her anger reached its peak." Jin answered as he crossed his arms, eyes closed in contemplation.

"Weiss seems to have a temper, I think she's already made some great strides in controlling it, but after everything that's happened this morning, it's not surprising that she's so frustrated. And now, all that anger is focused on Ruby." Jin sighed.

Everyone listening had their eyes widened at the information and looked at Ruby, who already got out of her seat and went chase after Weiss.

"Isn't that kinda harsh?" Blake said.

"Like I said, she seems to take the path of the Huntress very seriously, and hates those who think it's a game or something," Jin explained once again as he similarly got up from his seat.

"Where are you going, Jin?" Yang asked.

"Well, my big sister, aren't you gonna come with me to cheer our girl up?"

Yang got up from her seat with a sigh, "Alright, I'm coming, I'm coming."

.....

It was the end of days and Ruby was getting worried. Weiss has been ignoring her the whole day and she was angry to boot.

Ruby was always trying to approach her, to talk to her to see what was wrong, but had no luck so far.

It was then that she saw Weiss walk down a Hallway, still in her normal clothes, and turned to a corner. Ruby then immediately ran up to catch up to her.

"Weiss!"

The heiress sighed and turned to the persistent reaper, "What?"

Ruby relaxed a little as she noticed that Weiss was not as angry as earlier, "Are you ok? Is there something wrong or-.."

"Oh there's something wrong alright," Weiss interrupted as her anger returned once more, and gave Ruby a harsh glare.

"And I'm looking at it right now."

"What?" Ruby asked in shock.

"What do you mean?"

"What do you mean? What do I mean?!" Weiss screamed.

"You're supposed to be a leader, but all you've been so far is a nuisance!"

Ruby frowned at her teammate, "What did I do?"

"That's just it; you have done nothing to earn your position!" Weiss answered heatedly, finally releasing her thoughts.

"I was willing to look past in what happened in the forest, but not what happened today! You've been acting like a child all day and not once did you do anything that showed me that you can be a good leader!

Ruby began to feel upset again, "Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team."

Weiss continued to glare at her, "Not a team lead by you. I've studied and trained, and quite frankly, I deserve better."

Hearing this, Ruby just hung her head down in dejection. This just made Weiss sigh and she simply frowned at the girl, her glare now disappearing.

"Look, you're a good fighter, I'm not going to deny that, but you do not have what it takes to be a leader."

Weiss then turned to leave, but not before saying one last thing, "I'm sorry Ruby, but I believe that Ozpin made a mistake, appointing you as our leader…"

With that, Weiss walked off. Ruby stared at her leaving figure with sadness in her eyes. She hung her head down and turned to leave, but that's when she bumped into a couple of familiar people.

"Hmm…now that didn't seem to go very well."

"You can say that again, Professor."

Ruby looked up to see Ozpin and her elder sister in front of her. Tearing up a little, she looked at the headmaster and asked, "Is she right? Did you make a mistake?"

Ozpin laughed lightly at the question, "Well that remains to be seen."

Ruby became confused, "What do you mean?"

"He means that it's only been one day, Sis." Yang explained.

"It's too soon to tell if he made a mistake or not."

Ozpin nodded and spoke again, "Ruby...I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet. But at this moment, I would not consider your appointment to leader to be one of them. Do you?"

"I know I don't, Professor Ozpin," Yang grinned.

The headmaster smiled at the blonde before turning back to Ruby, "Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, but a badge you wear constantly. If you're not always performing at your absolute best, then what reason do you give others to follow you?"

He smiled before he turned around to leave, "You've been burdened with a daunting responsibility, Ruby. I advise you take some time, to think about how you will uphold it."

Ruby nodded and watched Ozpin leave her alone with her sister. Yang then walked up to her and gave her a hug, which the younger girl accepted gratefully.

Yang let go and smiled at her sister, "Come on, Ruby. Let's head back. Besides, I need to talk to you about what you were doing."

The blonde then glared and pointed her finger at her, "The balancing act and the sleeping thing I could understand, but what were you thinking picking your nose like that? Dad would've grounded you for a month if he saw you doing that in public again!"

Ruby simply smiled sheepishly as Yang scolded her, "He-he, sorry..."

Quick words from Author.

When I went on to post this chapter, I noticed that the ratings of this book went from 4.7 to 3.4. I went to check on the possible spamming trolls, and there you have it, two trolls spamming 1 Stars, no honest review on why my novels seems bad for them or anything, just pure trolling.

I checked their accounts, and I saw that those twi guys have been also spamming trolls reviews to other books, like ALOT of books, that guy literally lives to troll people.

SatanTheBest and Leone_Satanica_One, these are the names of the trolls, or you can just check the reviews and look at their profiles.

I need everyone's help, DO NOT do anti-troll reviews cause it makes my review section dirty. Well, you can do some, BUT ONLY ONCE! Don't spam cause I don't like it, its dirty for my eyes.

I don't like good but fake reviews, and I certainly don't like troll reviews even more.

Also, report the trolls please. Report their reviews and report their account. Many people should report in order for this troll to be stopped, banned by Webnovel and have all his trolls reviews be deleted on all the books he's touched so far.

I would be glad if you guys can help...
