Everyone was shocked to see the newborn child glowing with a silver hue. A warm feeling filled the room. All the exhaustion and worries that everyone pent up in their heart and mind seemed to melt away. A moment of peace and serenity filled their body.
"What was that energy wave?" Jaxon Silver, the head of the Silver family, stuttered with a baffled expression, seeing the incredible phenomenon, "Did he just glow?" He rubbed his eyes.
"It looks like the Silver family is going to have another genius. His energy readings are off the charts. What we felt was just a brief outburst of his energy... Congratulations, Mam Trisa." The doctor congratulated her while checking her medical records.
"Hahaha... Good... Very good..."
"But where is that Jin bastard..."
"Let that bastard come... I am gonna break his legs..."
Jaxon grumbled, but his anger disappeared as soon as he looked at his grandson's face.
"Don't blame him, father... His great sense of justice is why I love him so much. But I why am I feeling this uneasiness in my heart?"
"Cough... Cough..."
Trisa said while looking at her son's sleeping face. Her heart was aching for some reason. Suddenly, she began to cough out blood.
"Trisa!!!!"
"Doctor!!!!"
"Is the poison reacting again?"
Jaxon screamed in shock.
Trisa was a former Hunter who went to explore the unknown lands. But caught some kind of illness. Later the doctors discovered that some new mutated poison lifeform got mixed in her blood and could not be removed since the poison in her blood was acting like an intelligent parasite. If removed forcefully, it will kill its host before dying. It was killing Trisa slowly from inside. She held on till now with her shear will, fighting all the pain to see her child's face.
"Cough... Akkkkk..."
Trisa coughed out a puddle of black blood on the floor. The nearby nurse took the child from her arms to prevent the contamination.
[Sccrrrreeecccchhh] A red tentacle was glowing in the puddle of dark blood, wiggling on the floor.
"The parasite... It got out... Hurry!!!! Kill that abomination before it targets someone else," The doctor yelled, seeing the parasite lifeform.
[Wooosh] [Sizzzle] Jaxon pointed his fist toward the parasite, "Azure Flame... Bastard, finally got you..." Blue flames burst out of his palm, burning the parasite to ashes.
"It's a miracle... I don't know how, but her condition is improving rapidly. It's as if someone is using the Hyper Regeneration Skill on her body." The doctor almost slammed his head on the machine in a hurry while reading Trisa's vital reports.
[Location: South Pole]
Jin was fighting a mutated ice monster. It was supposed to be a 4th-tier monster, but after mutation, it became an 8th-tier Ice Litch. And Jin's level was 7th tier Aura Master, which should have been enough to kill that monster. But the problem was the extreme cold temperature. The Ice Litch had the territorial advantage in the battle and was freezing Jin's aura every time he tried to throw an attack to break the tornado.
"Damn it!!!"
"This Litch bastard..."
"If only someone breaks this freaking storm..."
Jin gritted his teeth and slashed his frozen aura sword at the Litch's staff.
[Ice Litch 8th tier High Ranking Monster. Its appearance is like that of a human skeleton covered in a blue cloak and a staff as a weapon in its left hand. It has the ability to control all types of ice spells and can be a nuisance to deal with due to its AOE spells. It is known for its traps of isolating its targets and killing them one by one. However, once its staff is broken, the Ice Litch becomes as weak as a sheet of paper.]
"What am I even doing?"
"I should have been with my wife..."
"Why am I even fighting this battle?"
"I can feel my body has reached its limit... Then why am I struggling so much?"
"Haaaaa...."
"I won't die until I see my family. My wife and child are waiting for me... I cannot be killed by the likes of you... Not here... Not now..."
"I will break past my limits right here and now..."
Jin screamed as he continued to push harder, trying to break past his limits. He has come so far not to just die in some Ice Litch's hand. His strikes were getting stronger and sharper.
The Ice Litch jumped back, creating distance between them, and launched a barrage of ice shards toward Jin.
[Zing] [Zing] Jin dashed toward the Ice Litch for close combat, taking advantage of the slippery frozen ground while slashing the ice shards with his frozen sword.
"So slow... What's this feeling?"
Jin's body was glowing with a golden hue as he continued to parry and attack the enemy in front of his eyes. Everything around him seemed to slow down, and his speed was getting faster.
[Booom] [Bang] Sparks of blue aura and ice magic were all over the battlefield. The ice tornado seemed to have reached its timeout. The Ice Litch was running out of energy.
[Wooosh] The ice tornado disappeared.
"Now! Jess!" Jin screamed.
[Bang] A bullet pierced the Ice Litch's staff.
"Haaaa... Die, freak," Jin yelled as he dashed in front of the Ice Litch. A crescent arc of golden energy emerged from his sword, tearing apart the Ice Litch into nothingness.
"Arrrgggggggg!!!!"
"Hahahahaha... We won..."
Jin let out a joyous scream of victory.
"Boss!!!"
"Your energy... You reached the legendary 9th tier..."
"How did you do it? You skipped the 8th tier... You are incredible, Boss..."
Jess, the team's sniper, yelled in shock, seeing the golden aura radiating from Jin's body.
"Hahaha... Who knows..." Jin said with a confused expression, "We will talk about this later. We are heading home... I can't wait to see my child... Hurry up." He called for his aircraft.
