Chapter 6: What I know
I guess I should talk about what I've found out so far. Let's start with the royalty. The king, is 67 years old, and he still looks in his 20's. He has 3 Daughters, two sons. Princess Wendy, Prince Sebastian, and the royal triplets, Princess Charlie, Princess Elizabeth, And Prince Raymond.
The last three are nice,they come into the shop every now and then, and the king lets them go on adventurer trips. The royal triplets are my age, while Princess Wendy is 19, with Prince Sebastian being 18. Sebastian is the heir, but until he passes the king's test, he's gonna have to wait.
Plus, he has to wait a year until his birthday to take it again. Wendy, is apparently the one who had the king's wallet. She apparently was out shopping for magic crystals, for her experiments.
As I've heard, she has a very versatile element, but I don't understand much about the affinities appearntly. So, I've been saying 'Affinity' but it's really elements. The element you use, are upgraded by your affinity. Discovered by Wendy, actually, is that people that can't use magic until they get the system, get to pick a element, when they get it.
Affinities are natural, and the systems are controlled by the king of the gods. Let's say you had a Fire affinity and the "steam" element. the heat of the steam would be upgraded by the affinity. the affinity will upgrade that part of a element. As I don't know the elements that Ben and Mary have, I can't tell exactly how it works.
Plus, people will keep there elements a secret, The only people who they'll tell is family, important figures, or close friends. Mainly because if a enemy kingdom finds the information, they'll have a advantage.
There are still ways to do it, but it's time consuming. What I was told about my affinities before,
"I can reach through a portal the size of my hand, and be used as a flashlight"
is if I have the weakest version of the element of those affinities. However, I still have a chance to get a strong element, so hopefully I'll get lucky. Oh yeah, I haven't written this yet, but this is being written in a journal I bought a little bit ago, so that if anyone finds it, they can use it to tell my story. hopefully, I'll get it back home to Earth, people might enjoy this...
