On the Guild Residence main hall. Leroy sat with his personal guards, in front of him was a guild member with a treasure chest.
It was a rare to obtain treasure chests of gold rank and above, when someone of the guild found one, they would try their best to bring it over to Leroy to open it for them.
Leroy, of course, didn't mind. He didn't use his luck skills and opened the chest. The chest radiated a green aura as an exquisite bow appeared, next to it was a scroll.
The player, seeing the item inmediatly jumped in excitement. It was hard to obtain better equipment for them, not because of their abilities, but because all of his equipment was dark gold rank already, only set equipment or epic rank ones could help him improve his stats. One could buy epic equipment at places like Blackwing City but who had more than 2,000 Gold Coins to expend on a single item?.
The scroll was a Tier 2 simgle use Magic Array, magic arrays could be used to weaken monsters or players and were very powerfull at that.
The player thanked him continously, Leroy was afraid that if there wasn't a table in the middle he would jump over and kiss him
Even though the player couldn't use the bow, he could at least sell it or trade it for something suitable.
"Lad, your new records on herbs and fruits has helped the lifestyle classes inmensely, some had already promoted their rank" he received a message from Old Pat.
"Heh, if they can't do that, we may as well kick them out." Leroy said.
What he said wasn't wrong though, what Lifestyle players lacked the most was information about the various materials on God's Domain, he shared some descriptions and use of some herbs recorded on the alchemy book.
Old Pat nodded "We have started spreading rumours slowly, some players has taken the bait. There are some alchemist that has made contact with us on the forums, stating they want to join our shop" He said.
"If they are capable and sign the contract that I gave them, just pay the teleportation fees and give them access to the enciclopedy, no need to be stingy" Leroy said casually.
"Yes, currently we have fifty people allowed access to the information. Also, we have already sent a message, that we are buying high ranked chest 35% above market price" Old Pat said while looking at Leroy. It was a very expensive price to pay for treasure chest. If your luck was good then you might make profit. But most probably one would just take a loss at this price.
"It's alright, it is my money anyway" Leroy said and got up from the table.
What a joke, if with his Luck attribute, he didn't make big profit, then it would be a miracle already, a loss?.
"There hasn't been any offer of high ranked treasure chests yet, but we brought information about a Great Lord Rank boss. If you have time you should join Ford on the raid" Old Pat said
"I have some other place to go, it's possible that no one would be able to contact me there" Leroy said and took out a scroll.
Activating the scroll he was teleported, leaving Old Pat alone.
He was growing more and more tired this guild things.
You have entered the Undead Realm. You have been approved by the Realm.
As he entered, he noticed that the supression to his attributes from the realm disappeared.
He appeared near the cathedral, it's front was still destroyed from his fight with Poltier.
'It seems undead creatures dosn't care about this kind of thing' Leroy didn't now if that was the case or it was because of the lack of a leader.
He then continued to stroll around the town. All of its buildings looked a dilapidated, undead humanoid and undead creatures could be seen from time to time as if they were npcs on a normal town.
The only different thing from before was some items that they sold here has changed slightly. He saw a book on one of the shops, it was a book that introduced basic lenguage that undead creatures used.
Leroy used some monster's bones that he had on his inventory.
Looking at the bones, he remembered that there was some bone spells that dealt magic damage as physical damage here. Having a physical damage skill would certainly be usefull, specially when fighting other magic type players or creatures. Altough Leroy had very powerful spells, no other could compare to his Dark Spear, it simply ignored an enemy defense and exploded on the inside dealing ridiculous damage.
He walked this time toward a building bigger than the others in the middle of the town, not far from the cathedral. He could hear some voices from the undead creatures now, they didn't really produce any sound but they still could communicate.
The building in question was a house that couldn't be called a mansion. It had a dark colour outside and altough it had a very decayed appearence, it seemed better than the other buildings.
Next to the door stood a skeleton that was wearing a steward's suit. Leroy walked a low stair and walked toward the door.
"Sage... chiefff" The steward bowed slightly and stepped to the side while signaling him to come in.
Leroy was surprised but couldn't understand him completely. He still entered the building.
Inside, between webs and cracks on the wall, a long table with candless an a dozen of chairs greeted him, there were old frames with exquisite carvings, but whatever was painted on them, has decayed beyond recognition.
"Pleassse.. follooww" The skeleton steward said and pointed at himself. He started walking toward the door at other side of the room.
Leroy followed him through five rooms until the skeleton stopped. They were on something that felt like an office room, the skeleton rose a finger and a magic array protecting the room appeared, just the aura it radiated drained the color of Leroy's face. But the skeleton put his palm on the barrier and it suddenly vanished.
"Ssage.." The skeleton entered the room and looked at him.
Leroy followed him into the office, it had a desk in and many pots but no plants.
Once inside the skeleton got close to the desk and put his palm on a few pages of paper. A barrier once again appeared and disappeared. He picked up the papers and gave them to Leroy.
Picking up the items, Leroy found it had no title, but the first pages had the Half-Moon Mage's words.
"Inheritor, when I arrived at this realm by accident at that time, this place was not even a town but a common place for the undead to gather and trade which I certainly had never imagined that they could. Anyway, after time, I started building structures and facilities to make it more comfortable. Soon more undeads were interested on this area and a town was then created, I named it Sage's Town. Since I'm no longer here, its only right that you manage the town from now on and bring prosperity to the creatures living within."
This was the only message on the first page.
He then continued reading the others, they explained a bit about undeads. Some of them had been on this realm for a really long time, this area was not particulary rich and didn't attract powerful undeads. But there where other undead cities and necropolis that brimmed with activity. He explained that undead would trade items in exchange of Bone Dusts and Undead Essence. One could get Bone Dust from all animal bone's, while Undead Essence would drop from undead creatures, but he could also use a tool to extract the essence of the living, and refine it into Undead Essence. These were the most basic items that Tier 3 and below undeads were after, it was like common currency and would allow them to increase their power.
At the final page, the words "Sage's Town Chief" were written and an empty frame was below.
System: "You are now Sage's Town Chief. Please sign the papers."
Leroy frowned at the focefull ways of the system. But didn't complain, Vlaric gave him very useful skills and items, without them it would have been a harder journey.
He then proceded to write "Sensations" on the empty spot.
System: "You are now the town chief."
"No special reward?" Leroy raised an eyebrow, he really wanted to curse the system now.
"The bones gives strength, the essence raisess the intelligence" The steward voice sounded.
"So that are their uses?" The pages didn't explain what the items were used for. Leroy tougth that this steward must be far from ordinary, he was even allowed to pass through these powerful restrictions.
'If Vlaric thought so highly of him, he must be quite capable' Leroy saw that the undeads on the town had levels from 10 to 30, they didn't seem strong at all.
"So we should first get more bone dust and undead essences right?" Leroy asked the steward, who nodded. The steward took out a book and passed it to Leroy.
(Basic Undead Refinement Book)
Use to learn to refine bone dust and undead essences from bones and essences.
Leroy inmediatly learnt the book and new skills appeared on his character window.
The steward then signaled him to follow and walked outside the room. They arrived at a room that had equipment similar to the ones used by alchemists these days.
'This equipment is actually quite good' Leroy observed the items inside. 'Its a shame I didn't bring any bone to test the technique'
The steward then walked over and took an orb from one of the tables. He brought the item to Leroy.
(Essence extractor orb.)
When killing, the orb extracts a part of enemy essence.
'So this is how you get the essences.' Leroy put the orb on his inventory. And looked at the steward, he moved and guided Leroy to the entrance.
Just as they stepped outside, a skeleton was waiting for them, Leroy recognized him as someone in charge of a shop on the town.
"Troublee, trolls" He was even worse than the steward, but Leroy knew it was him who had a shallow understanding of their lenguage.
The steward patted Leroy's shoulder after hearing what the other said. Leroy looked at him and nodded.
"Guide me" Leroy told the skeleton and it quickly started running, they arrived outside one of the shops.
"Troll, thief!" The skeleton spoke resentfully.
There was a four meter tall-three eyed troll taking items outside the shop.
Three eyed troll (Lord Rank)
Level 24
HP: 106,500/106,500
Looking over at the thief, Leroy had an annoyed expression on his face. This little creature actually dared to steal on the town he was in charge less than an hour ago.
Other skeletons were also watching the scene expressing their frustration with their movements.
"Hey big idiot, where do you think you are at? I'll give you a minute to put all the items back on the shop"
Leroy spoke on the common undead lenguage, altough he wasn't proficient with it yet, they could still understand him.
Hearing this small creature speak to him like this, the three eyed troll walked over with a big piece of wood on his hand.
"Not hearing to reason then" Leroy smiled and a dark arrow with silver patterns appeared in front of him. He shooted it toward the three eyed troll's right leg.

Clash
The troll inmediatly fell on the injured knee and a painful howl came from his mouth.
It grew angrier and stood up once again and charged at Leroy.
'Is this creature intelligence so low?' Leroy was surprised that the troll still attacked him despite receiving that damage from a basic spell.
'Dark Arrow'

This time, the arrow struck the troll's left leg, and it fell on both knees in front of leroy.
'Dark Fireball'
Leroy moved his hand and aimed his palm at the troll's face while dark silver mana gathered in the form of a flame. The troll seemed to finally understand who was the bigger dog and made pleading sounds.
"It's too late now" Leroy said and the fireball made contact with the creatures face.

The troll's head desintegrated followed by his body, only a small bag and loot remained. Leroy took the bones and a little ball of light first.
Acquired: Refined Bone Dust.
Acquired: Low Grade Undead Essence.
'It seems all creatures here drop Bone Dust directly after they die' Leroy tought to himself.
The skeletons looked over with relief and gratefulness.
"Where did the troll came from?" Leroy asked, there shouldn't be just a single troll.
"Chieff, the mountain" The shop owner said while pointing his finger in one direction.
Leroy couldn't see the mountain in question as his gaze was blocked by the buildings, but he understood.
He then started walking toward the mountain, seeing him doing this, some skeletons also followed him bringing sword and spears with them.
Outside the town, Leroy finally could see a small mountain outside, he didn't stop walking. On the way, there met many creatures and skeletons transporting goods through the plains on undead horses.
At the foot of the mountain, Leroy found the first trolls, these were only common and elites at Level 18.
He didn't bother with words and started killing right away, two dozen skeletons that followed him also joined the attacks. Leroy simply left them battle too and vent some anger and earn rewards from the trolls.
After the initial team of trolls were killed, the skeletons gathered the bones and essences. They quickly started absorving the essences and used the bone dust on their own bones.
Leroy pointed his finger at the trolls that he had killed and the following skeletons also used their bones and essences. They were clearly stronger than before.
Leroy continued walking up the mountain, there were many trolls on their way but they were easily butchered by them. Every group had fifteen to twenty trolls and some had a Chieftain Rank one. Those skeletons that got the bones from the Chieftain made elated sounds and grew even stronger than the others.
