Chapter 13: Trade

"Hehe, this is interesting" Leroy spoke to himself while staring at the loot organized in front of him.

In front of him were three gold-rank equipment and a dozen of silver-rank ones, along with many materials. Among them, four Tier 1 Gemstones

Gemstones could be used to increase his basic attributes, they would definetly be usefull to him. Altough he had many percentage bonuses from his ring and weapon, they would only shine once his raw attributes increased.

Acquired: Sorpos's Head (Quest Item)

Among the gold-rank equipment, the most valuable was a ring that had an attached skill, it was meant for agility-type classes.

He also leveled up and was halfway into Level 12 now.

He summoned skeletons to fill the empty spots left by the killed ones.

"Undead Wolf Call" he chanted another skill

Rour!

Six wolves appeared close to him. They were larger than the ones he could summon before, their bones seemed cleaner and their flesh tougther.

"Nice, now, spread and hunt" Leroy commanded the wolves and they went in different directions into the woods.

"Now time to continue working" He wasn't in a rush to return the quest, even more so at the rate he was leveling at this place. Each skeleton could solo a common monster easily, they were no different from a player at the same Level, actuallly probably stronger.

The notifications of the Undead Wolfs killing monsters didn't make him wait.

Unless they killed a monster who dropped something good, he would not tell them to bring him the loot and just to continue killing, rising his EXP bar quickly.

Moving trough the trees, he quickly found a target.

White River Bear (Common)

Level: 18

HP: 8,000/8,000

It was a two meter tall bear.

"Dark Arrow" A big arrow of dark mana appeared and inmediatly shoot towards the bear.

-3901

The bear lost balance and crashed into the nearby bushes and dirt, forming a cloud of dust as it fell cl

"Dark Spear" His mana gathered in a spear-like shape, he pointed his finger and it disappeared into the cloud of dust.

-6532

Creak! The tree split and fell.

Seeing his damage output, he was satisfied. That was a Level 18 monster!, yet it died in two hits from a Level 12 player. Leroy continued his path looking for another bear.

"Dark Arrow" "Dark Spear"

-7610 Critical Hit

-6475

This time, he casted both skills at the same time and didn't give the bear a chance, the arrow even landed a critical hit.

Leroy and his summons continued to hunt down the monsters in the area, his Exp bar continuously rising. After a few hours a wolf actually found two Chieftain-Rank monsters which just the wolves alone turned to shreds. He stopped once he hit Level 14 and used a Return Scroll, teleporting to White River City again.

White River City was still almost empty of players, only a handfull had arrived, for what he knew, also, that Ye Feng started selling a guide of the city for real life Credits. He brought the guide as it was much more convinient than exploring the city and saved himself quite some time.

He went to the Auction House, it was much larger than what you could find at a town. His potions have sold well and fast, he put the equipment he looted, including the gold-ranked ones, he also added materials he couldn't use like forging materials. Altough he knew some forging he would rather not lose much time and focused on alchemy, he wouldn't be capable of using a weapon or metal armor anyway so learning it would be unnecesary.

What Leroy was lacking right now was a good leveling location, altough the monsters in the forest were higher level and gave a good amount of bonus exp, he could kill them easily, hunting stronger monsters would be much more efficient. That was the main reason he spent 20,000 Credits buying the guide.

He also noticed that quite a few little guilds were demanding for a Leveling Secret from him and Ye Feng, this actually made him smile. Ye Feng actually mocked and provoked them instead of giving anything.

He hide his Level, and it instantly disappeared from the rankings.

City Hall

"Thank you adventurer, for your contribution toward the city" the NPC received the werewolf head and gave him the reward, his exp rose by 20% which was quite a lot, he also received a gold rank robe for cursemancers but it wasn't usefull to him, it also rewarded him with city reputation points.

Next he went to the Bank, there he put all the items he acquired before.

Just as he was about to leave, Ye Feng sent him a message asking if he had Hard Stones to sell. Actually, almost dominating the woods with his monsters, plus his luck attribute, he managed to gather lots of Hard Stone stacks, he even left some behind as his inventory was getting full of items.

Five minutes after, Ye Feng arrived at the city bank.

"Brother Sensations, I didn't expect you to have so many Hard Stones, it seems you've been working hard" Ye Feng voice sounded as Leroy turned his head.

"Well, they are fairly ease to obtain so..." Leroy sent him a trade request and put more than sixty stacks of items in the window.

On the other hand, Ye Feng paid him with coins and Advanced Whetstones.

They quickly concluded the trade.

"Hehe Brother Sensations surely levels fast" Ye Feng said, it would be nice to have a friendly relationship with someone like Sensations, especially since he was planning on establishing the Guild next week or so. Not only he had a hidden class he couldn't see through, his leveling speed was something he never expected to see and altough his equipment effects were hidden they were definetly Gold and higher ranks.

"I just found some nice quests nothing much" Sensations said with a smile "Well, I better get moving or else others will surpass me" with that, Leroy left the Bank and went once again to the city gates, this time he didn't bother picking up a quest, he would level up faster killing monsters with his summons.

"Heh, surpass you said..." Ye Feng mouth twitched a little seeing that the first ranked player was just at Level 10 now.

Leroy passed through a mountain range before arriving at a valley. Level 22 golems could be seeing in large quantities.

Leroy raised a finger and inmediatly a team of six wolves started attacking and gathering the golems into a center position.

More than sixty golems, including two Chieftain and a Lord Rank ones gathered with the wolves at the center.

Leroy drank a casting potion, and started casting while a team of skeleton charged toward the monsters.

"Unholy Domain" "Call of the Sage"

Dark mana sorrounded the area and a chilling aura spreaded in the sorroundings, his and his summon's attributes increased by 60% and the golems which were slow to begin with, slowed down further almost into a stop. He also summoned a creature from the Undead Realm, as it was casted into the Unholy Domain, it gained an extra Tier.

Fiendish Wyvern (High Lord Rank)

Level: 19

"Hell Fire" "Dark Rain"

He casted both AOE spell and the summoned wyvern started breathing silver colored flames into the monsters. Dark Rain couldn't be considered a true AOE spell but it would work.

-2,345

-2,960

-3,214

-3,105

-6,357 Critical Hit

-14,021

His Hell Fire landed damage above 3,000 damage, while the Dark Rain dealt more than 2,000 damage yet it was quite a distance away from the Wyvern damage output, it was a stunning 14,000 damage. Just this attacks made all the common ranked golems dissapear and even the Chieftains didn't survive the attacks, only the Lord Rank one stood with 1/4 of his HP.

Leroy casted a spell and mana started being released from his finger, he draw an horizontal line and a torrent of mana exploded out in the form of waves.

"Dark Slash"

-4230

-4340

-8460 Critical Hit

-8420 Critical Hit

Seven waves hit the golem but even before all managed to land, he already burst into pieces.

You have leveled up.

The skeletons which were approaching, lose their target and inmediatly started gathering the loot.

There were plenty of Hard Stone that Ye Feng and other guilds would buy, some gemstones and useful ores were dropped by this monsters too, the Lord rank boss even dropped some gold rank equipment. This was a location that Ye Feng told him about, it was suficiently high Level and the drops were very valuable too.

With the reward of the quests and the sell of potions, materials and equpments, he had almost a thousand Gold Coins now.

He picked up the items while another batch of monsters were pulled by the wolf, this time it only consisted of common monsters yet the numbers didn't disapoint him.

"Hell Fire" "Dark Rain" "Dark Slash"

His casting speed and technique helped him casting the three spells almost at the same time, it was definetly something no other player could reproduce. The wyvern also joined in the attack spiting fire around.

He grinded here for almost two days before heading back to White River City.

Once there, he contacted Ye Feng. He ended up selling him more than a hundred fifty stacks of Hard Stones and some rare ores he requested before. Ye Feng gave him the information about the hunting ground so naturaly he would sell him the items he required before selling in the Auction House.

Once the transaction concluded, he put some items on the Bank and went to the Auction House. He had acquired hundreds of Gold Coins through the sell of Gold Rank equipment, potions and crafting materials, with his sales of Hard Stone he also made several dozens of Gold Coins.

Now there were thousands of players in White River City and everything was much more lively, dozens of different guilds arrived each day from the beginner towns.

His Alchemy was at Intermediate-Rank still, he felt that it was time to level it up a bit, he acquired lots of common and rare herbs on his way, but didn't manage to gather much while farming golems, so he spent about 15 Gold Coins buy high quantities of herbs. He also started trading Hard Stones for some of the more rare herbs with guilds.

Hard Stones would be sold at the same time it was put in the Auction House. Guilds were having a crisis over their equipment durability and were in desperate need of Hard Stones, especially in large quantities. Making use of their situation, Leroy ripped the herbs off them by exchanging an unfair ratio, yet they could only grit their teeths as Hard Stones were critical to their guilds development.

In the a room in the Alchemy Association.

He continued to craft Intermediate Recovery Potions until he finished his herbs, he still had some herbs but couldn't be used for the recipes he knew, he also spent many hours here and had no intention of researching and testing new recipes.

Next he put a few stacks of potions in the bank, and headed once again to the golems hunting ground. This time, with a different goal.

"A new guild eh? Well this could get interesting" He mutered while recalling what Ye Feng told him about joining a new guild he was thinking of creating. He could join the guild and get access to information that even super guilds wouldn't, also he would not be restricted as most members would be upon joining it.

There was plenty of benefits from joining a guild too, not just information but a guild with thousands of players could gather rare resources and he could pick elite players to go clear dungeons. Some dungeons required a team of twenty players to open so it was a convinient to have guild members to go with.

He still contemplated wheter or not to join a guild, even if Ye Feng said he would not be restricted as other members, there would still be restrictions, like the need to go pk or war against other guilds just because some random guy triggered a conflict, colaborate in team dungeons, and many other responsabilities.

On the other hand independant players could focus on what they truly wanted and not bothering about guild stuff, while they wouldn't have the benefits a guild could provide, they also wouldn't have any kind of restriction to them.

He would have to think about it for some time.

First, he needed to help Old Pat and investors into establishing a guild in God's Domain, only after that would he be free to do what he wanted.

It would also take some time for him to get used to the lifestyle here.
