Chapter 1: Chapter 1-The last hope of humanity.
The Ragnarok Tournament was in full swing. The battle for the fate of humanity seemed lost, almost all human fighters were defeated. Humanity had only one last fighter left.
Göll said to her sister, "This is our end, Brunhilde. This last fighter cannot possibly defeat them all alone." Brunhilde was lost in thought it was true, it looked really bad. Hopefully this guy was really as strong as everyone said.
Thor was already standing in the arena waiting for his opponent. He hoped that this person was at least as strong as his last opponent. When Heimdall announced the name of his opponent.
He is the strongest hero on earth, defeating each of his opponents with just one punch. He is also the only human participant who is actually still alive and not from the past. Saitama the one punch man.
A lanky looking bald man entered the arena. He wore a yellow suit with a white cape. He also wore a pair of red gloves and a pair of red boots and a , it looked more like the cheapest offer from a bad costume store. Than a real superhero suit.
Immediately, all the gods except Thor started laughing.
One of them shouted: "He is supposed to be the strongest man on earth at the moment, he doesn't even reach Thor's chest." Another one said: " That's ridiculous, and he is supposed to defeat Thor, he is thinner than Thor's arm.
Forseti said: "Laughable Thor will end this with only one strike".
All the humans in the arena were unsettled. One said, "Can this man really be the strongest person? He does not look strong at all. Another said, "Maybe he is stronger than he Adam and Kojiro Sasaki were also not huge mountains of muscle like Lü Bu and Raiden Tameemon. A third replied, "I hope you're right. Because otherwise this is the end of us all".
Göll said: "That's it, we are doomed. He doesn't even have muscles, he's never stronger than Lü Bu". Brunhilde looked quite composed, but in truth she was also worried. She ran downstairs and shouted, "Hey, where are you going, you don't have a weapon yet". The baldy replied, "Oh, I don't need one". Brunhilde replied: "What does that mean".
But before she could finish, the bald man moved with incredible speed towards Thor and stopped in front of him. Silence spread through the arena for a moment. Then the gods started laughing again. Saitama was with 1,75 m averagely tall and also not untrained but next to the well over two meters tall Thor he looked small and lanky. Thor thought to himself, is this supposed to be a bad joke. This baldy is never as strong as Lü Bu or even stronger. On the other hand, he had moved pretty fast for a human. But just because he fast doesn't mean he's strong. Thor was pulled out of his thoughts as the bald man asked him, "Are you my opponent". Thor ignored the question and asked,
"Who are you? Why did you come here? I'm giving you one last chance to run away, I don't like wasting my time on weaklings".
Saitama replied," I'm just a guy who's hero for fun and I came here to prevent you all from destroying humanity and I also hope you're not weak and survive at least one punch. Oh, and what is wrong with your Hammer".
Thor replied," Well, if you want to die so badly. I am Thor, the god of thunder and. Can't be at all, Saitama interrupted him. I saw a picture of Thor on TV, he looks completely different, and your hammer is also wrong. Thor's hammer looks different and has no disgusting organs". Thor was taken aback and replied, "Ok, I'll kill you for that disrespect".
Saitama replied, "Yeah yeah but hurry up, I don't want to miss the bargain day at the supermarket this afternoon".
Thor decided to test the bald man. He would use a weak attack. If he died, he wasn't worth using a stronger attack. If he survived, he would know he was strong enough to give a good fight. After finishing the thought, he took his hammer and struck.
Even though it was a weak attack. It was still incredibly strong and kicked up a lot of dust. Even so, the bald man had made no effort to dodge. After that, every god and man was convinced that the fight was humans had already accepted their fate. When the dust cleared, everyone was shocked. The baldy had intercepted Thor's hammer with one hand. He was pushed into the ground a bit by the force of the attack but was otherwise unharmed. The bald man grinned and said,
"Ok, my turn". With these words he punched Thor in the stomach. He flew all over the arena and crashed into the wall under the stands. Thor spit up some blood and slowly got back to his feet and asked," what was that". Saitama replied, "a normal punch".
Thor was back on his feet and jumped towards the bald man. He dodged without any problems. Thor used much more force now and hit Saitama sideways, sending him halfway across the arena. Despite this, the bald man was still unharmed. Thor wasted no time. He charged at the bald man and hit him again and again with his hammer. The baldy blocked the blows.
One of the people asked, "Why doesn't he move out of the way? He's fast enough, so why does he let himself get hit so often"? Another shouted into the arena, "Dodge or do you want to die"?
Göll said: "They are right. Why does he let himself be hit so often? He is more than just fast enough to dodge"?
Brunhilde answered: "He also doesn't seem to use any fighting style except to strike straight ahead. I hope he knows what he is doing? Because otherwise. I don't even want to think about it".
Saitama ignored the shouts from the stands. They would only raise his hopes. However, he was quite annoyed. If they didn't believe in his victory anyway. Then why had they brought him here in the first place? However, the attacks of his opponent did not hurt him. There was no need to dodge. In fact, he wouldn't even have to dodge and could just let himself be hit. But he recognized himself in his opponent. Thor could also never show his full strength in battle. He wanted to give him the fight he had been looking for for years before he finished him off. He also wanted to know how strong his opponent was.
When Thor tried to strike again, Saitama blocked the hammer with a blow of his own, which knocked Thor off balance for a moment.
Saitama took this chance and said:" consecutive normal punches". With that said he gave Thor several blows at once. Thor was thrown back a few meters, he spat a lot of blood and sank to his knees. He got up heavily
and asked:" What is your name".
Saitama answered: " It's Saitama".
Thor smiled and said, "Saitama you are a more than just a worthy opponent. From now on I fight with full power".
Saitama replied: "You are pretty strong, too".
Zeus watched the action from his seat. Actually all human fighters had already been defeated. But Brunhilde had asked to be allowed to select one last fighter for mankind. Confidently, he had granted this request. After all, there were still more than half of the participating Gods left. Enough to defeat even someone at Adam level. However, by now, he was doubting his decision. This human seemed to be quite strong. He could hurt Thor, and yet he had not entered into a volund with a Valkyrie. Or maybe Brunhilde had staged this conversation and his gloves were his weapons. However, Thor had not lost yet, and he himself had recovered from his injuries in the fight against Adam. If Thor and the others lost, he would crush this human himself. However, he did not want to do so immediately. He wanted to study this human's abilities first. Once again, he would not make the same mistake as he did against Adam and blindly walk into the trap.
Brunhilde was quite desperate. She had actually only brought Saitama here out of desperation. She had heard about his strength but didn't believe the rumors until now. However, she had no other choice, all the other human fighters were dead and too many gods were still alive. How could her plan have failed so badly. Some had simply given up as well. That was the reason why she and two of her sisters were still alive. But to think what Zeus would do to them if he won and their last fighter didn't even have a weapon. So she watched the fight, ironically hoping for a miracle.
Thor attacked Saitama again. Saitama ran backwards and warded off Thor's attacks with his arm. He thought about this morning. When he woke up and really just wanted to watch some TV, kill some monsters, and not miss bargain day at the supermarket. When suddenly a woman with long dark blue hair showed up at his place and asked him to participate in this tournament (whose name he had already forgotten) to save humanity.
Thor hit Saitama with his hammer in the air, jumped behind and hit Saitama with Thor's hammer back on the ground Saitama lay in a crater and looked bored upwards.
Thor suddenly yelled," enough". Then he threw his hammer at Saitama. He dodged by ducking backwards. Then he jumped towards Thor with his fist raised and was hit by Mjölnir in the back of the head and flew face first onto the ground. For a short while, everyone thought it was over. But then he got back up, looking angry. Thor caught his hammer and used the momentum to deliver a devastating blow he called Geirröd. Saitama countered with his own punch. Both attacks could have destroyed the earth. Thor was knocked back by the impact.
Saitama said, "Oh, sorry about your hammer".
Thor looked at his hammer and said, "impossible". Mjölnir had a dent in it. This man had damaged the most powerful weapon in the heavens with no problem.
Thor threw his hammer a second time. This time, Saitama stopped. His face turned serious, and he caught the hammer with his hand. He was dragged around the arena a bit, but then came to a stop, holding the hammer in his hand. His glove burned instantly. He said, "It's pretty warm, and threw it back.
Thor readied himself and caught his hammer again, he too was dragged a few feet through the arena but came to a stop as well. Then he leaned back unnaturally far,
Saitama said," are you ok? Can you be helped? Is the hammer too heavy or did I throw too hard?" Thor said "Saitama Of all my opponents, only you have survived this long and driven me this far"." I'll finish this now". Geirröd Thor's hammer."
Thor smiled. This was the fight he had always been looking for, he was getting ready to deliver the strongest blow he had ever used. Much stronger than the one against Lü Bu. He hadn't had much time to train with his awakened hammer but still he gets ready to put all his power into this final attack. It was like his heart started beating for the first time since a long time.
Saitama said, "In that case, I'll also use my final move killer move serious series serious punch".
The two attacks collided with each other. Thor's attack was strong enough to shatter several earths. Saitama put a little more power into this punch than the one he had used against the leader of the spaceship. Thor quickly realized that he would lose the clash of the two attacks. Thor recognized his opponent's bored face as his own. Then he understood.
He smiled and said, "Looks like I never stood a chance". Then the blast wave of Saitama's punch hit him.
The impact released so much energy that no one could see anything. When everyone could see again, they were all shocked. The bald man stood there unharmed, only his fist smoked a bit. But much more shocking was Thor's condition. Mjölnir and Thor's upper body were no longer existent. Thor's remaining lower body sank to its knees and fell into the dirt.
Forseti said," Impossible. Thor fallen in battle with a human".
"Oh how unexpected," Loki said with a grin.
"Impossible," said Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn.
Odin himself said nothing, he just twisted his face into a grim look and watched what was happening.
Suddenly one of the gods shouted," look up there".
Shiva first looked in the direction in which the god had pointed. His eyes widened. Above the place where Thor had stood a few seconds ago. There was a huge hole in the wall of the arena, and behind it the sky split. All the people regained hope, and also Brunhilde and Göll believed in victory again. But for all was clear, the fight for the fate of mankind was far from over.

unknow10 This is my first fanfiction, and I am not a native english speaker. So please don't judge small mistakes too harshly. Otherwise, I don't know why everyone is writing it? I think on a fanfiction site it should be clear. But of course I don't own One punch man and Record of Ragnarok and all the characters in them. Otherwise, have fun with the story.
