Chapter 1: Ordained

"Arachet get behind me!" Pushing his lover behind him with his left arm, Ohr snatched a dagger from his Schenti. "I won't let them have you nor our son." He shouted against the howling winds while staring at the bobbing torches drawing closer.

Holding her leaking stomach Arachet collapsed with fatigue. "Ohr, I'm not ready to die." She told him as she rubbed her bulging belly. "And what will happen to our baby."

"You will live, and our son will be born to become a strong man like his father and wise as his mother."

Smiling at the thought, fear spread across the face of Arachet as their aggressors finally came in sight.

"Why don't you just hand me back what's rightfully mine and I may let you live." A man shouted through the darkness. "But that bastard child of yours will have to go."

"She is not yours to own!" Shouted Ohr.

"By law she is for her father gave her to me."

"She has freedoms of her own."

"The only freedom she haves is that I give to her."

Teleporting behind a tree a slender cloaked man with a staff peered at the scene with inquisitive eyes before sliding his gaze to Arachet who lay helpless in the dirt. "It seems the time has come." He muttered to himself.

"You know the punishment for stealing ones property. Do you not?"

"She is not yours Gard." Ohr spoke with intensity and rage. Steadying his breath Ohr's chest rose and fell showing the strength of his muscular build in the approaching light. "And if you want Arachet you will have to come take her once I'm dead."

Looking from one man to the next a menacing smirk spread across Gard's face. "You hear that. He is ready to become one with all. Let's fulfill his desire. Then we will fulfill ours." Shouting, the mob raised their weapons then charged with Gard in the lead.

Woosh! Teleporting in between the mob and the couple a cloaked man slammed his staff upon the ground releasing a purple wave of energy shoving the group backwards and knocking them down. Removing his hood, the man smiled at the lovers. "It seems that you are in need of assistance."

Bowing his head without taking his eyes off his pursuers Ohr told the man. "Thank you but if you are just here to take Arachet then I must decline your help."

Tilting his head, the man tugged at his Pharaoh like beard. "Though she has smooth skin the color of rich and fertile soil it is not she that I am here for but what resides within her."

"My son never."

"I don't want your child, but I want to help him. At any rate your child along with its mother will die and I am offering to change all that."

"But at what costs?" Ohr asked.

"I don't know what trickery or magic you just pulled but I will not let that deter me." Gard shouted standing to his feet he swung his cleaver in defiance. "But I will have your head and sing of this moment for a lifetime."

Sliding his gaze over at Gard and his men who were now rising to their feet collecting their weapons Prime chuckled. "Have my head." Laughing even more at the idea the sorcerer waved his staff through the air. "You better hope your men don't turn you into a stew."

"What…" Gard commenced to speak but soon found himself staring up at his men who peered down at him. "What are you looking at?" He attempted to shout but no words came out.

"He turned him into a rabbit!" one of the men screamed before turning tail and dashing off.

"I don't know what you did to me, but I will get my vengeance." Gard thought as he was swept off the ground and carried away.

Slashing his dagger through the air, Ohr stepped in front of his lover at the ready. "I don't know what you want with my child, but I won't let you have him."

Sighing the man bowed. "As I told you previously your child is not what I want. What I want is his survival. In a matter of a hour without my help Arachet will die and within a day or two so will Sampson."

Staring at the man wide-eyed Ohr asked. "How do you know my child's name when I haven't uttered it to no one 'xept my wife."

"Because this very moment has been ordained long before he was conceived. Sampson has decided his life when he was still one with source and I am only a tool to help him reach his destination."

"I am confused."

"As you should be for knowledge of truth have been buried and manipulated throughout the times but that doesn't make it any less a truth."

"Who are you?"

"I am Prime." Spoke the man transitioning into a raccoon humanoid. "And I am what they call an Arcadian."

"Like…" staring at the now masked man Ohr said. "Werewolves."

"Exactly you can consider me a were-raccoon or in other term beast folk."

Nodding his head slowly Ohr placed his attention on Arachete. Striding over to his wife and dropping to his knees, Ohr pulled his lover into his arms feeling a coldness grasp her body. "What is Sampsons destiny and what can you do for my wife?" he asked.

"Heal her and for his destiny he will live in between worlds learning to be both light and darkness. Life and Death as was in our nature."

"What does that mean?"

"That he will become something other than human and gain his on God-form. He is meant to change the world the question is will you allow him."

Rubbing Arachete's hands tears rolled down Ohr's cheeks. Nodding his head slowly he inhaled then stared into Prime's eyes with assuredness. "Do what you must?"

"Alright" Slamming his staff upon the ground a black and purple heptagram manifested underneath the couple. "Through your words and heart comes the springs of life." Prime told them. "Make sure you live up to the truth of what you are and know that love follows you as it resides within you." Watching the purple light spew into the air and breach the clouds, the same heptagram symbol formed on Arachete's belly. "May source and your higher-self guide you." With those words said Prime vanished.
