Chapter 2: Sonic the addicted hedgehog
"The skills are pretty self explanatory." I said looking at the skills that seem to fade from my view. [Scan] most likely scans my area for things.
[Energy manipulation] is my control over my demonic energy.
[Energy reinforcement] would be reinforcing my body with my energy.
"Do I need to train this or do I just have completed control over my energy?"
[You have completed control over it, but your reserves are really low. You only have enough for scan to be used once.]
"Can you put an MP bar and HP bar in my status?"

"Is my HP considered low?"
[yes. That will increase with your strength. For your MP to increase you would empty it or run it low and refill it by meditating or sleep.]
"Are demon stronger in magic or physical strength?"
[We are stronger in magic since the Angles always use sword and weapons. We mainly focus on our magic, but you can choose both.]
"I'll do this. Since I don't need to sleep I'll practice the [Demonic Arts] for six hours and then I'll increase my reserves for six hours and do normal exercises. Is it productive?"
[It is as long as you get stronger without harming your body to much it's fine.]
"Okay I'll start now then." I said and got up from my lotus position and started practicing the kata for [Demonic Arts]. I was stronger and faster, my movements got more refined and I was progressing at a nice pace.
'Maybe I am talented.'

<A week later>
"997...998...999...1000" I breathed out and let myself drop from the tree. I was doing hanging sit ups from a tree branch. While I was falling I did a flip and landed in a sitting position with my legs crossed.

In this week I've been doing nonstop training and development of my skills. I also made my own.
I got the skill [Demonic Ball] by making my Demonic energy form a ball. I constantly supply the ball with my energy till my own energy is at Zero then the ball started to disappear.
I would then recover that lost DP by meditating and that rose my reserves. [Energy Kick] is a really strong kick with my leg wrapped in my DP. Instead of reinforcing the kick it flys off my leg like a slash.
The Demonic Rankings are like this: F, F+, F++, D, D+, D++, E, E+, E++, C, C+, C++, B, B+, B++, A, A+, A++, S, S+, S++.
Apparently since I'm the Devils champion my growth rate is sped up, because one week of nonstop training shouldn't produce this type of result.
[Kyo, I think you should go try the battle room. Right now you are ready all that's left is to get experience. You could also get money to use the shop]
"I completely forgot about all of this. Thank you Eve. Can you put me in now?"
[No problem. 3..2..1.]
My vision went black and I slowly opened my eyes. I was in a dark room, but I could see clearly. I could also see some light on the ground that's the same as my eyes.
'I have night vision and my eyes glow slightly. Neat.' I thought. I started looking around and then out of nowhere a blue lightning bolt hits the ground a few meters in front of me.
This creature was something that I knew I would have in my nightmares. It had skinny legs with blue fur covering its body. Instead of shoes it was barefoot and had claws and it's body looked slightly metallic.
The hair went down its back and was messy. It was looking around vigorously and it was muttering about something.

'Who gave Sonic crack?' Was the first thought that went in my head.
[Get ready in 3...2...1..Begin]
As Eve said that sonic bolted at me. I could barely see him, but I managed to jump to the right. I saw it continue past me and ran up the wall onto the roof. It then started rolling making it even faster.
I breathed out and focused completely on the battle in front of me. It rolled at me again from up ahead and I jumped to the left. It did a sharp turn to the left and was coming at me again.
'I need it to stop moving just for a second and I could win this.' As I was thinking this it suddenly popped up in the air and threw a blue bolt of lightning at me.
I was struck in the left arm with it and my arm went numb. My arm was bleeding and it had a burn on it that looked like cracks.
The thing started back rolling in a ball, but this time it was rolling around me in circles. Every now and then it would throw a bolt at me. I always dodged, but I was loosing, blood from my arm.
It was healing, but slowly. I grounded myself in the middle and let it circle me. I then activated a skill I haven't used yet.
'[Full Focus]' I thought and everything slowed down. I could see sonic rolling and I could see his legs coming out getting ready to jump.
I started feeling the side effects of this skill too. It's a good skill, but right now it costs me too much DP. I started feeling tired, but I put all the power into my legs and ran to the crack head sonic.
I fell forward and put my hands to the ground like I was goo to fall. I used my momentum to go into a front flip and my leg was going to collide with Sonics head since he was jumping.
My right leg crashed into his head and I felt it cave in along with the brain exploding. Time sped up again and My foot crushed sonic into the ground and the room we were in shook.
A crater was under my feet and the room had cracks all over it like it would collapse any second. I couldn't worry about that though as I was falling unconscious due to DP exhaustion.

That was the last thing I heard then my vision went dark. I really needed to get more DP.

I woke up still in the forest and my head was hurting slightly. I got up with a groan and my body was sluggish.
"What did I get?" I asked holding my head.

"Go ahead and add them and open the shop."

"What's the difference between getting the skills or magic?"
[Lets say you got a skill that allows you to use ice. The ice would be strong, but if you bought the ice magic it would be way stronger than the skill. If you got both then the skill will grow in strength with your ice.]

A list of magic then appeared and it was a lot. Even some I wasn't expecting.

My body started crackling with red aches coming off my body. I could feel how energized my body was at the moment and it was amazing. I closed my eyes to get the lightning under control and it stopped.
"Do I have enough for a basic ninjatō?" I asked. I actually needed a weapon to master. The looks I made were obviously for a ninja build. That's also why I got lightning magic.
The speed and penetration plus the damaged it causes are all good if trained well. Even though my healing is done I still have that lightning scar on my arm.
[yes. It won't have any effects, but it should do for now.]
"Buy it."
[-50SP]
"For the next three months I'll be training then I think it's time I go to the dungeon. I could get DP way faster and get SP's."
[I'll make a alarm when you should go]
