Chapter 1: A certain somebody
It was midnight in Wencetown. In the street of No.15 Presslane was empty and quiet with only the sound of the wind. There was a man in a black coat beside a working lamp light opposite a house across the street.
Later, a woman appeared in the midst of trees,she walked towards the man and stood beside him.
"Got the bookskap?,"the man asked .
"I don't believe I'm missing my program for this, why does he get a bookskap?," she
asked .
"Apollo says he's, exceptional," said the man.
In a house across the street , there's a woman carrying a baby in the window.
"It's has been long since I last entered the human world... do you remember when he reigned terror in kelper?," he asked.
"That was weird he just disappeared," she said earnestly.
" I was the only witness, something tells me that this boy might be something else, if I'm correct he might be exceptional," he said.
"The mystery lies," she said.
The man brought out his hand and the woman gave him something, they both went across the street to the house.
They approached the door and he kept a furnished wooden frog with silver wings on their doorstep.
They both left and they reached a place where they vanished in thin air.
Years passed, the neighborhood had been more or less the same.
There was a boy named Elliot who belonged to a family of the comets.
His father was a manager of a commercial farm that sells fruits and vegetables in stock in Appleleaf . The mother is a receptionist in Ada that sells kitchen utensils.
Elliot attends a school at 'Bedrock Institute' where he was known for being catostrophic .
In the morning,a boy with black wavy hair reaching his neck was asleep on his his bed.
There was a knock on the door ,
"Elliot wake up you'll be late for school,"said the voice at the door. Elliot woke up rubbing his eyes.
Elliot got off the bed a started to prepare.
Later, he got dressed and went downstairs.
Elliot saw his mom in the kitchen making breakfast while his dad was reading his newspaper listening to his usual morning radio of the weather and winner of a weekly game show.
"Elliot watched the pot while I'm gone,"his mom said, a cheerful looking woman with blonde hair.
Elliot Went to the kitchen and Sat on the kitchen stool next to the kitchen table .
"I won't be long I'll be back in two minutes," said his mom.
His mom left the door , Elliot took time staring at the pot as the lid shakes and steam whistled, remembering the dream he had last night falling from a cliff. His dad muttered things like 'fasinating' and 'wonderful' of a book he was reading and the winner of the game show, "Oh that's new,Tony won this time," he said.
Elliot eyes left the pot and went to his parents wedding picture on the kitchen table .
'James Weds Jasmine', written at the bottom of the picture frame,they looked the same except they were younger and dad had a beard but now he shaved it and now wears a hat.
Eventually, his mom came back and went to the kitchen and checked for any burnt meat.
"I heard that there was a field trip you'll have before summer," she said and brought out the dishes and gave to Elliot.
"Yes but I don't know where we're going to exactly," said Elliot as he was setting up the table. They were done setting the table but his dad,Mr James preferred to sit in his chair eating from his stool but Mrs Jasmine beckoned him to sit in the dining table.
They were in the dining table,the table was silent except the sound of spoons until Mr James finally spoke up.
"Elliot," he said. " Yes dad," Elliot replied.
"Which field trip is that?," he asked.
"I don't know yet dad," Elliot said.
The conversation was already getting awkward mainly because they haven't had a family breakfast, lunch or dinner in a long time ,Mr James ate his food in the living room,Mrs Jasmine ate hers in the dining alone and Elliot ate in his room.
Seconds later, the bus came , Elliot left for Sterling street where the school is.
Elliot got down from the bus,there is a lane made of cobble stone reaching the school itself and around it was a field of grass and a stone platform written 'Bedrock institute' in bronze and students hosting, running around.
Elliot was in the hallway when he was met by two twins with curly brown hair with freckles named Liam and Harris .
"Elliot have you heard?," Harris asked, Elliot didn't show curiosity.
"I'm not a guy for field trips,I cause mayhem wherever I go,"said Elliot , remembering the when he thought he could outrun a hive of bees,it caused alot of people bees stings, luckily phy Ed teacher came to help.
"Elliot we're going to a boarding school out of town,"Liam said."Wait what?,"Elliot's eyes widened.
A bunch of chickens bursted out of the janitor's closet and the janitor running out coated with feathers.
Liam and Harris turned to Elliot," I didn't do anything," said Elliot calmly.
"Elliot Comet to principal's office, " said the speaker.
Later, Elliot was in the principal's office with the principal, a servre looking woman giving Elliot a dead eye stare .
" I didn't do anything this time," he said.
"It's not about what you did or didn't Elliot," said the principal.
"Your a trouble maker but your intelligence has brought this school to greater heights," she said.
"So why did you call me here?," Elliot said.
"This week is optional and after summer you will go to middle School and you'll will have to go home ," she said
"But why?,I didn't do anything wrong and today is the last time I will see my friends," Elliot said.
"I'm sorry but get off my office now," she said.
Elliot took off angrily.
It's not fair he didn't do anything wrong,he missed the chance to talk to Liam and Harris because he was in miss Aiden's class while others went for the field trip.
Later his parents had a talk with his principal and Elliot was reluctant to find out was it was.
They took him home and didn't talk to him about what they discussed.
Elliot was now thinking what he will have in-store for summer.
