Chapter 2: Free armor

After they all found their glass orbs as well to see what he was saying, they all were left stupefied. When they asked a question it answered sometimes, everyone on the beach was butt naked playing with glass orbs like some weird hippies. Some were crying in desperation as they asked it questions while others numbly looked out at the open ocean, as if hoping a ship would take them all away.

"It really says we are in another world bro…"

"I have ten extra points, do you got any bro?"

"I put all my so-called points in something, the hell is that list anyway."

"Bro is smart! I will do the same!"

The gang left the people on the beach and ventured deeper into the island hoping to find answers, sticking close together as they ventured deep in. They all put their points in random things without caring about what it was, instead they were more focused on the jungle around them. The two talkative ones kept babbling about what they found on the glass orb, while they all trampled through the jungle.

"Don't move."

"What do you see boss?"

"Shh! Look at that."

Pointing ahead to a tree, a green creature was sitting down holding a primitive axe. The creature was smaller than a person, but bigger than a monkey. It had no fur on its body but instead it had a nasty green face and body, like a creature straight from hell.

"It's got to be a monkey."

"Let's kill the thing."

Picking up a coconut one of the guys threw it at the chest of the creature, knocking it down. Before they could laugh at the creature falling down, it got up and let out a loud scream.

"The hell is wrong with that monkey?"

"Throw another coconut at it!"

This time it fell over and died when the coconut hit it in the head, unmoving on the ground. Walking over they looked closer at the creature, and it was creepy to look at. Sharp fangs stuck in the mouth with a crazed evil look in the eyes, similar to an animal with rabies it was foaming in the mouth.

"That axe is mine!"

"Nuh uh, I want it!"

They were fighting for the weapon when one of them spotted something lodged in the sand. It looked modern since it was covered in rust, or at the very least came from civilization somewhere. Walking over was their leader, the strongest man in the group and the same man who disarmed the girl in the alley. He ignored the banter of the group and kicked at the thing lodged in the dirt.

"The hell is this crap? An outfit of some kind?"

Looking closely at the helmet he could see a withered old skeleton inside the armor, but it was very hard to see into it with almost no way to see the face below. Glancing back at the group he called for their help and pulled out an entire armor suit. It was so thick and heavy it was near impractical for anyone to use.

"You're not thinking of wearing this are you boss…"

"Got anything better to wear out here?"

None of the other guys dared to put on the armor that was once holding a dead human skeleton, even if they were strong enough. Only one seemed indifferent to the idea of wearing an outfit someone who died wearing, like it was no big deal.

"Quit being a bunch of weaklings and help me get this on."

"Damn boss, you sure?"

A armor that was dirt smeared and covered in rust inside and out, with nothing not destroyed by weather or the hand of time. Nevertheless, it was armor and most importantly clothing.

"Is that heavy on you boss?"

"No, I just keep getting pinched in places. Why is it heavy for you?"

They all got confused at his response, like it was something they all noticed. Only now did he say it, did they finally grasp it. Not wanting to annoy their boss, one of them suddenly had a bright idea.

"Boss, I know you're strong. But that armor was heavier than a motorcycle, and the joints were rusted shut when I tried to move it…"

"Get to the point already!"

"Boss I think the points stuff actually made you strong, like superhuman strong."

They all stopped bantering at his words and started to use their points more seriously. But they already spent them all earlier, without paying attention to where at all.

"I put all my points in hair beauty?!"

"The hell is chopstick skills?"

"Why are all my points on just my right arm?"

"How come all my strength points went to my toe nails?!"

Confused at it all, they began to blame each other for their own stupid choices. A bunch of naked men in a jungle standing around a rusted armor suit were punching and kicking each other.

"It's your fault I spent all my points on my butt hair!"

"Nuh uh, you are just an idiot! My right arm of strength is undefeatable, it even vibrates!"

"Um boss, what did you do to get that strong?"

"I just thought about being stronger, why you ask?"

"Nothing, I got a louder voice for my points..."

"Oh that sucks… Why don't we go see that dork on the beach he might have an idea"

Stopping them from killing each other using their weird power by punching them in the metal armor, the boss led the group back to the beach. It didn't take long to find the dork ranting about using magic with a small candle like flame floating in front of him. Everyone else was still on the beach looking at his small flame like a group of homeless people around a fire. While his wife who ran off was now hugging his side looking at them fearfully.

"Hey you! Explain this crap!"

"Huh me?"

"Yea you! Who else has a floating candle!?"

He glanced over at the rest of the group giving his wife a nod and wandered over to the group of clearly thugs, this time with anger subtly hiding in his eyes. After silently listening to their points being wasted and how they found armor, the dorky guy was astonished and felt like falling over.

"Did, um… anyone in your group read the glass orb?"

He looked at the group of weirdos, one of them was rubbing his beautiful looking short hair like a teenage girl. Another was rubbing his butt, and one of them had a vibrating arm with it being where it shouldn't be in public having a stupid grin on his face staring at his wife…

"Yes we did! You think we are stupid or something!?"

"I don't think you are, I KNOW YOU ARE!"

Taken aback by his sudden shout of anger at them, their boss just swung out his fist casually in the metal armor hitting the dork's stomach hard. Knocking him to the floor like a ragdoll, while the rest of them attempted to lunge at the guy who insulted them.

"Burn!"

A sudden fire came out of the ground, preventing them from getting closer, hitting their group. The one with beautiful hair only cared about his hair on fire, while the one guy with the vibrating arm didn't even notice the fire on him as he kept going at it. The dorky guy was laughing at them all being burned in some way, a vengeful hate filled his eyes. Unable to take his crap anymore the boss ran through the small fire on the ground. Much to the dorky guy's astonishment and kicked him in the knees at full strength.

*Crack*

It happened far too quickly to even react, it felt like a truck drove into him at full speed. Gasping for air he clutched his legs with bones protruding outside them, pain and fear filled his face as he looked at the man before him. He was like a rusted metal demon from hell stomping down on him, as he tried to struggle free from the foot placed on his chest.

"Explain, or I am going to kill you."

****************************************************************************************************

Everyone on the beach ran away during the fight leaving the gang alone, while they interrogated the dorky guy. However a certain someone didn't run but chose to stay hidden nearby, hoping to rescue him.

"So what we desired it spent the points on? Even if we don't say it, as long as we hold onto the glass orb thingy?"

"Ugggh, yea, can you please get off me?"

Their boss was sitting on him as they questioned him, he was too scared to avoid their questions even though he just wanted to scream for help. He had to explain everything he knew, even things that were obvious just using the glass orb for themself.

"We got to find a magic circle to get off the island, and we need to do it soon."

"Why?"

"The island completely sinks at night, it says so on the crystal! Not even the tops of trees will be above water, so if you idiots want to live go find it already!"

They didn't get the importance of what he was saying, instead they noticed a certain person in the jungle nearby. It was that girl, the boss locked eyes with her and an evil grin took place on his face.

"I got an idea of the situation, now let's enjoy ourselves before we go."

It all happened too quickly, not even the guys standing around were quick enough to react. The boss got up and sprinted directly into the jungle like a tank. Smashing everything in his path he caught the girl before she could move, and dragged her back to the beach.

"You bastard! Let me go!"

"If you touch my wife you piece of crap I will hunt you down until the day I die!"

The guys all turned silent watching the spectacle, they had done similar but never before was it like this. Watching the boss defile another man's wife openly on the beach while the man began to go crazy swearing and muttering incomprehensible nonsense.

"You guys want a turn?"

"No, I will pass on this one."

"Nah, I already finished myself off for today."

The dorky guy's face was so twisted with hatred that it was near unrecognizable from the first time they saw it. His eyes were bloodshot, staring at the boss while his hands crawled forward in agony unable to stand on the broken legs, sheer raw spite kept pushing him. Eventually he reached his goal, it was a glass orb on the floor.

"You will pay for this…"

"Yea, yea whatever. Not like you can do crap."

Walking away the gang left the place, as the sun began to set people came over to help the two on the beach. It was like a nightmare, with one brutally beaten and another raped, only the people who ran away from it were left with a lingering guilt.

"Boss.. That guy was serious, he might try to kill you."

"Yea boss, you should have seen his face. He looked like a person from a demon movie."

"Bah, a loser like that? Who cares."

Dismissing their worries, he held in one hand a glass orb. Inside he saw the part the dork didn't mention, picking a god. For some reason the dork never said anything about it, either he wasn't aware or he was desperate enough to keep it hidden after being beat up. Both were good signs it was something valuable.

"You guys take the glass orbs on the beach right?"

Nodding their heads, they were worried about it selecting something random again. But with no pockets to put them in, and only the boss in metal armor they were helpless in the situation. After walking through the jungle they found their goal at last, a large stone slab as described, with a weird looking magic circle carved into the stone.

"Put the glass orbs in the spots, I am going to check something."

The guys went up to the stone slab and began trying to push the glass orbs into any random crevice, hoping to do as the instructions stated in the glass orbs. Meanwhile the boss was scrolling on the orb's list of gods, looking at the different gods and classes that go with them.

Each god offered a class that went along with it, and it had a warning stating when you pick your god your bound for life. Even the classes a god offered was limited, for instance some even had nothing but farming or wood working as the only options.

"Picking a war god gives classes used in war or any combat scenario, and a god of crafting or harvest gives a corresponding class…"

Muttering to himself he looked at the different gods available, some were not allowed. Saying he must meet a certain criteria to join the faith, while others even offered bonuses to join. Realizing the importance of picking the right things with this glass orb, he carefully tried to analyze it. After a few minutes of thinking he decided to go for the war god Ares, and get the knight class it offered.

"Boss, we got the glass orbs in the right places! Just one left!"

"Get it done already!"

Shouting back at them, he picked select on the god when suddenly the glass orb started freaking out. Like it was a computer crashing it started displaying a bunch of random stuff, as it somehow selected some love goddess instead that wasn't even listed as an option before. It wouldn't listen to his commands and was selecting his class even.

"What the hell?"

Before he could try to stop it a blinding white light exploded from the magic formation where the guys were. Looking down at the orb all he saw before the light consumed him was god selected, with class as well selected. However it wasn't something he wanted, and a confused expression was the only thing he could muster before the light engulfed the island.
