"Da fuq!?" I exclaim as I stare at the ginger cat.
Is... is this a flerken from marvel? This is definitely a flerken from the marvel universe. Wait a minute, It has a red collar with a name tag and a bell on it. It couldn't be, could it? I walk up to the cat without fear, as I know that the system programs them to be loyal to me. I pick her up by the scruff of her neck and take a peek at her collar. Yup, it says her name is Goose. I double-check it's private areas to make sure it's a girl as I thought. It is. I can't remember if the marvel movies ever specified Goose's gender. They probably did and I forgot.
As I stare at gooses privates, she just hangs there by the scruff of her neck staring at me. I feel like I may have violated Goose's privacy based on the look she's giving me. I just set her down and pat her head, hoping to forget the look Goose was giving me.
I don't know much about the flerken race from marvel, so I went to the system shop and looked through the marvel section. After a bit of searching through the shop, I found a book on flerkens. It wasn't too expensive, so I bought it and started reading up on my new pet.
The Flerken are alien creatures resembling Earth cats in appearance and behavior. They reproduce by laying up to 117 eggs and have a unique physiology with pocket dimensions inside their bodies. This allows them to swallow objects for protection and regurgitate them later on, even being capable of storing very powerful things. I mean that's pretty obvious since goose swallows the tesseract. Which contains one of the power stones, the space stone. In these pocket dimensions, a Flerken store's large tentacles that they can deploy at will from their mouths to attack enemies and help swallow large objects.
Powers and abilities:
Pocket Dimensions: The species are said to be able to store entire universes within their mouths, within which they can access and store a great many things to draw upon at will.
Tentacle Protrusion: Flerken possess a mess of tendrils kept within their mouths. They can use these for support and offensive tactics.
Nested Mouths: Sprouted tendrils host a nest of fanged and ravenous maws that can bite down on and gobble up just about anything.
Dimensional Travel: The sub-spaces within themselves can also be used as a means of instantaneous transportation; the process can be messy, to say the least.
Toxicity: A scratch from a Flerken causes severe tissue damage to humanoids, as Nick Fury found out when a claw swipe from Goose to his left eye resulted in scarring and permanent loss of function.
Human intellect: Able to understand cognitive conversation. Overwhelming cuteness
A flerken biggest weakness is that its powers are accessed through its oral cavity. If somehow muzzled, a Flerken is as helpless as an Earth cat. Now, that is one hell of a weakness.
I remember goose from the captain marvel movie. She is the one responsible for Nick Fury's need to wear an eyepatch. Although, I didn't know its claws carried such toxic properties.
"Now the question is, have you swallowed any blue glowing cubes recently, Goose?" I ask and hope that she has the tesseract in her stomach.
Goose just stares at me and nods her head. I can't tell if she just nodded at a coincidental moment, or if she understood me and replied. She may have human intelligence, but human at what age and degree of learning? I was hoping too much from an alien animal that can't communicate. If she does have it in her dimensional stomach, I'll just have to monitor her and hope she throws it up sooner or later. I'll just have a Souei clone stay in her shadow and watch for any regurgitations.
I wonder if the space stone would even work in this universe. It's said that the infinity stones only work in the universe they were created in. That is very worrying, as I could have a real infinity stone that's about as useful as a paperweight. We'll see what happens. There's no use worrying over something that goose may not even have to begin with.
Now that I know enough about Goose, I pick her up and put her on my lap. I pet her as I browse the marvel side of the shop. It seems that Goose came from the marvel cinematic universe and not an amalgamation of all marvel comics. Although the system only has things from the MCU, that doesn't mean that it doesn't have anything worthwhile. After going through the shop, this is everything that I found the most appealing.

Yeah, I don't think that I would be worthy, so I'll just save for the cheaper one. Also, having a fire attribute Mjolnir would be really cool. I may not become a god with the power of Thor, but I still get an overpowered hammer. I also saw Odin's spear, Gungnir. That thing was almost five times the price of the expensive Mjolnir. I'm not really much of a spear fighter, so I think I'll pass on buying it.

Infinity Stones are a bit too rich for my blood. Although It does say in the description that these stones would work in this universe. That's good to know because if I were to buy them later, I now know for sure that they will work.
Before I could continue perusing the MCU portion of the shop, Souei comes out of my shadow and interrupts me.
"Master, something is happening with Armad junior."
