Chapter 102: The Last Thing

Evan was quiet throughout the ride to the main building of Carson Group. Edward Carson's assistant was the one driving the car and he glanced at Evan through the front mirror once in a while.

At one point, the assistant was perplexed. Maybe because the calmness of the boy wasn't what he expected before he came to meet him. He thought that the boy would be asking him some questions but... all he asked him was who he was.

The ride took a little over an hour and even when they rode the elevator up to the top floor where the Chairman's office was located, Evan didn't say a word. Then Adrian Gould escorted him inside Edward Carson's office.

"Sir, Evan Livares is here."

Edward Carson who was sitting on a chair behind the desk darted his eyes to the door when he heard his assistant. The friendly smile on the Carson Group Chairman's face when he looked at him surprised Evan a bit.
