'Huh!? Why are there points six instead of two?' Liu Kai asked the system, still sitting on the ground and leaning against the tree in front of Jin Chow, but he got no reply. The points that have been added on his stats are more generous than before.

'Is it because my health is reduced to 20 percent, not 40 percent like before?'

'If that was true, then the more I always risk my life, the stronger I would get. If…. I always survive.' Liu Kai ruminated.

After a while, they built a campfire and used it to cook the meat they received from the giant wasp. They burnt it after putting it in the unclean sticks they found in the vicinity.

Liu Kai is still quiet, and Jin Chow didn't even attempt to bother him.

'Maybe he is reflecting on his actions earlier, so I better just let him think about it.' Jin Chow speculated after sitting in front of Liu Kai. The fire is in between them, and they're sitting on rocks they found.

The messages always pop out to notify him, and the voice on his head continues to speak up the news.

'When I am moving, this screen won't appear, and only the voice can be heard if there are messages. But if I am not moving, both the voice in my head and this screen informs me of what's going on.' He held his chin while thinking about it.

'Hmmm, maybe for me not to get distracted if I am fighting.' He tried to move his upper body side to side while still sitting to check if the hologram-like-screen will disappear.

Liu Kai saw his face and smiled awkwardly with his eyes closed and scratched his head.

'Oooops, it's better not to try this when there's someone else.' Liu Kai thought to himself.

'But why is the voice like this? It sounds like the voice of a woman.' Liu Kai asked himself inwardly, asking about the lovely voice he hears every time there's an important notification.

'The creator of this and the one who took care of me in that dungeon must be somehow connected if not the same.' He remained silent while carefully thinking about it.

They ate the wasp's remnant for the day, and Liu Kai ate more than usual.

It was part of his plan to absorb more points from the giant wasp's remnant, but he doesn't even need to force himself because there is an insatiable hunger he can feel that he doesn't understand.

'Woah, Is it because I ate more than I should? Or maybe because it's an A-Rated Bug? Or maybe both?' He grinned while checking his updated stats. He moved his head closer to the screen and forgot that there's a campfire beside it. The fire touched his nose and he leaned back right away.

"Hot! Hot! Hot!" He repeatedly said while touching his nose with both hands.

"Is this his first time seeing a campfire?" Jin Chow's eyebrows won't stop twitching while observing him.

An old man from behind one of the trees is observing Liu Kai and Jin Chow.

"Hohohoho, he adapted so fast, no wonder why my King chose him."

The old man giggled after talking to himself. He quickly vanished afterward.

"Errr… Brother Liu Kai, why did you agree to accompany me with my mission?" Jin Chow asked Liu Kai in front of him while burning the meat.

"Why the heck are you using honorifics on me?" Liu Kai answered him with another question.

"Ah...That..."

"...We fought side by side in a life or death situation, you know. I think you are someone that I can count on, and I can trust my life on you." Jin Chow answered in all honesty after carefully thinking about it.

"You're overstating it, Kai is fine." Liu Kai just shrugged off on Jin Chow's statement.

"Ehhh!? But you're older than me. Why are you not allowing me to use honorifics on you?" Jin Chow complained like a kid.

"I'm asleep for two years, you know. I still feel like I'm at my age before the accident. Besides, I think like that if not younger." Liu Kai explained.

"Okay, but answer my question."

"My country, Sheng Chan, is in the most eastern part of Xennog. If I am correct, that will be the last land you need to investigate. I'm not doing this to help you, you know." Liu Kai answered.

"Ahhh. Sheng Chan!? Brother Kai..."

Jin Chow held his breath for a moment.

"I don't want to crush your hope but while you were asleep-"

"Your meat is burned already!" Liu Kai raised his voice to cut him off.

"Ohh, sorry." Jin Chow realized that Liu Kai knew what he would say and decided not to say it since it looked like he already knew.

As Liu Kai first listened to his tale about the Great Catastrophe, he already understood that his country would suffer the most when other creatures arrive from the east. But Liu Kai still joined Jin Chow to search his own land.

Joining a knight on a mission is a great opportunity for him to discover the continent and his country. Well, he's not going to be cocky to go straight to the most eastern nation, Sheng Chan, without any plans and support from others when he just woke up.

Liu Kai has not yet decided how he will go there alive, but he's going to try. That's why he's realized he wants to get better.

"Is there a human that has a blessing before the Great Catastrophe happened?" Liu Kai asked Jin Chow to cut the silence.

"Nope never heard of that. Why?" Jin Chow answered nonchalantly.

"I know someone that has a blessing before I lose consciousness." Liu Kai answered calmly.

'Yeah, I'm sure now what happened that time.' Liu Kai thought to himself.

"Hahahahaha, that's a funny joke." Jin Chow laughed awkwardly.

"It's not a joke. It's true." Liu Kai answered him in all seriousness.

Jin Chow's eyes are wide open from his response, and can't figure out the meaning of Liu Kai's statement.

"Uhh... Errr… What do you mean?" Jin Chow asked after composing himself.

"Just like what I told you before. There's an old man who was supposed to get hit by a truck, and I pushed him to save him, but I was the one who got hit instead." Liu Kai said.

"Before that happened, I was sure that I passed by that same old man, but when I looked in front of me. He was already there smiling at me, not knowing that the truck was going to hit him."

"I believe he has a skill to change locations." Liu Kai completed his story.

Jin Chow is surprised by what he just heard.

'That can't be. If people have blessings already before the Great Catastrophe, then the casualty will surely be less.' Jin Chow thought to himself.

"There are no reports or news about it, not even gossips as far as I know." Jin Chow contradicted his statement.

"I see." Liu Kai replied.

"Then maybe that old man knew about what's going on since he's one of the first ones to have it, if not the first. I will find him." Liu Kai declared.

"Even if that's true, where are you going to find him?" Jin Chow asked Liu Kai.

"Sheng Chan! He should be there." Liu Kai confidently answered.

"What's your basis? How can you be so sure that he's in Sheng Chan?" Jin Chow curiously asked.

"Just a hunch." Liu Kai said nonchalantly.
