Chapter 3: Asking her out
" NO !" Eva tried to maintain her composedness . But it was the most difficult thing right at that moment when Ethan was standing in front of her with all his intimidating cold aura.
Ethan gritted his teeth , closed his eyes to calm himself. But anger was radiating from his body . He was not used to this disobedience of her.
" Eva come home with me . We 'll talk there only. " He said with an expressionless face.
" No Ethan . I won't go anywhere with you . Please sign these papers and let me free. Why stay in a loveless marriage ? This will be hard for both of us . "
Eva said; so many emotions took over her heart. It was not easy for her to let her love go. But maybe this would be good for both of them to let each other free .
Ethan was looking at her face . She was looking so fragile. Heartbroken and weak. Seeing her like this, a pain stung Ethan's heart.
Staring into her deep blue eyes Ethan said, " I 'll never let you go my wife. " He smirked, " I ' ll come again . Take a rest."
He smiled as he turned towards the door and left . Eva was standing there surprised to hear the last words of Ethan.
Earlier she thought he would easily agree to her demand of divorce. Maybe she did hit his male ego so hard that he refused to sign the divorce papers. She was still wondering what was going on in his mind.

Next day Ethan was standing at her door with her favourite flowers and chocolate. She pinched herself. ' Ouch' no she was not dreaming.
He actually was standing there in blood and flesh with her favourite flower and chocolate in his hand. Wow. Never in her wildest dreams she thought he would do something like that for her . And her favorite flowers and chocolate.
'How the hell did he know my favourites? ' She thought .
" Hello sweetheart .. How are you?" He smiled to see her.
" What are you doing here Ethan? " She asked annoyingly.
" I came to take you and Grayson home." Ethan replied calmly.
" We are not coming with you. Why don't you leave us alone ? " , Eva whispered the last part . But Ethan heard that.
Staring into her eyes Ethan said " I can't."
" Why are you making things difficult between us ?" she said. After thinking for a moment looking into his eyes as wanted to see through him she added, " What do you want Ethan? This is not you and I know you won't do anything that won't be beneficial for you. Such a good businessman you are. " She huffed , throwing her hands in the air.
" I want you to come with me. ....." he paused for a second ,".. ummm .... on dinner.? "
She was surprised to hear that. He never took her to dinner except for his official dinner parties. He never thought about taking her out. In these 8 years they never went on an official date or outings.
'Is he asking for a date! ' She thought unconsciously. But wiped that thought instantly because in a million years , cold hearted Ethan would never ask her for a date.
She laughed inwardly on her stupid thought. Maybe he wanted to discuss his terms and conditions. Thinking this she said , " I ... I 'll think about it ."
" Okay . ..... I 'll wait for your reply. " Saying this he stalked towards her ; reaching near her he gently stroked her cheek and slightly bent down to give a soft peck on her lips.
She froze in her place not expecting this act of affection from him.
"Take good care of yourself sweetheart ." With this , he left .
'What the hell just happened? ' she thought , blinking her eyes to clear her mind foggy due to his soft kiss.
'What game was he playing? 'She thought. But this time she would not fall for his any fake act. He had something in his mind. Only he knew what he was doing and for what he was doing that. He wasn't a slave of his heart . He wasa master of mind.
He always planned first then executed that to succeed. He only knew how to succeed and failure was not in his dictionary. This thought made her scared. She knew that she couldn't win against Ethan Tylor. 'Was he thinking of her as a competition ? '
How could a tiny personality like her could be a threat to him ? She shook her head with that thought. No. She couldn't afford to lose this time. She had to fight for her freedom and for her son.
She knew he couldn't bear defeat. But never thought that asking to sign some papers was this much challange for him.
She was scared with the thought that he was not going to give in without a fight. Neither was she. She had made up her mind.
She couldn't be weak this time.
She didn't want emotions to take over her mind. She stared at his retreating back and emotions that she wanted to bury in her heart , started to rise their head in her chest. For a second she wanted to call his name and make him stop.
For the first time in her life she had to fight against her love. She had to stand against him with full confidence. She couldn't afford to be weak and give up this time .
She summoned all strength in her and held up her chin. Her face brightened with confidence. She could act too. She would mask her emotions for him . No . She would kill and bury these emotions , not letting them make her life complicated.
It's going to be really difficult to suppress all the emotion and love for him , everytime he 'd come in front of her.
She sighed with this thought.....
