Chapter 1: Chapter 1 – Beginning
Walking down the street to the academy, Atsushi Ikari, a seemingly ordinary boy, was worried about his decision to enlist in the Imperial Demon Army, thinking that it would waste his time and effort. He doubts that it might endanger him. But, he had heard about another faction that is neutral on both sides, and that is the Red Scarlet Army. Then, while crossing the street, thoughts about joining the Red Scarlet Army echoed in his mind. No matter what he tried to clear it, it didn't work. Little did he know, he had arrived at the Second Shibuya High School, and his childhood friend, Yuichiro Hyakuya, was in front of him.
"What are you thinking about, Atsushi-kun?" he asked Atsushi seriously.
This causes Atsushi to snap out from his thinking and clearing, and he responds back, "Oh, morning, Yuichiro-kun. Sorry about that."
"Seriously," Yuichiro responded back in mild annoyance. "What's wrong with you? Anyhow, let's go to class."
"Right."
And they went to class.
This is Atsushi Ikari, a 16-year-old Japanese boy from Shibuya. But, the thing is that he was a reincarnation of someone who died in a previous life. And that someone is Luke Garcia of the Philippines, a 22-year-old college student. Apparently, he died during an earthquake that struck his hometown. Now being reincarnated, he knew that his parents died of the virus, and was supposed to be sent to the livestock for the vampires. Luckily, he was reincarnated to the time after Yuichiro's escape years ago, and now, he is living in Shibuya while relying on subsidies from the Imperial Demon Army. In terms of description, he has green hair and purple eyes.
But, even after passing the Army Selection Test, he had doubts about what he was doing. He thinks that it is a bad idea, but his rational self argues that it is the only way to survive, otherwise, he would be back on the streets, homeless and penniless. But then, his radical self thinks about switching sides to the Red Scarlet Army, but Atsushi decides to keep it in the back of his mind for now.
