Chapter 186: Developments

"Oh, so it's like this," Nicola replied. It seems that he had to reach the gold level a little faster to unlock these features of the system. He looked at his level, 39, it had been like this for some time.

There was only one level left for him to reach the maximum evolution of his bloodline and become complete, after that he would have to fight for himself and improve his skills manually, without the boost that the system guaranteed by strengthening the lineage.

The memory provided by Rhicina came with some data on the continent's cultivation levels. Altogether on the continent there were about twenty billion inhabitants, the cities were large and densely populated, tribes, forests and magical beasts also entered this account, after all they were also part of and were assisted by the system, reaching different levels of power. Of these people, only half would awaken the system and become bronze-level cultivators, only ten million would become silver-level cultivators, less than one million cultivators would reach the gold level in their lives and the diamond level only sixteen people reached such an achievement.

Nicola had security in entering the gold level, after all his lineages were of high level and he had already become a silver level power at a young age compared to his peers, level 39 before the hundred years of age. Cut off the hundred years, Nicola would still turn 32 years old.

Each level provided an increase in the cultivator's vitality and increased his life expectancy. At his current level, he could live for at least four centuries before his time ran out.

"Midori, how is mining and growing herbs?" Nicola called the green fairy, forcing himself out of his reverie. He had a lot to resolve to make this base a viable force. He himself had already contacted the city's buying markets and established a distribution line that would be sold to the other more powerful cities.

All of this could be arranged through the local mercenary guild. As a silver level cultivator he had certain perks and could use them. This would not only make him develop his profits through sales, but also strengthen his position in the Opus city.

"They are doing well, master, the first batch has already been mined and prepared for sale, as well as the magic herbs as well. What we lack are just products to be sold as well. Gin constantly produces pills that are being stored properly, while we only have the spare equipment from the warehouse to sell. "

"Start the sales process immediately." Nicola ordered, sales would be made through Kin and Gin who would take the items to be delivered to the mercenary guild within space rings. Of course Nicola always sent one of his beetles beside them to be aware of the process.

Nicola spent the rest of the time producing pills and tools, his furnace glowed with seven colors while he made several chemical processes happen at the same time, electrolysis, solutions, burning, coagulation, the seven elements rotated inside the cauldron reaching the different ingredients.

Nicola realized that with this he would achieve better results, by improving the process, from a set of herbs normally an alchemist could take two or three pills if successful. With the new processes Nicola would take four or five, all of them of excellent quality, which were soon bottled and separated by the AI.

He was not far behind in the forge either. Even though he had not yet developed his own technique, he hammered and twisted the hot metal on the anvil and then cooled it in a bucket of super cold water that was there next door. Nicola began to fuse his knowledge in his productions, even without being able to inscribe runes on his equipment, he had developed a technique of striking metal with lightning strikes that would form natural paths inside the weapon that the mana could follow, and soon afterwards densify and e makes them more efficient. The combined use of various elements was his own way forward, but it was not yet the technique he was looking for.

Quickly half a year passed, Nicola's base was still a new force among the others scattered in the forest but he did not give up because of that, the money raised from sales was in a constant flow, it was not as much as he could receive having the Six Rings Academy as his background, but it was something. Here he had to pay fees and services that did not exist before, that was the disadvantage of starting a new force.

During that time he trained his skills and developed some fighting techniques. Some threats around his new strength were slowly removed by him, small territorial beasts or large bands that had leaders at the silver level.

Further into the forest he would come in contact with magical beasts at the gold level but he was not prepared for that yet. There was even an occasion where his magic tower was attacked by a group of typhoon eagles led by a couple of silver-level eagles, they suffered some damage to the base for sure, but managed to stay upright. Thanks mainly to Tuatha who had coordinated the troops of the undead alongside Aka.

The tower suffered some losses, the fields were invaded and some plants were taken beyond the destruction of some arrays, but they managed to chase away the flock of eagles. Unfortunately Nicola was unable to kill both bosses as they worked very well in a team and could fly, with the affinity for the wind element they were incredibly fast enemies, the special squad of flying undead had a hard time shooting down some members of this group.

Even Tyris was involved in the battle, almost losing one of his snakes that formed her hair because of the sharp beaks of the eagles flying down in attack, but she was healed by Gin before the little snake died. Tyris did not have much battle technique other than trying to crush the birds with his tail and using his fists by throwing jets of sand at the opponent.
