Chapter 11: Elemental Affinity
"You didn't tell Lucca the whole truth about the succession war, why?" Sophie appeared next to him, leaning against a tree.
"And I don't intend to tell, at least not for now."
"But he's going to sell the right, don't you think he should at least know the truth?"
"As I said before, not now, my love."
"Whatever you prefer."
"I thought you would be upset that I told the story of your past."
"I'm not happy about it, but I understand why you did it."
James smiled, and the two headed towards the mansion.
Five days later,
At the entrance of Lucca's mansion,
"Lucca, I'm leaving!" William said as he mounted his horse.
"Where are you going, just out of curiosity?" Lucca asked.
"Some friends from the academy joined a guild, so I'm thinking of joining them and leveling up!"
"Okay, see you in 10 years, William. I hope that when I see you again, you've already reached Rank 2!"
William smiled and said, "See you in 10 years, Lucca. You can be sure that I'll keep my promise!" William began to ride out of the property.
A little while after William left Lucca's property, his mother asked, "You really don't want me to use my skill on William?"
"It's not necessary, Mom. I'm 100% sure he's loyal to me."
"If you say so, but I don't trust him."
"You don't need to worry, Mom."

They headed outside of the mansion and arrived near a forest.
As they arrived, Lucca's father was already waiting for them.
"Why did we come to the forest? And why is Dad already here?" Lucca asked.
"I came to see my son awaken his magic," James replied, but shortly after, his wife responded,
"Because this is where there's the highest concentration of mana nearby!"
"Dad said that I'm going to awaken my magic, how do I do that?"
(Host, in fact, when you received the system, your magic was already awakened, which is why you already have 1 magic point!)
Lucca remained silent and let things unfold until his mother took an orb from her storage ring.
"Is this a storage ring? And what's the orb for?" Lucca asked.
"That's right, and the orb is what will help you awaken the magic within you," Sophie replied.
'I need one of those rings. Otherwise, my secret won't be kept,' Lucca thought.
"What do I need to do?" He then asked the system, 'Since my magic has already been awakened, will this interfere with what should happen?'
(I still don't know; I need to see that orb.)
Sophie placed the orb on the ground and said, "Sit in front of the orb, place your hands on it, concentrate on your inner strength and your magic, when you start feeling it."
Lucca put his hands on the orb and asked, "Ori, do you think this will interfere?"
(It won't interfere, just do what your mother said.)
He took a deep breath and focused on his energy. After about 3 minutes, the orb showed no reaction.
"Focus!" his mother shouted when she saw her son losing concentration. Once Lucca regained his focus, the result was the same, no reaction.
"What do you think, Sophie?" James asked upon seeing the lack of a reaction from the orb.
"If my opinion is correct, he has no affinity with any element!"
"Does that mean he has no talent for magic?" James asked with a smile on his face.
"That's what I'm going to check!" Sophie approached Lucca.
Meanwhile, Lucca noticed that the orb still showed no reaction and asked, 'Ori, can you explain to me what happened?'
(This orb is meant to awaken someone else's magic.)
"Yes, I've already got that."
(Let me finish. Continuing, the orb awakens the magic and then reveals which element the person has the most affinity with.)
'So, does that mean I can't perform elemental magic?'
(Of course not; you saw in the system's store that there were various skills of different elements.)
'I'm not understanding.'
(Basically, you have the same level of affinity for all elements, which is why the orb didn't react.)
'So, does that mean I'm a prodigy?'
(Not exactly, you're being influenced by the system!)
When the conversation between the system and Lucca ended, his mother was already by his side, took his hand, and began to analyze his magic and mana.

After the analysis, his mother said, "Rest, Lucca, we're done for today. Tomorrow we'll start dealing with magic for real!"

Sophie approached James and said, "I'm sorry to say, but he's going to be a wizard!" She laughed.
As for James, he wasn't very happy with the news. Until that moment, he had been smiling, but still, he asked, "Does he have magic?"
"He does, but it's very weak. Nevertheless, it's enough to have an affinity with some element!"
"What does that mean?"
"It means he doesn't have a greater affinity with one element compared to the others!"
James was shocked to hear that and said, "So he has the same level of affinity for all elements? That's why the orb didn't react?"
"Exactly! The orb didn't react because there was no element that stood out!"
"Isn't that a bad thing?"
"It depends on how you view the situation. Do you prefer diversity or destructive power?"
"I prefer destructive power! Ahaha."
