Ye Xi is cheating...
It's been a month since Lin Ling received the anonymous text message, even before she received the message she has been suspicious of Ye Xi. He suddenly changed and been acting cold towards her and no often visits her yet despite of that Lin Ling put her suspensions behind her mind. She has no time for those since she's busy preparing all the staff for their wedding.
"Wanwan do you really think Ye Xi will cheat on me?" Lin Ling ask her cousin anxiously while biting her nails. Though she doesn't want to admit, it bothers her a lot.
"Stop biting your nails! Wait- had you asked Ye Xi about this?" Lin Wanwan asked her but Lin Ling just shook her head as an answer. "You better ask him then"
"I can't! He might think I don't trust him" Lin Ling reprimanded.
"Then you being suspicious to him means you trust him?" Wanwan said sarcastically and rolled her eyes thinking how stupid of her to reason out to her cousin about this topic.
Lin Ling didn't answer her cousin while pondering.
Ding Ding Ding~
The sound of door bell broke the silence inside the room. Lin Ling hurriedly open the door but no one is there. She look everywhere only to see a piece of envelop on the floor. She took it and look around for the last time to check.
"What's that Ling'er? Who's there?" Wanwan ask her as she walk towards her cousin and snatch the envelop on Lin Ling's hand and open it instantly.
"No one" Lin Ling replied then closed the door. "...What's inside the envelope?" she asked upon noticing the pale face and shock expression of Wanwan.
"Ah it's nothing" Wanwan answered her and hide the envelop behind her back. With this suspicious action of her, Lin Ling tried snatching the envelop. To her dismay Wanwan raised her hand and push Lin Ling slightly away.
It made Lin Ling more curious of what's inside the envelop "Stop being stingy Wanwan! give me that envelop!" She tried snatching it again but Wanwan did the same thing.
"There's nothing good to see inside. I'll throw this out...ahhhh!" Wanwan run towards the door but before she could throw the envelop, Lin Ling grab her shirt with force that caused her to fell on the ground. The envelop and the pictures inside scatters around the ground. Lin Ling instantly picked the pictures on the ground one by one. Looking at the pictures with a heavy heart it made her shiver.
Like lightning strikes her the pictures showed Ye Xi with another woman. His new woman. One of it shows they're eating in a restaurant, another one of it shows Ye Xi put on his coat on her, another one is hugging and the worst one shows they're kissing.
This can't be true.
This can't be true.
This can't be...
She keeps on telling this to herself while tears streaming down her eyes.
Feeling aggrieved towards her cousin, Wanwan went to comfort her but still she's crying nonstop and it made her more worried.
What a bastard to make her cousin cry.
"Ling'er please stop crying...don't stress yourself with this it's not good for your health" when Lin Ling heard what her cousin said she cry louder than before.
Wanwan sighs. "Shhh. . . Ling'er what if this is just a misunderstanding? Maybe you need to ask Ye Xi himself first before jumping into conclusion."
"C-conclusion?...aren't these pictures enough?...No.. it's not a mere conclusion but a fact Wanwan!" Lin Ling look at her while subbing and shouted angrily.
"Didn't you say you trust him? Why not give him a chance to explain?" suddenly silence overtook the atmosphere inside.
"Alright" after a few seconds of silence Lin Ling stood up then wiped her tears. "T-this... this is just a misunderstanding" after hearing what she said Wanwan sight in relief
"Let's go"
"Huh?" Wanwan ask in confused look "...Go where?"
"To the company" after hearing what she said Wanwan didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"It's already late can't you just wait till tomorrow?" Wanwan helplessly plead but Lin Ling seems not to hear what she said and made her way to the company.
At Ye Group Company
"Good Evening Miss Lin, how may I help you?" When they reach the company Lin Ling went straight to the front desk to ask "Is Ye Xi still here?"
"Yes Miss Lin" the receptionist answered politely. "Let me lead you the way"
"Thanks but I can manage" Lin Ling went to the elevator while Wanwan followed her.
Wanwan noticed the crippled envelop in her Lin Ling's hand. Worriedly she pose an idea "Let's just go home Ling'er don't let your anger swallow you, it won't lead you any good. This might be not a good idea."
Lin Ling look at her angrily "Whose idea is this then to start with? If I don't settle this now I might not be able to sleep. This might stress me out and it's more" she the the last words helplessly.
Thinking the possibility of this, how is she gonna' face the world after drowning?Was Ye Xi's promises just a hoax to star with?
Everything's already set, their future plans together, even their marriage is upcoming. How come her reality turns into fantasy all of a sudden.
She happily plan everything together with her parents to make her wedding unforgettable yet it will be put to waste. What a tragic.
I really hope this isn't true.
Ting*
As soon as the elevator opened Lin Ling walk towards Ye Xi's office hurriedly. Noticing from afar the secretary is no longer in her desk outside of Us Xi's office, she need not to enquire and went for the door.
Lin Ling stepped back upon opening the door. The scene inside shatters her last hope.
A woman is kissing Ye Xi, their kissing. Ye Xi's back is facing her while the woman's leans on the table facing her. It's the same woman on the pictures in here hands.
She wanted to scream. She wanted to kill them both. She wanted to cry yet her tears didn't cooperate with her this time. Her anger reach it's limit, but she won't step low for these cheating bastards.
She left the room silently. A Loser. A Coward. That's the exact words to describe her retreating action.
She wanted to go back and confront Ye Xi but her ego won't let her. She trusted him, but this only shows her thrust for him was wasted. Reality strucked her.
"Ling'er..." Wanwan felt so sorry towards her cousin. She don't deserve this.
"I'm fine, let's go" they walk towards the elevator hurriedly. Upon the closing of the elevator a voice rang out the hallway.
"Ling'er!" the man in disheveled suite run towards the Elevator. Pressing simultaneously the button with worried expression he shouted "No...no! open up!"
"Ye Xi~" an enticing voice call his name.
The man gritted his teeth "Scram!" while looking darkly at the alluring woman in front of him. like a peasant in his eyes, despite how enticing the woman in front is.
Ye Xi decided to take the stairs hoping to catch up with Lin Ling despite the low possibility.
"Ye Xi don't follow her" RouXin hug him from the back to stop Ye Xi from following his fiance.
To her surprise he flung her "You won't get a way with this!" and left her with a threat.
Lin Ling's started packing her stuff upon reaching her apartment.
"What are you doing Ling'er?"
"Packing, can't you see?"
"No! If your planning to run away, I'm telling you it's not a good idea!" Wanwan unpacked the luggage.
Lin Ling slumps on the floor "What am I suppose to do then? Act as if none of these happened, then marry him?" Tears started to flow as she said those words "Why...why does it have to be me? Why can't I at least be happy? Why did he have to do this? Why?" She covered her face while crying to her hearts content.
"Shhh! It's not your fault stop crying Ling'er" Wanwan pated her cousin till she stopped crying. "Hurry up packing, he'll catch up soon..." She paused "...won't you try hearing his side? At least for the sake of your reationship?"
"He doesn't deserve it!" And she continue packing her stuff "...I'll leave then cover up for me. Don't tell Mom and Dad about what happened. Tell that cheater I won't marry him!"
"I'll go with you, you can't travel alone in this situation" even if Wanwan oppose to Lin Ling's plan she knew at this moment no one can stop her cousin. Despite the fact that somethings amiss It'll be better if she tag along to ensure her cousin's safety.
"No, it's better for you to stay here. Look after my family while I'm overseas." Wanwan just nod repeatedly. "I'll get going then"
"Take care Ling'er"
