Chapter 2: Chapter Two:
The sun was setting, the reds and yellows blended beautifully on the western side of the city. A single dark blue Cadillac Escalade drove by passing several buildings before pulling up to a single building that was fenced off. The male that was driving the vehicle turned toward his female passenger and asked with a haughty tone,
"Is this where you needed to be dropped off, lady?"
The woman glanced at him from under her large hoodie before she replied with a bland tone," No, at the next stop sign, take a right."
The driver rolled his eyes as continued down the road, taking the right as he was instructed before pulling into a small plaza nearby. The driver then turned to the woman with a growl as he spoke out,
"This is your stop. Now pay up."
The woman glanced at him once more before she spoke softly," Of course. Allow me to grab my money."
The male scoffed as his attention was soon diverted to his phone which vibrated in his pants pocket. Fishing it out, he quickly pulled up his text messages and saw that it was a message from an acquaintance.
Is the deal still on, Ricky?
Ricky glanced over at the woman before quickly returning his attention to his phone after realizing that the woman was still shifting though what he assumed to be her purse.
Yeah the deal is still on. Once this bimbo pays me, I'll be on my way with the goods.
He replied back with his text. He turned once more to speak to the woman once again only to be hit by something in the back of the neck. His body seized up, twitching in his seat, he suddenly a white cloth covering his mouth and nose forcing him to inhale whatever was on the cloth. Slowly, his consciousness began to fade to black, however, before he completely lost consciousness he heard the woman speak,
"He, who is greedy, is always in want. Now your sins shall open the way-"
Ricky didn't know how long he had been unconscious for, but when he slowly began to wake he realized he was no longer in his car. As he tried to move he realized he was unable to move, his eyes quickly looked up at his hands and realized that they were tied down. His eyes then went down to look at his feet and realized that they too were tied down. Ricky then realized that there was tape upon his mouth when he tried to scream to help. As he scanned the room, he could barely make out that he was in an abandoned building. He could see the faint outlines of graffiti throughout the room. He froze when he heard the sound of someone humming nursery rhymes.
Ricky heard the door to the room suddenly slam open and his eyes slammed shut when the light above his body suddenly came on. It was then he realized that he was in a surgical room of what appeared to be an abandoned hospital. The paint was peeling off the walls, water seemed to be seeping into the room from small leaks in the ceiling. It was then he noticed the outline of a person within the doorway. He watched as the figure came more into the room and began to circle around where he lay almost like he was the prey to the predator that was circling him. He could hear the figure speaking, but he couldn't make out what they were saying.
Suddenly, the figure stopped to the left of him and before turning to face him and entered the light. When his eyes landed upon the figurel, fear filled him as he began to thrash around and let out a muffled scream.
"Your sin… Will make it powerful."
