Chapter 2: Unfaithful. So Unfaithful
Hayami was speechless.
She looked at her reflection in disbelief.
Even though she had previously seen the current body's (face) reflection, she was really shocked to see it again.
Red round eyes as dark as blood, slightly curled raven waist length hair, long eyelashes, Snow like skin, small but cute button nose, pink and small kissable lips.
The body was a blooming beauty with undeniable attractive features. The vivid mole under the right eye made her look even more adorable and cute. One could easily guess that the girl was gonna become a nation calamity beauty.
"Hell! Who is this?!", Hayami angrily roar.
As far as she was knew, she had short brown hair (which she coloured it to red), black eyes, tan skin, cracked black lips and a mole at the tip of her nose.
She was no beauty!!!
Hayami climbed on the bed and covered her whole body with the quilt. She needed time to sort things out.
One, she died.
Two, she entered into a beauty's body!
Musing over her situations, she understood that she died and transmigrated into some kind of bloody world, where non-human beings and magic exist.
As far as she understood, the new body is called by the name Lady Rose (not princess), and her personal maid name is M10 (which was a ridiculous name).
And by the way the maids and servants look at this lady Rose, it seems to contain annoyance, disdain, ridicule and contempt.
In short, this Lady Rose is a pitiful abandoned lady who isn't respected nor loved by others.
Hayami never thought nor expected this kind of situations.
Anyway, she had no idea how to go back to her world. She didn't even know whether her lifeless body was safe or not.
What if it was burn into ashes or buried under the soils? Or even turned into a block of ice for safekeeping?
Thinking of the possibilities, she wanted to cry. Is the creator punishing her for all the bad deeds she did? But she didn't do any bad (very bad) things.
Let's see, At:
Age 5: She smashed the class bully's head using his lunch box. Followed by breaking the principal's desk with an iron bar.
Age 7: Running away from her home. Stealing the woman's money for buying a puppy (which died after she mistakenly gave poison as food).
Age 10: punching the principal son's face for cheating her with another girl.
Age 12: Skipping classes for smoking upon the school rooftop. Cross dressing as man and harassing her neighbour's kid (he was annoying). Joining the street thugs.
Age 15: broke her second boyfriend's leg for cheating her, broke his girlfriend's hand for slapping her (and a month in jail).
Age 17: Escaping from the dormitory for watching movies with her gang, smoking and buying beer. Accidentally (intentionally) crashing a police officer's car.
Age 18: Went into a bar and had a one night stand. Later broke the man's mouth for speaking rubbish words.
Age 19 (before she died): broke her third boyfriend's leg for cheating her. Shaving his girlfriend's hair for annoying her. Escaping the dormitory for buying beer (and died).
Hayami rolled her eyes. She accepted that she did a lot of bad things but it didn't reach to the point of murdering or kidnapping someone. So she can still be considered as a good girl.
'What a pain', she thought to herself. In her 19 years of life, she experienced all kinds of things which a young girl shouldn't.
Her biological parents abuse her after they came from their works. Karma was sure a bitch. Before she turned 3, they died in a car accident (which was a relief).
The neighbour, mrs.Yuki was an old woman with a gentle face, but once she opened her mouth, then all the mosquitoes (vulgar words) would come out of it.
She was then kidnapped by an unknown man and sent to another country. After she got saved by the police, they directly sent her to an orphanage.
Then she was adopted by a man, who was a widow with no child. He treated her well, only if she allowed him to touch her body.
Later broke his head and went to the orphanage (again). Adopted by an old couple who didn't have kid.
Turn out, the man was having an affair with his wife's best friend and the woman an affair with her husband's close friend.
How did she know? Who asked them to do the nasty (you know, that) things in the home.
Requested the couple to sent her to the hostel (which they beautifully agreed).
At school, her classmates and seniors bullied her since she's ugly. The hostel girls used her as their slave.
Carrying stuffs, cleaning the classroom, copying homework, buying lunch, cleaning the toilet, dusting the rooms, wiping the floor, washing clothes and all the heavy stuffs were done by her.
This kept on going until she reached 12. She accidentally came across few street thugs when she went for buying cigarettes.
They tried to harrassed her, but she broke their heads. She only stopped after ordering them to make her as their leader.
So what did they do, they obeyed.
From the thugs, she learnt how to fight, kill, drive race cars, harrassed people and how to pay an eye for an eye.
Her life wasn't pleasant as everyone. It didn't have candies, unicorns and rainbows like other girls.
Instead, her life was full of pain and sufferings.
Sometimes, she even decided to suicide, but when she thought about the things left behind, she didn't have the courage to do it.
So what she did, she accepted life as it is. Bullies, break their bones. Annoying pest, eliminate them. Unfaithful people, let them know the consequences of cheating.
That's how she lived and would live.
Hayami let out an exhausted sigh. Her life is seriously f*cked up.
"My lady..", M10's voice snapped Hayami out of her thoughts. Letting out an inaudible groan, Hayami sat on the bed, "yes?".
"Prince Alex has requested your audience", M10 lowered her head and said in a respected tone. Hayami rolled her eyes and got down from the bed, 'another annoying guy'.
Just as she expected, the maid led her hall to hall, passed numerous portrait's of men and woman, expensive-looking crafts and still, they haven't reached their destination.
If Hayami was allowed to exaggerate, then they were probably walking for hours. But after seeing the sun not even changing it's position, they were probably walking for 15-20 minutes (which was tooo long).
Eventually, the miad stopped in front of a ridiculously extravagant door. The maid opened the door and stepped aside, allowing her lady to enter in first.
Hayami looked around a bit as she stepped in, taking note of the expensive furnitures, the glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling and the unknown guy, who was sitting on one of the chair with the word 'handsome' written on his face.
"Rosette, what a wonderful timing. I was just requesting the butler to bring your favourite tea. Come and have a seat", the 13 year old boy, who had golden locks of hairs and oceanic blue eyes stood up and gestured Hayami to sit beside it.
Hayami inwardly sneered in disgust. 'This man would even get an Oscar award', she clearly saw the flash of annoyance and greed on his face. Nevertheless, she innocently smiled and sat beside him.
The boy smiled sweetly and pass her a cup of red (is that blood?) tea. Hayami twirled the cup and looked at it. After confirming that there was no odour of blood, she took a sip. She couldn't believe these non-human beings drinking normal type of tea, and she haven't seen tea in red colour. Well, she heard of green tea but not red tea. She was surprised that the red tea taste like red wine, which was weird (but she liked it).
"Is it good?", the boy asked. He was surprised that the girl didn't dislike the tea, rather enjoyed it. It was unusual for humans to like blood, nevertheless, the girl was a half vampire, so he understood her change of taste.
Hayami licked her lips and nodded, "not bad". It was really delicious. She would like to know how to make this red tea, it was really good, much more better than those green and black tea.
The boy smiled and held Hayami's hand. He let out a heavy sigh, as if he was gonna say a bad news, "Rosette, please don't take this in the wrong way. I really like you, but..." he hesitated to say the full sentence.
Hayami raised the coner of her brows in interest. She decided to go along. Afterall, she also wanted to know the boy's reason for visiting this lady Rose. She smiled and patted the boy's hand, "What is troubling you my prince?". She instantly dislike the boy's skin. It was rough and dry, unlike this lady Rose's smooth and soft skin.
Seeing the boy scrunching his nose and smiling sweetly, she wanted to punch him so much. If not for his identity as prince, then she would have punch him right here. The boy rubbed his face and let out a heavy sigh. He looked at the beautiful small girl and suddenly enveloped her in a tight hug, "Rosette, please forgive this prince".
His voice was so sweet yet so sad, which would immediately bring distress to anyone who heard him, but Hayami was currently thinking whether to break the boy's hands or head. She patted the boy's back and asked in a suppressed annoyed tone, "what is wrong my prince? Please tell me". 'Instead of his hands, I should break his bones'.
The boy pulled away and said in a grave tone, "Please forget this prince. This prince can't return your love". He looked into the girl's eyes and smiled sadly, but it immediately stiffened.
Instead of the innocent clear eyes, the girl in front of him was staring at him like he was some annoying pest, waiting for him to disappear.
'I see', Hayami coldly smirked. She now understood the situation. It seems like this lady Rose love this prince named Alex, who in return, hates her.
But, was she lady Rose? Heh.... She wasn't.
She lowered her head, hiding her darkening eyes and let out a low chuckle, 'annoying pest'. The boy was frightened for a second. He clearly felt an aura of bad omen from the girl, but it quickly disappeared as it came.
When he expected the girl to cry and begged him to not leave her, the girl simply stood up and looked at him. Seeing her harmless yet cold smile, he shivered with an unpleasant feeling. The girl looked as usual, but something was not right.
Hayami looked at the boy's butler, who was standing beside the door and smiled sweetly, "Can you leave us a minute alone?". Even thought she was smiling, it was so scary that the man shuddered in fear.
He glanced at his master, who stiffly nodded in response. He lowered his head and hurriedly walked out of the room, closing the door after he stepped out.
Hayami leisurely sat on her seat and took the cup. She ignore the boy as she poured herself a cup of tea. Twirling the spoon for few seconds, she asked in a soft and calm tone, "my prince, do you like someone else?". Boys are really fickle when compared to girls.
As expected, the boy stiffened for a moment. A sly smirked made its way on Hayami's lips, 'unfaithful'.
"Rubbish!", The boy stood up and angrily shouted. He sounded so angry, but Hayami immediately saw the panic in his eyes. She let out a mocking laugh, 'Unfaithful. So unfaithful'.
She looked at the boy's enraged eyes and sneered in disgust. The boy shuddered when he came contact into her cold glance. The girl seems to be different than before. Even her mere glance frightened him .
Holding back his doubts, he kneel in front of Hayami and held her hand, "What is my lady asking? You know that I only love you. How can you grow such thoughts about your prince?".
His sincere and hurt tone would even fool an Oscar actor, but Hayami merely tsk in annoyance.
She pulled her hand away from his grasp. Seeing the boy's sad face, she smiled and nodded, "I was merely taking a guess. Please sit down." Even though this boy was annoying, she can't act rashly. Afterall, she didn't complete know her current identity and status.
Seeing the girl leisurely sipping her tea, the boy sighed out in relief. He was really frightened for a moment. Her expression scared him so much that he shivered in fear. He stood up and dusted his pants.
"This prince have an important work to attend, I'll come visit you next week", he said and walked toward the door. He didn't want to stay with the girl, she was scary.
Just as he held the knob of the door, he heard the girl's warning, "My prince, be careful of what you do, cause God's watching your every moves".
Hearing the melodious giggles, he gulped his saliva and walked out. Her melodious giggles only gave him goosebumps. He should try to amend his mistake by sending something as usual.
After few minutes, M10 came into the previous room and handed a rose to her lady, "My lady, Prince Alex apologised for leaving earlier than usual."
Hayami wanted to laugh in amusement. The unfaithful boy was still trying to fool her that he only love her. She took the rose and chuckled sinisterly.
She gestured her maid to bring the hot red tea pot. M10 held the tea pot for pouring tea, but her lady gestured to put the pot in front of her. Confused, she placed the pot in front of her lady as she commanded.
Hayami took off the lid, causing the hot steamy vapour in the pot to emerged out of it. When she smelt the light odour of blood, she licked her lips. In the end, her doubts turn out to be real. The red tea was real blood. But, she didn't care. It was tasty and intoxicating, giving her a sense of hunger.
She quietly plucked the red rose petals and put it inside the steamy pot, greatly startling the maid beside her.
"Do you know what happens to people who are unfaithful?", Hayami chuckled and asked while plucking the petals of the rose and putting them in the hot pot. Seeing the red petals floating above the red liquid, a sense of curiosity rose in her heart.
M10 was puzzled by the sudden question asked by her lady. She lowered her head and said truthfully, "this servant doesn't know". She really doesn't. Even though there were many types of punishment in the kingdom, she doesn't know a lot of them. She only knew that all the murderers would be executed, while the thieves were asked to cut off their hands.
Hayami paused in her movements. Grinning mischievously, she said in a low and soft voice, "It's good that you don't".
'Cause you might not be able to stand the way of my cruelty'.
