Chapter 2: 2. Shadow
Ten years later,
Shadow closed her eyes. The words someone said 10 years ago are still stuck in her mind even now.
If you think that I killed your parents, you're wrong. I didn't do it, "
"Y-you're wrong if you think that I killed your father and mother. "I didn't do it," said a man with a frightened face.
Did she make a mistake when investigating her family's death?
She has her back on someone, her hair flowing down to her waist. While shaking her wine glass slowly, her eyes stared out at the towering buildings and the pedestrians below, sipping her wine every now and then, looking seductive.
The floating moonlight illuminates the room on the 25th floor of the company Lex Group. Only a small part of the room was exposed to light.
A bottle of wine can be seen on the table. A man was sitting behind it. The person was unconscious with his head leaning on the table. Dead. The man had died an hour ago because of Shadow's actions.
Things were scattered on the floor. On the table, there was nothing else except for a bottle of wine and a glass of wine.
"Huft.." she sighed, her hand still shaking the wine glass. She mumbled, "How tiring," and took a sip of the wine.
Shadow sensed movement. She went to the table and placed the glass, making a small sound on the table.
"Today's been so tiring for me. I just finished killing a swarm of annoying flies before I came, and it made me exhausted."
She took her phone from her jacket pocket.
Mission success, done. "
The message was sent using a code.
Two hours earlier,
A man with staggering footsteps was walking in the corridor with a dim light to show him the path. He opened the door by pressing a few numbers. He felt quite hot because he was drunk, making him stretch his tie. As he came into the room, he threw his coat carelessly.
He stopped when he saw something unusual in his room. Even though he was drunk, he knew that someone was in the room.
"Who are you?" He asked when he saw someone sitting in the dark.
He looked very surprised and frightened. also filled with anxiety. His hand reached out for something. A weapon He took a gun that had been hidden close to the door. Since no one could open the door of the room without the access code, when someone managed to, he obviously felt surprised.
"Who are you?" He asked again and got no answer. There was only movement from the person in front of him. "Don't move, or I won't hesitate to pull the trigger,"
His hands were shaking with fear, and even the weapon he was holding looked like it was trembling.
"Answer me, who are you? H-how did you get into my room?" He asked.
"Hehehe... Are you sure that you can kill me with that weapon? " The voice asked, and as he prepared to pull the trigger, it made the person applaud him.
"What are you going to do with a gun without any bullets?"
Do not lie. This gun has bullets, "he refuted.
Try pulling the trigger if you don't believe me. I'm not lying, " challenged the voice, making him pull the trigger.
Sure enough, when the man pulled the trigger, no screaming was heard.
I didn't lie, right?"
"W-who are you?" The man stammered. There was fear in his tone.
"You even forgot that you gave me the access code?"

The lights turned on, showing a person standing with a wine glass in his hand.
You're that delivery man? Are you Shadow?"
The girl sat back down and put her right leg on top of the left and nodded her head, confirming what the person just said.
"So this is what your face looks like?"
"No, this isn't my face, it's just a mask. I obviously won't reveal my identity and won't cover my real face. Am I right? "
She stood up.
How about a drink first? "You have a lot of expensive wine," said the girl. Seeing no response from the man in front of her made her a little sad. "Looks like the young master doesn't want to drink with me,"
The man looked uneasy. It was as if something had made him that way.

The man demanded something forcefully from the girl.
Do not rush. As long as there's money, the item will be yours.
Hearing what Shadow said, the man rushed over to a bookshelf, moved a book, and pressed a password. It didn't take long until a big secret room was unveiled. The person took a suitcase full of money, making Shadow smile.
The girl said, "I like doing business with you," as she took out a small square box, about the size of a glasses case.
I'll give you a bonus after this. You will love this bonus. Just one injection will calm you down. "
The man quickly took the item Shadow held, then injected it into his arm. Drugs. The man was new to using drugs. She smiled, seeing the person in front of her enjoying the thrill of using drugs.
Shadow took a bottle and a syringe from her shirt pocket and filled the syringe with some liquid. She steps behind the man sitting on the chair. Her hand grabbed his head.
"This is the free injection I promised you," she said, injecting it through the scalp of a man who was enjoying the drugs.
"Tonight is the last night that you can have fun," Shadow whispered.
Just a few seconds after she injected the drug, the victim suddenly had a seizure as he gripped his chest tightly. His face was red and full of pain. His heart seemed to be squeezed so hard that it made the veins in his body appear. He struggled and made the files on the table scatter on the floor.
"Aargh... Ugh-what medicine did you give me, you damned woman?" The man screamed, holding his left chest. A thirsty feeling in his throat made him drink the wine in the bottle all at once.
"Hmm... only 5 milliliters of liquid will give you cardiac arrest.
The man continued to wince in pain. His heart ached so badly. "Y-you,"
The drug that was injected into him was a drug that would make the heart stop. Medically, no one would suspect anyone if you used this method of killing. It was injected into the scalp, and no one would know that he had been murdered.
Shadow stepped closer to the storage room, where the man took the money that was given to her and pressed the password, making the door open once again. Three shelves can be seen inside, showing so many priceless things. And in front of her stood a short shelf and an expensive painting.
Shadow took down the painting. Revealing a safe
"Found it."
Her finger pressed a few more numbers and the safe opened.
The girl immediately took a document, closed the safe, and exited the storage room.
The room was in such a chaotic state. Especially with items scattered everywhere, Shadow looked at the man she killed for a few moments.
After taking the file, she chose to rest for a while, enjoying the most expensive wine on the rack.
She never stopped committing crimes to earn money. From killing, delivering goods, and even being a bodyguard, she has gotten so much money. No one knows her real face.
Shadow: No one knows who she is. Her gender and even her face. But she is only a young girl who lives alone. To complete her mission, she sometimes has to become a woman, a man, an elderly person, or even a schoolgirl.
She is just like a shadow and hasn't even ever failed on any mission given.
After she finished enjoying the wine, she sent a message to tell them that the mission had been completed and left the room, leaving the dead man there. Taking her prize, a case of money, and a few diamonds
