'Damn...I lost...' Shen San was kinda speechless as this was his first loss, he lost his chance in being number one, he felt like all his hard work has just been wasted as his goal was number one so that he can make his grandfather and father proud of him, to tell them that their efforts weren't in vain, that they can place their future on him.
"You fought good Shen San. You are the first one to actually make me want to fight, I would have lost if I didn't focus. You have my respect. Now come here man, shake my hand." Said Shen Yue as he raised his hand ready to shake.
"I'm sorry but I hate the fact that I lost to you. I wanted to be the winner of the tournament so that I can bring honour to my family." said a depressed Shen San as he looked down.
"Do not feel depressed. You are still young and there is plenty of time for you to bring honour to your family. For example reaching a level of strength that not even your ancestors have ever dreamed of possible is possible." said Shen Yue as he whispered in Shen San's ear,' there are levels beyond legend rank'.
When Shen San heard this, he was shocked and excited as he felt as if he had just discovered a mystery or a conspiracy. If what Shen Yue said was true, then if he works hard then he could one day just one day reach a level of a god. Shen San felt more enlightened as this made him realise something, Murim has no end, for every big fish there is a bigger fish.
"Thank you brother Shen Yue, I feel more enlightened, you have given me hope." as Shen San said that he shook Shen Yue's hand with a firm grip.
As both of them walked away, Shen Yue was laughing inside his mind,'Soon enough! I'll amass an army of geniuses and one day the world will be for the taking!Muahahaha! Wait - I kinda sound like my dick of a dad Shen Hong. I guess it is true, like father like son!'
Shen Yue went back to his royal vip room where he had more plum juice ready for him.
Some of you must be wondering, why didn't Shen Yue during his fight with Shen San not just eat the fire that was thrown at him and strengthen his flame? Well that is because Shen Yue wanted to hide this ability and maintain a low profile as the higher-ups of the dark guild will definitely be watching this tournament, Shen Yue doesn't want to be one the radar of a heavenly fate realm practitioner, the demon lord. Having him on his tail would be annoying as he wouldn't be able to accomplish his first goal, taking over the dark guild.
Shen Yue's first goal in this life is to take over the dark guild, Shen Yue wants to have enjoyment turning this tiny little pathetic group of bandits into an empire of savages, also having an empire and a gang of geniuses behind his back would mean that most people wouldn't want to mess with him, he'd be like a king and glory city could be grasped without even using a pinky.
Shen Fei won his battle although the person he battled was able to make Shen Fei use more effort with dealing with him. Shen Xiu also won her match, she had to put effort into it though, she had to merge with her spirit just to win.
"Shen Xiu! Shen Yue! Can both participants come to the stage!" shouted out the referee like he usually does, his voice box and throat are really tough to be able to handle shouting all day.
"Little Aunt! It's good to see you again, it seems like your training is paying off, to reach up to this stage, the sister of the patriarch is really impressive." smiled Shen Yue as he got himself combat ready
"Don't call me little, I'm older than you, way older, calling me little is not very nice to say to your auntie, now come on, you either submit or you get crushed by me! What's it gonna be?" said a cocky Shen Xiu as she had a smile of confidence, she didn't see the battles Shen Yue has won as she would be in her little royal vip room fixing her makeup and planning to say lines that make her look badass.
"What was that? Did you say something? I couldn't hear you because the sound of you losing was louder than your mouth." said Shen Yue cockily purposefully making his auntie angry.
Shen Xiu was angry, she was like 'omawe mo shinderiu' or simply 'bastard...!", she was fuming and her face turned red like a tomato from anger.
"Begin!" shouted the referee as he swung his hand down.
Shen Xiu started sending a hurricane of kicks and fists although mainly kicks, her kicks looked powerful and strong just like a certain blonde chef in a pirate crew. Then after a few seconds of using normal attacks she merged with her demon spirit, her red hair turned slightly orange, her eyes looked feline, she had redish orange cat ears on her head and a redish orange cat tail that had a flame at the tip; she started sending fiery kicks with her mighty legs.
A question popped up in Shen Yue's head,' how are they able to integrate with a demon spirit if they are not even silver rank? Do they have some law defying secret technique that lets them integrate before they reach silver rank?', as he has spent an entire year in this world there were many things that were not the same as the novel and even contradicted some of the information, this only makes things more interesting for Shen Yue.
"My demon spirit is torch cat, it's a silver rank demon spirit and its tail has a flame that can burn a tree in an instant so be careful." warned Shen Xiu as she used those dangerous flames to attack Shen Yue.
Why don't the elders and officials intervene if such dangerous techniques are being used, kids hurting one another. This is a fight to test body, mind and soul, the kids should learn how to not be reliant on the elders otherwise they are screwed.
Shen Yue easily managed to dodge Shen Xiu's attacks, even most of Shen San's, when he was training with Master Kang, he would train his dodging and reaction time. Master Kang was able to with his fist generate a shockwave that pierced through a mountain like butter, Master Kang during their sparring sessions would sometimes use this to test and refine Shen Yue's reaction time as his attacks are the speed of sound. For a person to dodge sound would be like a person braking one of their human limits, which Shen Yue was forced to do, he forced his body otherwise he would die.
"It's over for him. Go Shen Xiu! You can beat him!" shouted a person in the crowd. Most people were cheering for Shen Xiu and some even cheered for Shen Yue as they have seen his behaviour and took liking to him.
Shen Xiu punched out her two hands that had sharp fire claws towards Shen Yue's face who looked as if he was distracted. Before her claws could reach him, he grabbed on Shen Xiu's wrists and then dropped kicked her in the guts.
oof!
He then grabbed Shen Xiu by the legs and threw her out of the ring like a rag doll.
Bang!
She fell flat on her back against rock pavement, it looked painful as even her head bounced up and down on rock, some guys were ticked off as a pretty girl got hurt but they got subdued by Shen Yue fans.
"Shen Yue wins!" shouted the referee.
"Yeah!" Shen Yue fans cheered.
"You lost because you were too cocky, that was your weakness, you gave me a chance to exploit that weakness. When you dropped your guard that was when I could land the strike and take you down. You are just like everybody else, all bark no bite, remember to never let your guard down! That is the most important thing in a fight!" said Shen Yue as he walked away.
Shen Xiu was flabbergasted, shocked and annoyed at Shen Yue he had just beaten her.
The sun was about to set. Shen Yue went to his vip room preparing for the finals, duking it out with his older brother Shen Fei tomorrow.

Yesterday I created two same copies of this book, making three Shen Yue books due to some reasons revolving around me and my readers not being able to vote with our spirit stones. I decided that after 70 chapters, I will turn these other two 'copies' into new stories with same setting. One is going to be about a more preverted Shen Yue and a harem. The other a more domineering Shen Yue and a cheat power.
