Chapter 1: Short Story.
The story opens with an uncontrolled celebration in the magic world (which is usually a secret community) after years of terror by Lord Voldemort.The night before, Voldemort had found the Potter family's secret sanctuary, and killed James and Lily Potter.However, when he pointed his wand at their baby,Harry Potter, the murder curse he released instead turned to himself.Voldemort's soul was torn from his own broken body, disappeared from the world of magic,but did not die.Meanwhile,the only result of the failed curse left a special mark on his forehead,a lightning-shaped defect. The mysterious defeat of Voldemort gives Harry Potter a special name in the wizarding world, "A Boy Who Survives".This name is especially because no witch directed by Voldemort can survive against it.
The following night, a witch took Harry Potter to the home of his aunt and uncle, Dursley, where he would stay years later. The Dursleys are a Harry Potter family that is disciplined and is a non-magician. They always try to hide the background of Harry Potter who is a witch and descendant of witches, and give him punishment if strange events occur.
On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter got his first contact with the world of magic, when he received a letter from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, which his uncle and auntie tried to hide, until he failed to read the letter. The letter was finally able to be read after he was met by Hagrid, Superintendent of Wild Beasts at Hogwarts. Hagrid told him that he really was a witch, and the letter told him that he was provided a place to study at Hogwarts.
Each volume of the novel tells the story of one year of Harry's life, most of which he spent in lessons at Hogwarts, where he studied the use of magic and made potions. Harry also learned how to overcome the obstacles of magic, social, and emotion during his teenage years. During the same period, Voldemort also tried to return to his physical body and restore all his strength, while the Ministry of Magic also tried to refuse to acknowledge the threat of Voldemort's return. The Ministry of Magic's rejection then caused a lot of difficulties for Harry Potter.
