Chapter 1: Prologue: Grief
Its been months since Saber and Alpha escaped from the lab. They have nowhere to live but to stay at Rooney's house. Saber was out to fight and Alpha is staying at the house to get some rest.
Alpha is in Rooney's workshop, watching "Space Wars:Revenge of the sixth", Beta is still in Alpha's side and Rooney is tinkering his inventions.
"You really love that series, huh?" Rooney said.
"Of course I do. It is the one I inspire to be."
Alpha then added "May the force be with you" as he wield his weapon and posed.
"Careful now. You might damage my inventions." Rooney said.
"Haha, Sorry."
Alpha then sits as he continues watching.
The front door opens.
It's Saber.
Alpha saw him and later notices something different.
He is silent.
He knew Saber is silent almost all the time but not that silent.
Saber then gone to his room. Alpha thought that he's just tired so he just continued watching.
Alpha didn't know this, but Saber isn't tired, But Fustrated.
His latest match isn't perfect as he thought.
All of his allies are stronger than him, his enemies are harder to kill, and has died five times, making him the weakest of all the five.
He didn't even get the kill.
Saber is full of thoughts, asking himself why is he so weak. He experienced many defeats, but not like this.
After all of that thinking, he finally said a word.
"Power" "I need more power"
He knew training isn't enough, even a help of his brother isn't either. He need to find a new way to gain power.
Then the laboratory crossed his mind...
Night came.
Alpha is about to go to his room until he sees Saber, waiting near Alpha's door. He is about to greet Saber but he interupted him.
"Come with me"
Alpha is confused "What?"
"I have something to tell you"
Saber then goes outside. Alpha followed him.
Outside of Rooney's house is an open field. This is where Saber and Alpha usually train each other for the upcoming battle.
"I know you want to train but I'm already exhausted. Lets continue this in the morning like usual and--"
"Join me." Saber interupts him again.
"And help me seek power"
Alpha sighed.
"I told you I'm tired. If you wanna train, train yourself." Alpha goes back to the house.
"It's not training. We are going somewhere"
Alpha stops and turns.
"And where are we going exactly?"
Saber paused for a second, as if he is hesitated to say it.
"Alpha, I'm too weak. I realized that our training isn't enough. I need to find a new way of gaining power."
"And that is?" Alpha is still confused at this point.
"Let's go back"
Alpha was shocked. He knew what he was saying.
"Saber... you know what you're saying, right?"
"As I said, we're going back. Back to the lab."
Alpha is even more shocked
"You helped me escape, Saber! Beta is almost gone and you want me to go back again?!!"
"It's not what you think, Alpha. With the scientist's help, they can reprogram us into better robots. Even better than anyone."
"So come with me, Alpha. Let us be stronger."
"You already know my answer, Saber. I don't want to experience emprisonment again."
"...I knew you would say that."
Saber unsheathe his swords
"What are you doing?"
"You're going to stop me, aren't you?"
Alpha flinched.
He breathes as he calms himself.
Alpha then puts out his weapon, ready for battle.
Saber stared at his brother, then turns around.
"I know that you're stronger than me, so I waste no time"
Saber slashed the air and made a dimension portal, the same portal he used to save Alpha.
"WAIT!!!"
Saber is entering the portal.
"I said WAIT!!"
Alpha is within his range and proceeds to attack saber.
Just before he attacks, Saber's sword is already in his neck.
"I care less if you're my brother. No one, will stand in my way."
Alpha is petrified. He suddenly knew he was going to kill him.
"Brother, You don't have to do this"
"Foolishness, Alpha. Foolishness."
Saber sheathed his weapon.
"Without power, you are weak. You are made to be better than me and you still taste fear."
Alpha fell down to his knees as he see his own brother drowned by his own pride.
Saber enters the portal.
"And after I obtained what I seek, I shall go back to the land of dawn and let every hero in the land taste True Power"
The portal closes.
Alpha, still in his knees, does not know what he should do.
He should've saved him but he couldn't.
He thought to himself that maybe, he is also weak.
Days after Saber's departure, he finally arrived to Laboratory 1718. A Mad Scientist sees him.
"Laboratory 1718, I've come to bargain"

PhantomKnight64 This story is inspired by a game called "Devil may Cry 3." Learning that Alpha and Saber are connected and are brothers, I think that combining this to an another game can be good. Since it's still summer vacation and almost have nothing to do, I've decided that Im going to write a fanfic over my favorite games on my spare time.
