Chapter 18: Take me!
It's been another week, and Jun Yao has finally calmed down with her crazy thought of training Yun Xi.
Though she still hasn't made peace with Jun Shang yet, because the latter actually threw her inside the fire circle just to satisfy his sister.
Even if the fire didn't actually harm her, Yun Xi was still angry.
'Bastard!'
'How could he just throw her in the fire? She also has a life!'
'What did he take her for? A straw bag?'
Jun Shang didn't apologize after what he did, putting on airs. And this attitude pissed off Yun Xi even more.
"Meow, meow, meow!" <Wish I could turn into a human again to peel off his skin!>
Yun Xi was taking out her anger on the poor towel, biting over it madly to vent herself.
Suddenly, she felt as if she floated over the air as she became startled and looked over, only to see a handsome face zooming in.
"Hmm… done with badmouthing me? Or is there still some left?" Jun Shang smirked as he said with a mocking tone.
"Grr…" Yun Xi only growled at him, not replying back immediately.
If it was some other normal day, she would've tried to scratch him and run away, but today was really an exception.
She could tell from Jun Shang's face that looked exhausted and the black charcoal like eye bags how tired he was.
This guy was working really hard, although in a wrong direction!
"Tomorrow, we will get out and start the rescue mission. The blood moon phase is already over, and the mutated beasts are running rampant. The whole world is in a complete mess right now." Jun Shang sat down on the sofa, leaning back as he placed the black cat on his lap, swiping his hand over the furry back of the kitten as he relaxed.
"Also, there seemed to be a total of twelve black doors appearing within the world out of nowhere, standing still over the sky in different places."
"The fun fact is that every one of them consists of different colors. Nothing is certain yet."
Yun Xi heard the words quietly as she fell into a deep thought.
'So, the Gates truly did appear?'
"Meow?" <How do they look like?>
Jun Shang understood her words as he looked at her with creased brows, "They are colorful, from black to purple… in a row."
"And fun fact is that we got a status window after the doors appeared, like the ones in a game."
"Meow." <It really doesn't make any sense.>
"You want to see?" Jun Shang laughed when he saw the furrowed expression on the kitten's face as he ran his hand on her back.
"Meow!" <Don't!>
Yun Xi wanted to stop him and tell him not to show her his status bar. But it was already too late as the flash screen appeared before them.
"What? You don't want to see?" Jun Shang laughed in amusement.
"Meow! Meow!" <It's dangerous! You rascal!>
"Dangerous? You are my kitten, I can show you this much. There is nothing wrong with this. Aside from that, I can control the panel and decide on whom I want to show this." Jun Shang was amused but at the same time, he was also touched somehow.
'This kitty was worried for me?'
"Meow!" <Don't show this to anyone else!>
Although Yun Xi was touched by how Jun Shang firmly believed her, she didn't stop reminding him that he shouldn't show this to someone else.
"Alright, alright. I won't do that." Jun Shang laughed out again as he promised Yun Xi not to do it.
Yun Xi did see his status window, and it was not that much different from the one she had.
But it was also true that there was indeed a different screen with a different view. He didn't have the options such as title, class, legend etc.
Only personal information, ability and skill showed up.
Jun Shang was considered as a S rank within the ranking leader board, which didn't surprise her much.
As the commander of a first rank battalion troop, and a Major General, Jun Shang was someone who would have an ability that surpassed others. This little information was already given in the introduction.
This was also a reason of him being the center of jealousy among a group of people, who didn't feel happy to see someone surpass them in rank and ability.
"We will go to investigate the doors tomorrow morning, maybe even go inside." He said as he closed his eyes.
But Yun Xi found her way out of his grip as she climbed over his chest and started to yell, her blue eyes rippling with excitement.
"Meow!" <Take me!>
"You want me to take you? But, weren't you being all angry and showing me your butt a while ago? Why should I take you?" Jun Shang smirked at Yun Xi with an evil plan in mind, which startled her.
'What does he want?'
Seeing her all guarded up and tense, Jun Shang broke into laughter as he slapped his hand on the sofa.
"Meow?" <What do you want?>
Yun Xi asked him with an unassured voice, giving his laughter and evil smile… she already knew that this guy was up to no good!
But if she doesn't agree to his words, then he definitely won't take her with him when it's time. And going on dungeon raids was as important as her life.
Because without raiding and getting enough points, Yun Xi won't be able to turn back in a human!
Jun Shang wanted to laugh for another round after he saw the cautious response the kitten gave him.
Of course he had some evil plans on his mind to annoy this little thing, but it seems that his plans were already discovered.
Really, he didn't know why, but whenever he was in a bad mood, this kitty seemed to have the ability to light him up easily.
