Chapter 35: Pinning
"Well there is your bride" Tzoker said to Naraka after catching his breath. "Isn't she a peach?"
Naraka resisted the urge to roll his eyes, " She will serve her purpose" Tzoker just shrugged. It was Tzoker idea and his friend knew to arrange it so his interactions with Mina was on a minimal basis.
Tzoker reached his arms in the air stretching like a feline as he say in the chair. Naraka wondered how they stayed friends so long with. Shaking his head, he thought about what happened with Lilith a couple of days ago. His body came alive just thinking about it. He frowned,' Mina stirred no reaction at all'
Tzoker noticed his inter battled, "What with that look? What are you thinking about?"
"Lilith" was his only answer.
" Still pinning for her ehh?"Tzoker jested. He knew better than anyone how much he was at war with his himself.
" I think of her often. She has solved one problem only to cause another". He sighed.
"You know it's really weird seeing you like this. You almost human" Tzoker commented tapping his chin.
Naraka eyes flashed black, aura flashing in offense.
"These emotions are foreign to me" Naraka responded.
All Naraka knew was war. He was the commander of his farther's as long as he could remember. Pain, blood and wrath is what he could deal with. Love? What was that? He never cared about anyone but his family, everyone else didn't matter in his eyes.
"What are you going to do about it then?" Tzoker asked him, bringing him out of his thoughts.
"Nothing"
"Nothing?" Tzoker repeated shocked displaying across his face. "How long you think your gonna be able to deny your desire for her. It was different went you couldn't get aroused, but now that she has blooded you my friend. This is gonna be harder than You believe."
" Mina is perfect for them role of becoming my Queen. She has been raised in a military family and knows how her place. As long as she is pampered, she will stay out of my way" Naraka stated.
" That is correct but we both know you won't touch her"
" I don't need to"
Sighing, Tzoker stood and prepared to take his leave, " Well, we might as get ready to announce your new bride-to-be"

Lily sat in her bedroom watching tv, when she heard the crackling of a portal opening in her room. A moment later, garvit joined her on the bedroom, blocking her view of the tv.
"Hey love!" Garvit was her usually gleeful self. She was wearing a pink flowing dress.
Lily smiled, " What are you doing here?"
"Are you going to Naraka's engagement party? "
"No"
"It's going to be the biggest event, I hear" commented Garvit. " Even bigger than ours" Iy
was rare if anybody could throw a bigger party than the twins. As if she could sense the her question, "My team was responsible for planning the event" Garvit told her.
"Well then I'm sure it's going to be a hit then" Lily laughed.
" Of Course! But, I mean but! We are not able to blend in with humans that often. So, it takes an extra touch to pull it off when so many powerful being are all in one place" Garvit took pride in the event she hosted with her brother. It was important, since it kept them alive and gave them sustenance"
" I still don't think it's a place I should be. I am staying far away the prince as possible."
"Is there anyway, I could sway you to come?" Pouted Garvit.
"No, The last thing I need is surrounded by power demons. Or for one of those demons to be strong enough to notice Naraka's Mark on me" Lily responded shaking her head.
Garvit gave Lily a kiss on her forehead and sighed, " Okay, fine. I'll leave you be little one. I have to go get ready for the party. Bye. Bye for now"
Lily watched her leave through the portal and laid back on her bed with a huff. 'Why am I considering going to this party after Naraka parting words. "A different life" He had said. So, why am I drawn to him in this life'
