Chapter 29: 29. Friends Part 2
Having been done eating, Fritz offered a helping hand to Shen, who's cleaning the dishes. They have talked about the Outsiders matter as they were eating earlier. Their conversation about it completed Shen's train of thoughts.
"Fritz," called Shen. "I have a friend who has the same name. If my calculations and conclusions are true, you're the same person, right?" He's emitting a serious aura which made Fritz answer honestly.
'Really, you and Natasha are so intuitive.' He smiled inside his head. Shen gave the rinsed bowl to him in which he took and wiped dry.
"It's a long story. I hope you're willing to learn," the kid glanced at Shen. There were no changes in expression on his face. "Well, I can assure you do."
Natasha, along with the two kids, washed themselves first before going into the cold water that was coming down from the waterfalls.
'I guess I'll just listen to them for now.'
The story that Fritz told Shen wasn't that long. He summarized the whole thing, making the long story short. Natasha silently enjoyed herself on the water as she listens in on Fritz's story.
"So, that is what happened," Shen asked. He found Fritz's death as a stupid one. "What do you think happened to Alice?"
The kid shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know. She might have died or, she might have escaped unscathed." Fritz knows what Shen was thinking. It was the possibility of Alice dying back on Earth and got reincarnated eventually.
"It's not impossible, right?"
"Yes, but even if she ever got reincarnated too, we will have to search every transported Outsider."
"It's possible if it's you." What Shen meant was the fact that Fritz could see the Outsiders' in-game names just by looking at them. However, they don't have an idea how many humans from Earth got transported.
The girl that they were seriously talking about was delightfully having a grandeur birthday celebration with the married couple who adopted the poor little kid.
Their conversation ended after cleaning the dishes dry. Shen and Fritz decided to join in with Natasha and the two kids.
"What's wrong with Newt, big sis?"
The hero kid was on one corner of the waterfalls, covering his eyes and his crotch.
"My, my, what might be the reason."
Newt was muttering something under his breath. "Don't look, don't look, don't look."
Natasha's daring swimsuit was too sexy for Newt's eyes to look at. Once he looks at her, Newt will never be able to avert his gaze.
"Oi, Newt, come here!" Lily called out irritatedly. "You're being rude to big sis!"
The two men have just finished washing and were now ready to dip in with the others. Both wore trunks and nothing else.
"Oh, Natasha's as dazzling as always. I might go blind." Fritz sarcastically covered his eyes. "Hmm," he noticed Newt was alone in a corner. "Pervert hero, what's wrong?"
"Don't call me a pervert!" He accidentally took a glance in Natasha's direction. The latter was smiling at him which made him blushed. He was able to immediately avert his gaze. "That was bad." He sighed in relief and glared at Fritz.
"Seems like the little kid's getting bullied." They burst into laughter.
Their bath didn't take long. They went out of the water after half an hour. Just as soon as they went out, Shen's improvised alarm utility resonated.
"I was thinking of going on a hunt with the two guys here but, it seems like our dinner already made their way over here."
[Ferocious Wild Boar]
Their names say they are ferocious but, their looks say the opposite of it. The wild boars were basically small, light-colored than the usual boar and, they seem friendly. That was how the kids perceived the wild boar.
"Looks can be deceiving, huh?"
Before Fritz could even draw his sword, Shen had already beat him to it. The half-naked man rushed towards the ferocious animal.
"Leave it to the adults." Natasha cast her unique skill to Shen. That skill made the latter even quicker on his feet.
The sight of Shen approaching alerted them, the wild boars. They gnashed ferociously. Their protruding teeth grew longer and pointy as their whole body turned double its earlier size.
"Thought I was able to kill it without transforming into a creepy boar." Shen's speed was not enough for him to finish off the wild boars without having them turning monstrous.
'Out of all the RPG gamers that I know, Shen's the weirdest one. He uses a needle-like sword for piercing, instead of a rapier which is most efficient in my opinion.'
<Thousand Needle Piercing>
It was a skill that lets the user continuously pierce the vital points with precision, throwing a barrage of impaling attacks.
The wild boar was mercilessly pierced through its thick skin. It wasn't able to dodge a single attack due to Shen's unfathomable speed.
"That's one boar down."
The sight of their kind angered the other two boars. They began charging from both flanks, aiming for an instant kill.
"Seriously, don't charge at the same time." He avoided getting ravage when jumped, landing on one of the boar's back. The wild animal collided against each other. It stopped them from their tracks for a few seconds only to struggled to shake Shen off its back. "Wild Boar back riding is kinda fun." He was enjoying himself until Natasha threw him a glare.
"Mister is strong," Lily muttered loudly.
Shen flipped down the ground and found himself targeted by the other boar. He waltzes away and used another one of his skills.
<Heart Piercer>
Shen went in a flashy sweep. He lacerated the boar and pierced through its body. It wails and squeaks as it loses strength and slowly fell into its slumber.
<Drilling Pierce>
The last boar went in agonizing pain as Shen used his needle and forced his weapon to drill a hole to the boar's skull to its brain.
'Quick as usual.'
"Phew." He wiped the sweat off his forehead, smiling. "Who likes barbecue for dinner?"
"Me!"
They spent the rest of the day cleaning and preparing the meat of the boars. They stuck it into a skewer and lit up the dry twigs.
"So, that's what barbecue is." Lily was excited to have a taste of the scrumptious smell of the barbecue sauce burning. "It smells tasty already."
Natasha combined brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with mustard, paprika, salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce. Blend until smooth, applied it to the meat, and began cooking.

They were done cooking and were now having a feast of the boar's tasty meat.
"Let us accompany you kids tomorrow. We know a merchant who is reliable and generous when it comes to rare valuables such as the minotaur's rainbow horn."
Lily was happily chowing on her meat, not paying heed to what Shen said. Even Newt was enjoying his dinner. It was the two kids' first time eating barbecue.
"We will be in your care until then."
Fritz didn't pressure the two to come with them. He's sure that the couple wants to live a peaceful life until the time comes.
