I looked at the half black half crimson mask in my left hand , the mask went well with the black robe I wore and importantly it didn't stand out. I focused my eyes on the mask and a status window opened before me

One of the reason I bought this mask was because it was upgradeable , apparently it was hard to find any upgradeable items in the game. The chances were so low that I could only find one item which were the martial gloves I gave to Rin , that was the only upgradeable item I could find.
Other than that I chose this mask to get extra agility , the extra intelligence didn't matter to me cause agility was what I wanted. The elf mage didn't have the agility stat which made it hard for mage elf to move faster , even if I'd equip an item which increased agility it wasn't guaranteed that agility stat would be added.
I wanted a battle mage type of character even if I couldn't obtain physical attack skills , I could just use the basic attack to attack. Human had the most potential out of all the races , there was not any drawbacks or any advantages for Human race. Other reason was Bloodline possibilities.
I was aiming to increase my intelligence to 100 just to get the skill I can get once the threshold of 100 is crossed. After that I was planning to increase my agility and strength , one of the disadvantages of trying to make my character into battle mage were stat points distribution.
If I faced a human mage on the same level as me his mana reserve would be greater cause he would've only invested in intelligence stats where as I'd to distribute them to agility and strength too.
But even though I would've lose in mana battle , in real battle which wouldn't be inly use of mana attacks I would've won cause of my agility and strength. Mage couldn't do much once they were in close range which for me wouldn't have been applied because of my agility , this was my plan.
'After the global release many of the player's will be using human mage once they crack this , I've to look for more of these hidden advantages.'
After thinking that I equipped the mask and a small horn rose from the bloody side of mask , the horn was not that big so it didn't attract much attention.
'I wonder if it will grows as its rank upgrades.'
After buying the mask I headed towards the hunting grounds mentioned in the quests. After a walk of 10 minutes I was able to get to hunting grounds which was located at the western part of beginner's town.

The Garfon's present their were same as always chained by neck with no face standing on their 2 legs. I checked their information by focusing my eyes on them , a blue window popped before me.

As I thought about my magic skills I opened the magic skills I had , 3 magic skills were already given to me I was familiar with all of them as I obtained those last time too.

The skillbook was better than I expected , Haste's duration was increased and Fireball consumed extra mana to get charged now. Luckily with my mask I had total limit of 300 so I could use Fireball.
'Well I thought it was kind of weird charging the Fireball with no extra mana.'
After browsing through my skills , It was now time to hunt them. I was able to get the mask at a cheap price of 410 coins as the dealer thought that it was just a C-Rank mask and nothing more than that.It looked normal NPC's couldn't tell the difference between upgradeable item and non-upgradeable item.
I used the remaining coins to buy a D-Rank dagger which was only equipped to use my strength stats damage whenever my magic skills were on cooldown. The dagger was cheaper cause it was made by a student learning smithing at Xerus's Smithy Academy.

The skill 'Cut' just dealt extra 10% damage and nothing else. The dagger's durability was low so that scared me a bit as Garfon's skin's were pretty thick and hard to cut through.I checked my Status Window for the last time before going in the battle and it looked different than before.

I had 5 hours remaining to complete my sub quest , hearing the story took a lot of time and exploring the market and finding a good mask took hours and hence less time was left for the quest.
I finally started my quests to kill 20 monsters by starting with the level 3 monsters. The plan was to kill the higher level monsters first to get more Exp and level up faster to get 10 stats points making the quest end faster.
I charged towards the LVL 3 Garfon with a dagger in my left hand and Fireball which was charging in my right hand. The Garfon sensed my presence and turned in my direction, the Garfon's couldn't see anything but somehow sensed me.
I threw the dagger aiming towards the Garfon's neck, these low-level Garfon's were smaller than the Mid's and stood about 3m high. To make sure the dagger penetrates the skin I used
"Cut"
The dagger flew in the Garfon's direction and luckily jabbed in its neck.

The 15 strength stat dealt 150 damage and the cut skill dealt extra 10% damage which added to 165 damage.
'Giving a calculated damage feels so good.'
After getting the Garfon in my range of attack I jumped on its neck and pulled out the daggers stuck. The Garfon let out a big cry which grabbed the other Garfon's attention.
'Shit I've to finish this up quicker and hide.'
The Fireball in my hand was fully charged and was ready to use, the neck I was sitting on after pulling out the dagger had a pretty big wound from 'Cut'. I used my hand to penetrate the wound further with the Fireball in my right hand.

I looked at the Garfon's status to see remaining HP.

Letting out a big sigh I started using my basic attack with my dagger , this is where my somewhat high agility came in help. At last after using my attacks and using haste just to increase the Exp points I was able to kill the first Garfon.

'The level up message didn't appear?'
Confused me checked my Status Window and saw that the window displayed the Exp Points required.
