Chapter 2: So you're inspired. What now?
So you're inspired. What now? Whip out your laptop and start typing your chapters away? I can't stress enough how stupid that would be!
You have to understand that inspiration is only partially the reason why we live in such an advanced world today and that inspiration quickly wears off.
Have you ever felt like doing something you've never done before to impress your parents? Maybe bringing better grades, cleaning the dishes every day, or something simple like whipping up some breakfast? It doesn't have to be your parents, it could be one-upping your friends or siblings.
Well, I'm sure you'd find yourself less and less driven to do those things after a while. Ever wonder why? As I said, inspiration wears off quickly!
You have to start creating motivations for yourself whether it be gaining recognition on your work or wanting to have some sort of fame.
