Chapter 10: Graves
In the meantime in the hideout, Peter and Felicia enter it and Felicia asks, "Will he be alright?" "Don't worry he is tougher than he looks. He also uses guns even when I hate it when he uses them," says Peter and Felicia asks, "You know each other?" "Yes, he taught me everything about being a hero before he retired. Told me it's too much of a hassle to save the world every day," says Peter and Felicia says, "So he taught you. No wonder you could defeat some of them easily. Do you think he could teach me some of his moves?"
"Maybe, if you ask him," says Peter and Felicia says, "Will do so when he comes here." They begin to talk until Jack enters through the window and asks, "You having fun?" "Since you are here I will leave. See you Cat," says Peter as he leaves through the window and Jack says, "It seems you became friends fast with my replacement."
"We had time to talk. I have a question," says Felicia and Jack says, "Shoot." "Can you teach me some moves like you taught Spidy?" asks Felicia and Jack says, "So you can go after the Kingpin again." "How do you know?" asks Felicia and Jack says, "I'm not the Punisher, who shoots everything down and asks questions later. I asked one of them before I shot him."
"You still haven't answered me. Will you train me for combats?" asks Felicia again and Jack says, "We begin tomorrow. We will meet here. At 8 p.m. if you don't come I will take it as you don't want to learn. And don't get in the Kingpin's way from now on. Do you understand?" "Yes, sir," says Felicia while saluting and Jack asks, "Why are you saluting?"
"Aren't you a Soldier isn't it common in the Military to salute to someone with higher rank," says Felicia and Jack asks, "Are we in the Military right now?" "No," says Felicia and Jack says, "Then stop saluting." She stops and Jack says, "Good Kitten." "What did you call me?" asks Felicia angry and Jack says taunting Felicia, "Kitten are you angry about something?"
"It's Cat, not Kitten. So stop calling me Kitten," says Felicia angry and Jack says, "Well, I will leave now. Also, don't get into trouble and if you do run as fast as you can. See ya tomorrow." Jack jumps out of the window and begins to run through half the city before arriving at home. He enters through Peter's window and sees Peter on his new PC and Jack says, "It seems you like it. Don't let Dad find out how you got it or he might go and change it back to cash that you have to gift someone you don't even know."
"I always hide it behind the wall of books I put around it," says Peter and Jack says, "Good choice to hide it. The only problem is how to get one for me down there." "Ever thought in saying you are working part-time somewhere and waste some time doing something else and return late. That way you can buy yourself a PC without th getting suspicious," says Peter and Jack says, "Have thought about that already but Dad would come once in a while to see if it's true and I can't be there the whole time."
"Don't you own Stark Industries. Just say you work there part-time," says Peter, who realized his fault in the logic and says, "Right forget what I said. If you had shown your intelligence when young like I, it would have worked. Even more so, if Dad appears there and asks for you and they only know a James Striker."
"See it's impossible to do that. At least the books I don't have to lie hardly to them. They cost almost nothing and I can say I got it from the Library," says Jack and Peter asks, "What are you reading right now by the way?" "Programming and mechanics for people that are attempting to get their degree in it. The same can be said about Medicine and Biology. Don't want my little brother to get from one day to the other four more arms," says Jack and Peter gets a pale face and asks, "Can that happen?"
"Don't know but it's good to be prepared in all cases. Have you already tested your blood and sperm that they aren't radioactive? Don't want MJ to die because you couldn't keep it in the pants," says Jack making Peter now go from pale to red and Peter says, "Out of here." While throwing backs after Jack who retreats out of Peter's room.
Once down in his room he lies down and begins to sleep. The week passed fast with the final exams and training Felicia at night. "*sighs* Finally over. How did it go for you, Jack?" asks Flash and Jack says, "Pretty good I would say but I would worry about other things first." "What things?" asks Harry and Jack says, "Nothing talking to myself there. How about we all go eat something."
"My treat," says Harry and they begin to go out of school and went to the nearest fast-food restaurants and MJ says, "Is anyone nervous about Jack not passing this year." Everyone had shown a reliable face that shows he would pass this year at least with flying colors. "Thought so. He really only needed the right motivation it seems," says MJ as she looks at Felicia and Jack says, "I will leave earlier today. Need to visit someone."
"I hope it isn't a girl that would break my heart," says Felicia sarcastic and Jack says taunting Felicia, "Sorry that I have to break it but I will be loyal to you I promise it." She elbows him into the rips and Jack says while holding his ribs, "What was that for?" "Nothing, I just slipped," says Felicia innocently and Jack says, "You think I will believe that."
"No, but the others will," whispers Felicia into Jack's ears making it look like she was flirting with him to them. "So you want to play this game how about a real show then," whispers Jack back and kisses her in front of everyone and says, "Sorry, need to go see you all." And he leaves them behind with a red Felicia.
He enters changes into a suit and walks to the Baxter Building. Then he enters it and takes the lift up to the 31st floor and sees Johnny eating pizza and Jack says, "Eating from outside again. You know it isn't healthy, right?" "I know but it's the best pizza in New York and it is even better if I don't pay for it," says Johnny and Jack says, "Right, I will go into my Laboratory."
"Still working on that Hoverboard?" asks Johnny and Jack says, "Not really I finished it already and it works the only thing that it needs are weapons. That's on what I'm working right now." "It really works? Didn't you start on it three days ago?" asks Johnny and Jack says, "Do you think your sponsor is an idiot. Just because I don't have a degree doesn't mean I'm dumb."
"No," says Johnny and Jack looks at him seriously and he changes his answer to, "Maybe a little. But how did you manage it?" "Like Colonel always says "How do magnets work? They just do." before he runs into a battlefield. But to be honest I got this idea from Oscorp. They have a similar prototype," says Jack and Johnny says, "Can I help by modifying it a bit like making it faster and more agile."
"Later on first I need to build the weapon into it," says Jack as he walks into his laboratory and begins to work trying to build Mini-Gatlings in the side of it as well as two other surprises in it. After finishing he implants a ship into it and says, "Graves time to stand up." "Master, how long was I asleep?" asks the robotic voice and Jack says, "Four days. I completed your new home. From now on you will live inside the Hoverboard and come when I need you. Do you find something that could be upgraded or could be modified?"
"We could make me faster but that is all except we change my design a little but then the guns wouldn't fit anymore," says Graves and Jack says, "Good to know but we won't change your design for now. Let's see can you make a backup to the PC here in my laboratory?" "I could," says Graves and Jack says, "Good to know. How long can you go into overdrive?"
"30 minutes maximum any longer and the self-destruction protocol will initiate and three minutes later everything in 20 meters will be taken with me down," says Graves and Jack says, "Good everything is working fine it seems. Let's test you out then." Jack takes Graves for a test flight around the city and says, "Everything works fine. I will let Johnny look after you so he makes you faster. Better not talk while he works and keep it a secret."
"I will do so," says Graves as they returned back to the Baxter Building and Jack walks over to Johnny while carrying Graves and says, "Johnny you wanted to tune it right? Here you have it don't change the design or my gadgets won't be able to hold it's weapons any longer."
"So you trust me when it comes to tuning but when it's something else you rather do it yourself," says Johnny and Jack says, "Yes, I want to bring everything out of me before I ask for help so I can learn more while doing. That's why I almost always don't accept help. It runs in my blood." "Really?" asks Johnny and Jack says, "My father was a person that would rather die standing than accept help. That should say everything."
Jack looks at the clock and sees that it's already after 7 p.m. and says, "Need to go tell Susan and the other that I was here. Also, don't destroy my Hoverboard before I could really use it." "Just one question," says Johnny and Jack looks at him and Johnny asks, "Why implant weapons in it? Isn't it yours after all."
"Not really, it's for a friend of mine," says Jack and Johnny asks, "Which friend?" "Ever heard of the man in black? It's him, he needs a means of transportation and I'm providing him one," says Jack and Johnny asks, "Is he some kind of hero?" "Retired hero," says Jack and Johnny says, "Why retired?"
"Being a hero doesn't pay good and always the fighting and having no time for his loved ones. That's why he retired," says Jack and Johnny says, "Are you serious just because of that." "Yes, he trained another person before he retired to take his place," says Jack and Johnny says, "That must be Spider-Man then. Heard a new hero appeared in New York."
"That's right now then, see you tomorrow," says Jack as he walks over to the lift to take it down. "See you, James." Jack takes it down and leaves the Baxter Building and walks into an alley where he changes into his armor and begins to move towards the hideout. He arrives and sees Felicia already training and says, "Look who is a working bee. Maybe change your name from a lazy cat to that."
"Not in the mood for jokes right now. The person I like is right now with another woman somewhere in this city," says Felicia angry and Jack says, "Really, he has you and still chases after skirts." "Don't make fun of me. He said he wouldn't cheat on me," says Felicia and Jack says, "It's good that you trust him. But let's begin with your training before you let your anger out on me."
They begin to train for two hours like every day and Jack says, "You are learning quick but you need more practice. Spider-Man was trained by me for months before he became what he is now. He might not be as intelligent when it comes to fighting but I taught him to outsmart his enemy since it's a street fight. The same goes for you use your brain while fighting and stay away from the Kingpin and his men do you understand."
"Yes, Dad," says Felicia and Jack says, "*sighs* Right I need to go or my world will breakdown. See you tomorrow." Jack leaves the hideout and jumps tries to go home when he gets the feeling he is being watched and Jack says, "If it's that woman again, I won't go easy on her." [Can I eat her?] asks Venom and Jack says, [No, at least not now or the one behind her will see us as hostile and try to attack us or our family. Let's make a round through the city before returning home.]
Jack keeps going passing his home keeping going until he doesn't has that feeling of being watched. Then he returns but this time as civilian and he gets the feeling again and says, [I think they are inside the house.] [Do we fight them?] asks Venom and Jack says, [No, first we find out what they want. If they are hostile then we attack. Be prepared.]
