Chapter 30: The Secret Oliver Managed to Find Out!

With his hands clenched tightly, Blade advanced towards Oliver, who had not shown the slightest fear or trepidation towards him.

On the contrary, even in this silence, Blade felt that Oliver was challenging him.

"You snot-nosed kid wants to try this, huh!" Blade roared angrily as he swung his fist at Oliver.

Luella quickly stepped forward and pulled Blade's shirt. Luella, who knew Blade well, really didn't want anything bad to happen to Oliver.

She was sure that Lydia had a good reason for sending Oliver to help her manage the cafe.

"Hold on, boss. Hold on. It's okay. If he doesn't want to drink meow beer. Let me take his place and drink it. But, Boss Blade, don't get angry again." Luella held Blade's shirt with all her might to prevent Blade from advancing at Oliver.

Concern was evident on Luella's sweet face. Luella's white skin looked slightly flushed with panic.

Seeing Luella's determination to stop him, Blade finally relented. He lowered his outstretched hand.

He looked at Luella's face while shaking his head. "Are you serious?" Blade reached out to touch Luella's chin.

"I am serious, Boss. I will do anything for Boss Blade." Luella said with a trembling voice. She looked down at Blade's fingers gently rubbing her chin.

Oliver, meanwhile, smiled sarcastically at Blade's actions. It was a meaningful smile that only Oliver knew what it meant.

Luella turned towards the barista table and shouted. "Hugo! Please bring me one bottle of meow beer. Now!"

"Yes, ma'am." Hugo stammered as he opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle from inside.

Hugo ran quickly to bring the bottle with the cat on it to Luella.

Luella accepted the bottle Hugo held out to her and looked at the label on the back of the bottle.

It clearly stated that meow beer had an alcohol content of forty percent. Far exceeding the alcohol content of similar drinks in general.

Luella uncapped the beer bottle using the bottle cap opener on the table.

All this did not go unnoticed by Oliver. Not wanting to let a woman take his place drinking alcoholic beverages, he snatched the open beer bottle from Luella's hand.

"Uh, what are you doing, Oliver?" asked Luella.

Without thinking, Oliver gulped down the beer straight from the mouth of the bottle.

Everyone was stunned by Oliver's courage to drink the most intoxicating drink in Luella Cafe.

Second by second, Oliver continued to gulp down the contents of the bottle under everyone's gaze.

When Oliver finally gulped down the entire contents of the bottle, people's curiosity was peaked. They all craned their necks as far as they could to get a better look.

Luella, who was standing next to Oliver, could not hide her anxiety.

Oliver placed the empty bottle on the table and wiped the remaining drink from the corner of his lips.

"I've drunk it, right? Now please leave our cafe," Oliver said with his eyes fixed straight on Blade.

Seeing that there was not the slightest change in Oliver, it couldn't help but make everyone who usually only dared to drink a shot or two of meow beer amazed.

Blade was no exception; he was so shocked that he was speechless.

"Hahaha." Blade suddenly laughed. A sly gleam appeared in his eyes. "If it's just one bottle, it's small. If I only drink one bottle, I don't feel it either. It's just like drinking soda. Try drinking a crate, do you dare?"

Blade put on a smug face to uphold his pride that Oliver had beaten his challenge.

So, he tried to find another way to beat Oliver.

Meanwhile, the people who had been watching their dispute held their breath as Blade said that Oliver had to finish one crate of meow beer.

A crate of meow beer means sixteen bottles.

With that much alcohol, anyone, no matter how strong they were, was bound to collapse.

Not wanting this unpleasant situation to continue, Luella took the initiative to approach Blade.

She leaned towards Blade and deliberately revealed the upper part of her breast.

Luella's low-neck dress made her upper breast clearly visible as she bent over.

Not only that, Luella brought her face close to Blade's ear and whispered affectionately.

"Boss Blade, aren't you tired? It's getting late. Why don't we go into my room. Let's chat casually. It's cold outside, boss...." while whispering, Luella played with her fingers on Blade's chest.

Realizing the implicit tone in Luella's voice, Blade laughed cheerfully with a mischievous smile on his face.

"That's fine too. That's a good idea." Blade wrapped his arm around Luella's shoulders and pulled her closer to him.

Their bodies were now so close that they were almost touching.

Blade, with the gaze of a starving man, lowered his hand from Luella's shoulder and began rubbing Luella's slender waist.

With skillful movements, Blade pulled Luella's body closer to his.

But before they could get close, Oliver had already pulled Luella's hand away.

"You don't have to be afraid of him, Miss Luella. I'm sure he won't dare mess with you. Because he is ... hmmm, how do I explain it. That's it. Hehe...." he said.

A meaningful smile spread across Oliver's face. He glanced at Blade whose face suddenly turned red at Oliver's words.

Oliver's enigmatic words left everyone confused. But not Blade.

The panic that was clearly displayed on his face implied that he could well understand the implied sentence Oliver had just said.

Meanwhile, everyone thought that Oliver was just playing a prank on Blade, who had been provoking him.

But Oliver's act didn't stop there. He now looked straight at Blade and spoke. "Right, Boss Blade?" Oliver's eyebrows rose and fell as if he wanted to convey a hidden message to Blade.

"What are you saying? I don't understand," Blade replied nervously.

Panic was evident on Blade's face, which was adorned with a thick mustache and beard.

In his panic, Blade had lost the fierce aura that had been on his face.

"Never mind, Boss Blade. No need to pretend like that. I know. Hehe." Oliver moved his index finger in a certain motion that made Blade even more dazed.

'You're dead, Blade. That's why you shouldn't be so tough,' Oliver whispered to himself.

Suddenly Blade came forward and wrapped his arm around Oliver's shoulders. He pulled Oliver's body away from Luella.

After making sure that no one could hear his words, Blade whispered into Oliver's ear. "Did you know?"

"I know. You can see it, boss. It's been almost two years, right?" Oliver said casually.

At Oliver's reply, Blade's eyes widened so wide that his eyeballs seemed about to jump out of his lids.
