MAJOR CHANGES
A lot of the recent MCU (as of writing this) is complete garbage, and like hell will I make that shit canon. With the exception of the Eternals and some parts of the what-if stories, everything beyond phase three of marvel will not be canon in what I'm writing- this means the black widow movie, Thor:love and thunder, Black panther: Wakanda forever and Doctor strange in the multiverse of marvel will not happen nor will they have 'ever' happened.
I will however make changes I believe to be for the better (and honestly just far more interesting) by connecting certain comic backgrounds- for instance black widow will now have a comic version of her backstory (as well as more abilities) to actually make her seem like the badass she's supposed to be.
As I will have already mentioned- basically every character here will be stronger, as would be expected when their world is now far more active than before. To use the hulk as an example- in the MCU his strength is high enough to maybe lift an oil tanker, while in the comics he lifted an entire mountain range and has gotten powerful enough to crack planets. Now the version of hulk in this story won't be strong enough to crack planets or anything, but he will have far more potential, he'll start off just as weak as the regular MCU hulk but ramp up in strength according to his rage far quicker.
A more down to earth character that will be gaining one hell of a powerup will be hawkeye- instead of just being the greatest bowman to ever live, he will instead be reaching the level of bullshit he can pull off in the comics- such as consistently hitting bullseyes while strapped into a machine that whips him around fast enough to knock out regular people.
It's not just the good guys either, some villains also got shafted and I plan to change that- Baron von Strucker is a good example, he's a massive head figure of Hydra, yet in the MCU he's casual goon #5. NOT ANYMORE! He'll be the conniving and scheming sonuvabitch he deserves to be (along with Alexander Pierce).
I hope this doesn't sound preachy, but it just kills my enthusiasm to write when I know I have to incorporate the newer vomit-inducing slop they keep creating… so I won't.
I'll be trying to make this world have more depth while not making it entirely like the comics where there's like 100+ supervillains lurking around every corner.
