Chapter 2: Broken World

With a flash of light, that same fourteen year old boy found himself in a delivery room. Laying on the bed was a women with black hair sticking to her face due to sweat, her eyes were a fierce gold as they stared holes into the wall ahead due to her concentration. Standing beside her was two men, they were father and son. Dazzling red hair reached the center of their back, the younger one opens his mouth to say something when everything freezes. The dust particles in the air are frozen in the sun rays that leak from the open windows. He walks forward and reaches out to grab it, when he pulls away there was his hand sized space without dust. "Cool huh." There she was, standing beside the father and son, "Yes." Was all he could say as she walked around the frozen nurses helping deliver the baby. "So you aren't a delusion." She stopped a few steps away, "Do you wish I was?" There was a pause, "I don't know." He said with a shrug. "This women is your mother." She move to the side of the pregnant women, "Which one is my father."

A long moment passed, "The younger man." He looked at her curiously, "Your entire life will be decided on your decision. Could you show some enthusiasm?" He chuckled, "It hard when I don't know why you are doing this. What do you want, why me?" He was serious, if she had asked him when he was younger he would have so many wishes. But now, with everything he's experienced, never accept gifts without understanding the giver will expect something back. "Would you believe me if I told you that everything in existence is controlled by an Equation? This equation controls what worlds are created, what souls are reincarnated. Hell, personality is a product of this equation." They stared into each others eyes, she looked for shock, and he looked for lies. "Yes."

Again she was disappointed by his reaction. "Before my equation was so precise, I had servants control what the equation didn't. Over time they decided they wanted to over throw me, thus they created Outliers. You see, every story Humanity wrote is a version of some world or universe within my equation. They where to essentially destroy themselves, like your world did. But these servants blessed writers with ideas that completely changed these realities. Once the story was written, it was set in stone. For example, Shirou Emiya from the Fate Universe was supposed to die when the Grail spread fire but was saved. Issei Hyoudou was supposed to die to the fallen Angel. Then when a writer wrote these stories, the universe changed." Her eyes took on a distant look, "How does this pertain to me?" Her eyes snapped back to the present. "Because, I fixed all the problems. The Equation is perfect. And yet, on one of the first worlds I've ever made, an outlier was born. When a world or universe needs to end, children die first because they are innocent. You were supposed to die, but you lived. Lived longer than anyone on your world. Do you understand?"

He looked to the tiled floor as his face contorts in... Confusion? "I think I understand." A mere mortal claiming to understand the way all of existence works? Now she was stunned, but she didn't show it. "Explain." He took a minute to gather his thoughts. " 1 + 1 = 2. This explains the cycle of energy throughout time and space. You add celestial bodies, x, and then add souls, y. So now the equation is 1x + 1y = 1 or 1x + 1y = 11. Everything between 1 and 11 down to the smallest fraction depicts minute differences between everything. Which make outliers a 12 right?" He looked at her now. "The actual equation isn't that simple, but yes. Unlike other outliers who were created, you are a natural outlier. Which is why I chose this world for you." This caught his attention. "Is this world also an outlier?"

"No. This world is broken. You see the world has is it's own equation, courtesy of a particularly powerful servant that use sliver of my power. Thus its yours!" She said it like she was giving him a pebble, not a world filled with unknown number of lives. "What should I call you?" She just gave him a world and he asked what to call her. Because he's an outlier she can't predict any of his actions or responses. It was... Annoyingly refreshing. "Mom, Mother, Mama, Mommy. Any works." He rolled his eyes. "What a great mother. Making it to your own sons birth. Matter a fact, its kinda disturbing I'm here." She had a weirdly wide smile as he said this, "You asked for it!!" He didn't have enough time to say wait before there was a strong pull on his belly button then being squeezed through a VERY small space.
