Chapter 105: Charge

Then Tyre swung his sword, and the flags rushed forward, and I heard Kasrin's voice from somewhere to my left: "Charge!" I didn't think I could move any faster up the hill, but everyone around me managed to, so I did too. The effort kept me from noticing the impact of the javelins on our forces. Then they launched a second wave, and this time I saw: Fael stumbled and fell, and I remember wishing I could stop and help her. I still don't know why I couldn't, but I kept running. There was a terrible yelling, and I realized that some of the noise was coming from me.

A third wave of javelins came, causing damage as evidenced by the screams around me, followed by a fourth. One javelin whizzed past my ear, making Opal cry out psychically, and then we clashed with the enemy.
