Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Mehmet

Confusedly he muttered "Where am I? Is this a Lucid Dream? Was the Ritual successful?"

'Boom' 'Boom!' 'Boom!!'

Tonnes and tonnes of White vapours started rolling in and evaporating everything that stood in its path, the White vapours acted like acidic water which would evaporate anything that it would touch.

Somewhat fearful, he watched it's destruction in silence and began contemplating the symbolism behind the dream, Mehmet had read various articles about Lucid dreams yet he still couldn't make the head and tails out of it.

Very soon, the world only had Mehmet and a Gigantic whirlpool of white vapours, twisting and pulling him towards it.

From within the chaotic storm of white, a fiery red Slate of a few meters emerged deep from it and bifurcated the whirlpool, it emanated bright red lights in the surroundings and had a special attraction to it.

In the centre of the Slate, a line of text was written with golden paint in a completely unknown language, that looked like the Runes of ancient civilizations.

Yet unknowingly Mehmet felt he could read it, a striking sense of familiarity flashed from those runes which attracted him towards it.

As if charmed, Mehmet slowly walked towards that Slate, completely ignoring the White hurricane.

By the time he snapped out of it, he noticed himself already standing in front of it.

Not knowing what to do, he looked up and gazed directly at the Runes. Like an electronic message a line of text flashed through his brain, it was written 'Ritual Unsuccessful, No previous connection with the Infernal'

"Ritual unsuccessful? What does that mean?" Mehmet asked himself in a low voice.

As if triggered by something, the whirlpool roared and recombined, it swept towards the Red Slate and submerged the proximity, and entrapped Mehmet within.

This sudden change made him panicked and he moved his arms and legs and struggled hard to break out of it, but nothing seemed to avail and he felt his strength draining slowly, soon he felt his surroundings darkening and his senses getting dull as he closed his eyes in pain.

--------------------------------

Within an apartment room of Güngören district, Istanbul, a youth of age 18-20 could be seen lying on the bed, he wore an aggrieved expression, his brows furrowed and his teeth clenched, tight, his youthful hands were gripping the sheets, indicating the pain he was going through.

"Ha…."

An anguished howl, escaped his mouth and a few moments later he opened his eyes.

As soon as he woke up, he fired his arms here and there and calmed down seeing the familiar walls of his apartment.

That youth was obviously Mehmet, who had just experienced one of the most painful way to die; death by drowning.

Stroking his head, once again he confirmed that he still was alive.

By experience it was the worst pain he had been put through, even after waking up for a few minutes, he sat in a daze on the bed, taking long and heavy breaths.

"What was that?? Hufff….." Mehmet muttered while still catching his breath.

Hurriedly taking his phone, he browsed into the popular chatting and streaming app named 'D*scord', and searched for similar experiences in the Occult group.

Learning through various videos and internet essays online, he came to know this stuff and found the Occult group, it was his learning destination where many Occultists gathered and discussed their experiences.

Following an internet essay named 'A Beginner's guide to Goetia', Mehmet without doing any proper research tried to get himself initiated into Demonic Magick and did the Ritual last night after meditating for a week.

Lest he knew the experience he would be put through, he would've never ever had done that Ritual. But it was too late for regrets, what's gonna happen had already happened, so there's no use crying over spilled milk.

Fully typing out the incident to the utmost detail he waited for a while, but not getting any replies even after tens of minutes, he got up and went to the bathroom as he noticed the time flashing by quite fast.

It was 8 am already, he had to hurry up and get ready to go to his job.

Mehmet was a high-school graduate who worked as a part-time cashier in a local St*rbucks Cafe and lived alone in a rented apartment, whereby his parents were Diplomats who would be never at home, leading to emptiness and unsatisfaction in his heart, which he filled with his passion of video games.

Other than having an unusual fascination towards Occult and Mysticism, he was a thorough and thorough Introverted person, if not for him identifying and trying to change himself, he would've never bothered working at a Cafe, due to the hefty sum of money he gets every month from his parent's generous government salary.

But anyway, working at the Cafe helped him make friends and motivated to stay healthy since no one would like an Obese cashier at a popular Cafe.

In academics, he was average neither too dumb nor too nerdy and he planned to attend a local university to study Medical sciences after cracking the entrance exams which he studied for after coming back from the job.

Due to him living in many different countries made him proficient in many languages such as English, Arabic, German and Chinese. But at the same time, it made him socially inept due to them changing schools and home every year or two, let alone having a relationship, his friend circle didn't even cross into two-digits.
