Chapter 5: SMO Chapter 2.1 : The Weak

'I see...'

The girl he bumped into swiftly picked the spilled papers off the floor, and dashes past Suuco.

"Sorry..." Suuco mutters under his breath, just enough for her to hear as she runs out of sight.

. . . . .

Attending Classes was boring, especially for Suuco.

Most of the things that were taught, he already knew. Believe it or not, his Grandfather was extremely good at math. Apparently he was a Cash Handeler at a Bank when he was younger, calculating the banks flow of money, both in and out, with ease. With this knowledge, his Grandfather taught Suuco every bit of info he had on calculations and how to handle money. Somehow, only the calculations part stuck in his brain, since both Suuco and Suzu had nothing but Manga, Anime and Games.

For that exact reason, Suuco had no friends at school. Not even the usual nerds hung around.

Why? The Bullies. With the Taki and his gang always bugging Suuco, he was practically a fountain of danger.

A while back, Suuco had a small group of friends. By "A While", I mean almost 2 years ago. His friends were a trio. The first one had glasses, and always played RPG Games on his portable console. The Second was slightly chubby, but not enough to be called Fat. He usually played the really complicated games, both Video and Table-top games. And lastly, the Third of the Trio. This one was quite interesting. He had vast knowledge on almost every game you can think of. Although, even with his knowledge, he could never seem to use it correctly, almost always failing every step that he has perfectly memorized.

The Trio, along with Suuco, were starting to gey quite close, until the time when Taki realized that the small little group started enjoying their time around his main victim. After that, well, a little bit of punching and kicking happened, and the trio were threatened to stay away from Suuco.

Thanks to that little one sided bout, rumors went by in a flash, and everybody, including the trio, started avoiding him. Even most of the teachers didn't want to be too involved, despite them being the grown ups.

With that thought, the Lunch Bell rings.

Suuco, being his lonely self, didn't eat in the classroom, but rather hea ate in the garden.

The School had a large greenhouse that grew some tea herbs and vegetables.

Eating there was relaxing, since nobody liked entering the greenhouse after a wierd rumor of some sounds coming from the storage closet of the building.

This, of course, was all part if his plan.

Using a slightly broken radio, Suuco can make a few wierd noises appear from the machine. It was powered by a cord connected to a small Solar Panel outside the building, so it ran for as long Suuco wasn't there.

Entering the small glass building, he stops and looks at the conditions of the plants. Suuco has been watering the plants and changing bits of the soil, as well as pulling weeds from the garden. Can't have your Sanctuary looking more like a Cemetery now, can we?

Before Suuco could begin wattering the plants, he hears a small rustling from the storage room.

Walking towards the noise, Suuco's heart sinks. There was a girl. The same girl from the hallway. She was covered in blood and bruises. Probably from those girls that walked away before.

'Damn them... how can they just be so heartless? I don't understand...'

Suuco picks the girl up from the floor and places her on the small mattress that Suuco brought in a week ago.

Wiping the blood from her face, he begins to apply some medicine that he made from the herbs that he planted near the tea herbs.

The other herbs were medical herbs that can relieve pain, as well as help with healing. His grandfather also taught him how to make some simple medicines from herbs, in case of emergencies.

After applying the herbal medicine, he wrapped the bruises in bandages, and layed her to rest.

Suuco slowely starts to water the plants. After finishing with the plants, he checks on the girl. Still nothing, but she seemed to sleep soundly.

Suuco begins to eat his lunch.

'I only have a few minutes left until class continues... but she still hasn't woken up.'

As Suuco finishes his meal, the girl slowly starts to wake.

'...where...oh...right...' The girl remembers exactly what happened, but not after, as she realizes that she has bandages on her arms.

"Oh, you're awake." Suuco pokes his head through the doorway, slightly startling the girl, who jumped slightly from his greeting, and flinches almost in the alexact same way, since the pain hasn't gone away completely.

"Um...w-who?" The girl looks at Suuco with a slightly scared expression, almost tearing up once again.

"Ah, sorry. My name's Suuco. I found you hurt in my San-, I mean in the Greenhouse. May I know your name?"

". . ."

'This is starting to get awkward...'

As they both just stare at eachother, a small cute growl comes from the girl, immediately making her blush in embarrassment.

"Ah, right, lunch. Wait here for a sec, and DON'T MOVE. You still need rest, so moving is a no-go." Suuco says that, then runs off to the vending machine.

After buying a Soda and some snacks, he runs back as quickly as he could.

"Sorry for the wait. I didn't know the Vending Machine would be that far off." Suuco hands the girl the drink and snacks, which she slowly, but surely accepted from Suuco.

Suuco sighs, partly from running, but mostly from knowing that the girl didn't run away.

After some time, the girl seemed to have finished. The Bell for Class has long rung from now, but Suuco decided to stay and watch over the girl.

"Can I ask for your name?" Suuco asks again, this time in a calmer voice than before.

"...Mina..."

'Mina, huh? Never heard that name in this school.'

"Nice to meet you. Wanna rest some more, or do you wanna ditch school for a bit and grab some more food?"

With an interested face, Mina thinks about her options, and wonders what Suuco was trying to pull.

"...food..."

"Cool. Can you walk? Or do you need some help?" Surprisingly, she gets up pretty easily.

'She's a tough one, ain't she...'

. . . . .

As they sneak out the back gate, they leave campus and head down the street.

"What are you in the mood for?" Suuco looks through some of the windows of the food related buildings.

Surprisingly, to Suuco anyways, she points at a local burger place that sold Hamburgers, as well as had the best sauces you could possibly find for the fries.

"Good choice. Not bad. Now let's grab something to go."

Suuco and Mina buy 2 Cheeseburgers with some Fries, the Sauce from earlier, and 2 Sodas.

As they ate, nobody said a word, and they just sat there, quietly.

After some time, they both finish their burgers and soda, with a few fries left.

"Wanna save the fries for later?" Suuco asks this question, and almost immediately has the fries taken from him.

Mina chows down on the fries, along with the remaining Sauce, and Suuco just stands there, amazed at her appetite.

"...Thank you..." Mina thanks Suuco for the food, and throws the remaining trash in the nearest bin.

"So, may I ask about the bruises?"

"...no..."

Without a word, he nods and stands up.

"Well, wanna hang out until the day ends? Or do you wan't another burger?" Half joking, he extends his hand to help Mina up.

"...burger..." Mina simply pushed his hand in the direction of the burger place.

"Ok, I asked, so we'll get you another burger. Wait here for a but." Before he could leave, Mina grabs onto the end of his shirt.

"...I'm going with..." Reluctant, Suuco helps Mina up, and they both go inside for another burger.

Well then.

With a Twist and a Turn, and a Little Cliche, we finally got our first heroine today.

Not gonna lie, I had a bit too much fun writing this chapter.

Also, it's 1:00 AM. I love never sleeping.

Past that note, I somehow got some more people who are reading my words. That can only make me a little more excited than usual.

Honestly, I didn't even expect to get over 500 views on this novel, sincer there are plenty more in this world, and probably very many that are better than mine. ._.

ANYWAYS

Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a great day :)

(Keep reading or my Cat will scratch your walls and curtains (:< That means you too. You will feel Scratch Pain from a Cat with extremely sharp claws...they hurt, trust me ;-;)
