Mike
"Guys check this out." Mike waved Elena and Jake over.
" Elena had knocked that door down at the right moment because our guy over there had either realized he had been caught and started erasing everything or he had gotten what he came for and was about to leave." He said as Jake leaned into the computer on the desk and scroll the file that had been shown to him.
"It looks like a mail." Jake said while he nodded though Jake couldn't see him. He looked towards Elena who was still standing by the bed looking a little pale. The guy must have hit her pretty badly.
" Elena you wanna check this out?" She whipped her head to him and nodded sharply seeming to have gotten her colour back before moving towards them.
" What's the mail about?" Elena asked coming to stand beside Jake who was hovering at the computer.
Mike watched as she leaned in and read the three words on the screen before going pale again.
I'm in master.
He saw her hand shake slightly as she used the mouse to click on the recipient of the mail. He watched her eyes widen slightly before dropping the mouse and moving away from the screen.
" Are you okay Elena? You look pale." Mike inquired, staring at her closely. He had been sure something was off about her from the beginning but after the accident, he had started trusting her but seeing the shock on her face after reading that mail, he knew there was something she hadn't told them. It must have to do with why he couldn't access her files.
Jake moved over to her quickly, fussing over her while she blushed embarrassingly and he knew why he couldn't question her. Elena had brought light to his best friend's eyes again. He knew Elena wasn't faking her feelings either whenever she was with Jake, so he remained silent and continued observing on his own.
" Are you okay? Is it your head?" Jake asked kept torturing the poor woman and Mike watched in amusement as she tried to fight him off.
" I'm fine Jake. Stop this." Elena glared at him, shoving him away playfully before turning to Mike, a slight smile on her lips.
" What do you think that letter meant Mike?" She had closed her emotions off again and Mike didn't try to read her anymore. It would be a waste of time on his part.
" You could ask me." Jake intrudes but Elena ignored him with a roll of her eyes.
" There's nothing we got from the mail itself other than confirming that our guy is under someone's payroll and that someone is connected to the emblem we saw In the recipient address." He explained checking to see if she understood and she nodded in reply.
" So you mean the emblem is the important thing?" Elena asked.
" Yes, and that brings us to things we haven't told you."
" What things?" She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
" We may have found out who owns the emblem but let's leave here first."

Shit! Shit! Shit!
Ashley panicked internally on the ride back to Jake's place. She wondered what they had been keeping from her. Everything had been going well until she found those damned devices. Finding out the Master had sent him meant trouble.
In her time at the organization, that only meant a clean-up was about to happen. With what she had found under the bed, she knew something bad was going to happen.
Ashley had taken the mission and thought that it would end quickly as she had planned but she hadn't met Jake then. She didn't know she was going to develop feelings. Now, she knew she had to pick an option, either she killed Jake as soon as possible and take her life afterwards or she would have to go against the Master and protect him with everything she had.
She chastised herself for even thinking of the first option, she knew she was far too gone with her feelings and she knew she would go against all odds to protect him.
She loved him.
Ashley sighed in relief as they arrived at the mansion. It had taken her a long time but she was glad she had arrived at that conclusion.
She was in love with Jake Owens.
Ashley was going to have to tell Jake everything. Even if he would hate her, she would tell him because she loved him. And if she was going to rebel against the master, she would have to set her demons free.
She got out of the car as it stopped and entered the house after Jake.
The strange woman was nowhere to be found but that was the least of her problem.
Ashley turned to start questioning Mike on what they had found but Jake took her hand and pulled her towards the guest restroom.
She was stunned and looked back at Mike who only wiggled his brows in amusement.
"Jake, what's going on?" She questioned as he sat her down on the toilet seat.
"We can't leave that wound untreated properly Elena." He kissed her forehead softly and turned to get the first aid box from the cupboard.
Ashley just stared as he cleaned her wound and wrapped a bandage around her head in wonder.
No, she wouldn't tell him now. She would enjoy being with him for a little while before she burst the bubble.
Just a little while.
When Jake was done, he took her hand and took her back to the living room, and the sight before her made her withdraw her hand.
" You guys are back." The woman replied smiling at her slightly.
" I guess we haven't introduced ourselves properly." She continued when she received no reply.
" I am Darla, Jake's aunt ." She introduced herself shocking Ashley to the bone.
" Aunt?" She exclaimed incredulously. She was sure she went through the file the Master gave her and it showed that Jake had no family left. Unless!
Unless the Master hid it from her on purpose, then that could only mean two things. One, she was involved with the Master somehow or two, this woman had a higher authority than the Master.
Either way, her instinct told her the woman was trouble.
