Chapter 1: Prologue
On the screen of a PC, the figure of Azazel walking in the rain was shown before the screen scene started to fade into darkness.
Roger clicked off the pirated anime website as he finished re-watching all 4 seasons of High school DxD once again. He did it because he was bored of being inside from the still ongoing lockdown.
In fact, this is what he has been doing all month, just watching anime, reading the occasional manga, and maybe even pulling out his phone to read fanfics. As a high school student, what was there other than that to do when school was closed?
"Hmm… Maybe, I should just read the light novel" Roger contemplated and thought, 'Why not?', and proceeded to pirate the light novel.
Before he could even open the pdf file, however, a loud sound echoed in his room.
*Growl*
"Right, food. Forgot I didn't have breakfast, nor lunch for that matter" Roger went and opened his fridge to find nothing except for a pack of energy drinks.
*Grooowwwwl*
"Yeah, yeah, I hear you, shut up ya bastard" Roger talked to the eldritch god in his stomach as he got dressed and headed out to find something to eat.
Roger lives away from his parents so he has to take care of himself, usually, he would be responsible and keep the fridge stock but that apparently slipped his mind while binging anime.
Walking down the street, Roger had a mask on as per the mandate and had his hoodie pulled up. He was basically in all black, black hoodie, black mask, black sweat pants, and black Nick band shoes.
Roger went to a local diner and ordered his favorite dish, pizza, from Pizza Castle. After getting his order and paying, he left and walked back home.
Roger stood near the sidewalk, waiting for the light to turn red and cross to get to his apartment. While waiting, he heard some commotion coming from behind him but he just ignored it.
Roger looked up to the stars, there weren't that many, he wondered if he should move out of the city after graduation but quickly rejects the idea as it would be inconvenient.
Suddenly, he felt a hand abruptly on his shoulder, making him tense up before turning to see a blonde middle-aged woman, who is not wearing a mask, yelling at him.
"Hey, did you just steal our order from Pizza Castle! I swear you immigrants are always stealing our things, first our jobs and housing, and you're stealing food from a struggling single mother!..." Karen went on and on about how much she hates immigrants and threw out some racial slurs, all-around drawing everyone's attention.
Roger was just hella confused by what was happening, but he picked up the part of her accusing him of stealing food from her.
"Ma'am, I-" He tried to get his word in but he was cut off.
"Don't interrupt me!! You (insert racial slur) don't have any manners at all, you could have just asked for food from the diner instead of STEALING from us…." Karen continued to go on and on and berated Roger for 'stealing' 'her' food.
"Ma'am, I think you have the wrong person, I didn't-" He was cut off again.
"OF COURSE YOU DID! You have our orders right here!" Karen tried to grab Roger's pizza box in a bag but he swiftly moved his hand away.
"Ahh!!! He's going to hit me!" Karen screamed as she rushed Roger and pushed him.
Roger was completely caught off guard by this as he fell backward and rolled onto the road.
'Thank goodness, there was n-'
*Squeak* *Splat*
A 12 wheeler truck, seeing Roger pushed onto the road tried to stop but it was too late. The truck's wheel crashed his head, sending blood, flesh, and brain matter in all directions, including on the Karen's face.
As horror struck everyone witnessing it, the Karen finally processed what she had just done and tried to run but got tackled by two male bystanders, who were barely keeping themselves from puking from witnessing the tragedy happening from close up.
Police were called and Karen got taken into custody while the police questioned the witnesses on the events that led up to the death of Roger A. Likro, a high school student of 17 years old.
At the court hearing, Roger's parents were crying and screaming at Karen for killing their son. His relatives and friends were cursing and ridiculing her for what she did.
The judge and the juries found Karen guilty and because of previous criminal charges, got 10 years in prison with no parole. The truck driver got some time in prison. got his license suspended for reckless driving, along with a bunch of other stuff.
The death of Roger brought about sadness to those who were close to him and changed the lives of several other people.
However, the one in question was off somewhere else, not the afterlife or heaven or such BS. No, he was now lying unconscious on a hospital bed somewhere.
Not in his world, but in another world.
The Roger, who died unjustly, shall get a second chance and have his soul transported to another world, into a new body.
Let's follow him on his adventure in the world known for its broken power system, hot girls, and boobs.

(Third person POV)
In a certain hospital on the top floor, in a room decked out with high-tech medical machinery and life support; on a clean white bed, a boy with black hair lay with his eyes closed.
His body is quite skinny and thin though not to the point of seeming malnourish, his skin looks quite healthy for someone laying still with various tubes that feed nutrients into his body to keep him alive.
This is Roger Stayv; he has been in a coma for two years after a traffic accident that took both of his parent's life. He has been in this state for the entirety of the two years, not once showing signs of waking up.
The life support machines beep on, filling the room with the sound of a patient's heartbeat being stable.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
The beeping rapidly quickens at impossible speed as the heart rate monitor show Roger's declining heart rate before, within seconds, it flatlined.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP*
Hasty footsteps echoed from the hallway outside the room, within seconds, doctors and nurses rushed into the room with resuscitation devices dragged in on a cart.
They put in everything they've learned to try and save the boy's life, but the jarring sound of the continuous high pitch beep told them that their efforts were useless as Roger Stayv was now dead.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP*
Only the irritably jarring beep sounded in the room, marking their failure of saving the boy from death's grasp. A cold and heavy mood permeated the room, every doctor and nurse started moving the equipment they brought outside while the head doctor started writing a report of the event, alone.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP*
The jarring beep rang on as he stood there writing his report with a deep frown.
*BEEEEEEEPPPPP* *BEEEEEPPP* *BEEP* *Beep*
The head doctor's eyes widen at the miracle unfolding in front of him.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
The heart rate monitor showed a stable heart rate.
He quickly rushed and checks everything else on the machine reading and saw that everything about the boy was fine; in fact, he was far healthier than ever before.
He dropped his clipboard and pen while rushing out to inform everyone about this miracle phenomenon, not noticing the twitching finger of the boy.
His finger twitch lightly for several seconds before his fingers curled into his palm, after a bit his eyelids tremble before slowly lifting open, then closing before opening wider than before.
Roger opened his eyes to see the white ceiling of the hospital room; he clenched his fist hard and felt pain before stopping.
Roger slowly supported himself up into a sitting position and turned his head towards the open window, he felt the spring breeze on his face and his hair fluttered.
Taking a deep breath, Roger looked at the unfamiliar hand before touching his face with them.
"So, I really have been transported to an anime world" Roger muttered with a hoarsely dry voice as he stared at the semi-transparent blue screen floating in front of him.

A/N: First fanfic, so go easy on me. I have not read the light novel of high school dxd and have only read fanfics and watched the anime, so all the knowledge I have is from off-hand stuff.
This will be a mash-up world with other anime characters and some added things to spice things up. So, AU.
Do correct me if I get anything wrong about the dxd world.
