Chapter 1: ●LoveTies●
It was an average day on Mobius; the skies were blue, flickies were chirping, and Sonic was on his usual lap around Green Hill. Nothing could ruin today- besides the usual attacks from the evil genius, Dr. Eggman. Sonic was running when a voice stopped him in his tracks.
"Hi, Sonic!" Tails cheerfully said.
"Hey, buddy! Nice seeing you here with the gang."
"Yeah, Amy and Knuckles are inside playing Uno. I was waiting for you to come around."
The blue hedgehog chuckled under his breath before thanking the two-tailed fox. Sonic sped inside the yellow house. Tails followed quickly behind. Amy and Knuckles looked towards the door to find Sonic and Tails standing there.
"Look who finally came by.", the red echidna stated daringly. Sonic just rolled his emerald-colored eyes at the comment. All the while, Amy got up and gave the blue hedgie a tight squeeze.
"Can't, b-breathe." The azul hedgehog breathed out.

Shadow's Pov
I finally get to head home. That is until I saw a certain someone run up to me.
"Hey, hon. Wanna go shopping at the mall?"
Great, now Rouge is here.
"Not really." I rolled my eyes as she pleaded for what felt like ages.
"Fine! Just let me be afterward!" I could feel my muzzle scrunch up and my eye twitch. I slowly breathed in and out to calm myself. That bat thief always thinks it's funny to drag me to stores just to be a clothes rack. I always end up carrying the bags, that's just how it is.
I didn't realize that I subconsciously walked to the store.
"Hello? Earth to Shadow? ", the bat waved her gloved hand in front of my face. I blinked as I swatted her hand away. God, why do I have such a bad habit of spacing off? Rouge walked throughout the mall, buying things left and right. And now, I'm carrying her bags. Again. I just want to go home, eat some coffee beans, and snuggle up in a blanket while watching some TV. I soon come back to reality when I hear a familiar voice.
"Oh, hey, Shads!", great, now Faker's here too.
"What do you need?" I sent a glare his way. Maybe he'll understand the gist and back off. Nope, he's going to continue talking.
"Oh, just saying hello to a friend." his smile grew wide as he continued. "I was also wondering if you'd like to come to my party?" His eyes gleamed with hope and nervousness. He started to shuffle around on the floor. I just rolled my eyes and responded with a maybe. Huffing, I set the bags down, for three bags, they were pretty heavy.
Rouge finally walked back over to me and I grabbed the bags, holding the green chaos emerald, and dropping Rouge off at her house. Its flowerbeds were beautiful, as always. I'm not gonna tell her that though. I finally took out the green, glowing gem.
"Chaos Control!"
I was back in my little house. I am living alone, so it is a one-bed-and-bath kind of house. I walked to my bedroom where it was dimly lit. I sat down on the red checkered bed in the corner of my room. There is one window on the other side of the room to my bed. I also have some grey, fluffy carpets on the floor. My laptop was left out on my bed, so I grabbed it and went straight to LoveTies, a dating app Rouge downloaded on my phone and laptop. I don't usually go on stuff like this, but I'm just a little curious.
As the app LoveTies was loading, I headed out of the room towards the kitchen in search of some coffee beans. Grabbing one of my mugs, specifically the white one with a cat imprinted on it, I poured some coffee beans into the cup. I also grabbed a spoon because I was not about to go eat them with my bare paws. As I walked back to my room, I heard someone banging at my door. I don't need this right now.

3rd Person Pov
Shadow put his coffee beans and spoon down on the kitchen counter as he lazily walked to the door. Slowly, but surely, the ebony hedgehog cracked the door open just enough to get a good peek at who it was. Seeing that it was a certain blue hedgehog, he slammed the door.
"Oh come on, Shads." Sonic whined from the other side, "I just wanna give ya' the time and place of the party."
"Well, text me instead; I don't have the time to mess around."
"I don't have your phone number though!" the blue blur yelled, clearly annoyed by the other's actions.
Finally, Shadow opened the door all the way, allowing Sonic to walk in. Shadow was still in his casual white t-shirt and grey sweatpants. Sonic plopped down on Shadow's black, leather couch while the ebony one sat down gently on the other side of the couch. Shadow glanced over at the blue one, who had a bona fide smile on his face. Soon after, the ebony hedgehog asked politely for Sonic's phone.
"Sure, no problem, Shads." Shadow rolled his eyes at the nickname and typed in his phone number, then he swiftly gave it back.
"Since you are already here, you might as well just tell me now."
"Okay. Well, the party is gonna be at Tails's garage and you should probably show up around 4:30ish. Oh, it's also going to be this upcoming Saturday." Sonic finished telling Shadow.
"Alright, thank you for telling me. Now, leave, hedgehog." Shadow pushed Sonic out of his house leaving the blue hedgehog out on the small porch.

Sonic's Pov
I stood on the porch after Shadow had pushed me out of his house. How rude can he be at times? I'm just glad to know he might actually come this time. I stuck my phone back in the rear pocket of my light-colored blue jeans. I started to sprint back to Tails's house to check up on him.

I finally made it back to the yellow house, skidding to a stop. I walked up to the door knocking three times.
Knock!
Knock!
Knock!
Tails finally answered the door with a groan as he let me inside.
"Soooo, how's my little buddy doing?", I asked, purposefully dragging out my O's.
"Well, I was working on a new invention until you came knocking at my door.", Tails stated a little irritated. 'Oh well.' I thought to myself as I rubbed my neck, chuckling nervously.
Tails walked me into the garage and started to point out all the features of his gadget. But I wasn't really paying attention, not because I don't like his inventions, they just... confuse me. My phone dinged, 'A new notification?' I thought since it was about this recent app I installed. It's called LoveTies, by the way.
"Hey! Are you even paying attention?!"
"Oh, yeah. Sorry, bud.", I responded carefully so I wouldn't hurt his feelings. Tails gets a little emotional to people not paying attention to his explanations. I quickly shoved my phone into my back pocket, gradually listening to Tails talk about his invention.
All I could think about was that notification.
