Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Jealous?

Aden was racking his brain in the company inside his office. He cursed his elder brother for being so heartless towards him. He wanted to go out and enjoy a little but he knew his brother would beat the shit out of him.

Poor Aden took his mobile and called Nick who was also suffering but not much now. All thanks to his little Crystal who seemed to always amuse her with her tactics and personality.

"What is it, Aden?", Nick asked in a bored tone. He was signing a few papers that were piled up on his table. "Bro, mom was asking you to come home", Aden passed his mom's message. Nick was well aware what his mother wanted.

"Tell her I am busy with work", Nick said hanging up on Aden who frowned. 'How dare you hang up on me?! Now see what I do'. Aden smirked wickedly as the horns on his head could be seen.

In the evening, Aden went to Xavier's mansion as his mother was there to visit Daisy. Daisy was recovering very well and she would be fine in just a couple of days. Daisy just wanted to go back to shooting.

"Hey, little sis in law. What's up?", Aden greeted with a grin looking at Daisy who was sitting next to his mom on the sofa in the big living area. He was just about to pinch her cheek when a cold voice warned.

"Don't you dare touch my woman", Xavier growled in a possessive tone to which Aden rolled his eyes. Xavier walked towards Daisy, pushing aside Aden roughly, he glared at Aden. Daisy held Xavier's hand calming him.

After the incident on set, he had gotten more possessive and protective. He increased her security not just because of the Entertainment industry but because she could be used by the underworld enemies of Xavier.

"Aden, did you call Nick?", their mom asked. Aden turned to his mom and said innocently, "Mom, Nick is too busy with his new girlfriend. What was her name? Umm... Crystal Long, yeah. His new secretary."

"Crystal? Isn't she the one who used to be his rival in school?", his mom asked to which Aden nodded. "I'm glad, he found his match. Ask him to bring her home quickly", his mom said excitedly grinning.

"Sweetie, let's go upstairs. You should rest now", their mom said to Daisy who nodded. Daisy glanced at Xavier then walked upstairs with his mom leaving both the brothers alone downstairs.

Xavier kept staring at his younger brother. Aden noticed the penetrating gaze of his brother on him. "Bro, why are you staring at me?", Aden asked very innocently as if he was accused of something he didn't do.

Xavier glared at Aden more fiercely. "Okay. I know it was a mistake. He was being too arrogant", Aden said with a shrug. "Ask him to come home tomorrow morning with that girl. I want to meet them", Xavier said walking upstairs leaving Aden alone.

Aden breathed out once Xavier left. He took out his mobile and texted Nick quickly.

Nick was still in the office when he received the text from Aden who explained everything in detail. Nick groaned in annoyance reading the text. He so wanted to beat his younger brother right now for this.

He was pulled back to reality by the knock on the door of his office. "Come in", his voice void of any emotions. Crystal stepped inside holding a file in her hand. She placed the file and explained about it to Nick.

"Crystal", Nick called out just when she turned to leave. She turned back to him. "Umm... my elder brother wants us to go meet him tomorrow in the morning so be ready", he said or more like ordered.

Crystal gave him a dumb look as if talking to some psycho. "Do I need to take any file or document?", she asked ignoring his gaze on her that made her heart flutter. He always seems to do things to her that no one did.

"Just get yourself and that's all", he said in a bored tone. She pressed her lips together in annoyance. She so wanted to go and smack the files on his head then smack his handsome head on the table until she was satisfied.

"I know I am handsome. You don't need to stare at me like that", he said looking down on the document. She let out an annoyed laughter hearing his words. Crystal resisted the urge to go and hit him hard.

"The office hours are over so I don't need to be formal now. You idiotic jerk. I want to hit your head on that table right now. You know you are so annoying that I want to keep hitting you until I'm satisfied", she breathed out once she was done.

Nick kept his gaze lowered as a smirk spread across his handsome face. He finally looked up and found her panting in anger. She looked like a little feisty kitten and he liked it. His smirk grew wider looking at her annoyed face.

He closed the file on his table and stood up walking closer to her. She being the cautious self from the last time when he suddenly kissed her started walking backwards until her back hit the cold wall of the office.

Her breath hitched in her throat as she realised that the distance between them was so less that she could almost feel his warm breath on her face. His breath smelled like the caffeine from the coffee he drank just a few minutes ago.

"Wh-What do you think you are doing?", she asked trying to look confident which she knew that she wasn't even a little bit. Her heart was pounding inside her chest as if it would explode anytime soon or she might die out of cardiac arrest.

"Just as you said, the office hours are over", he repeated her words in a husky tone. She felt her breath getting heavier when he leaned down to her level. She closed her eyes as if waiting for something.

Nick smirked looking at her. Where did the feisty little girl go?

"Are you waiting for me to kiss you?", he whispered into her left ear that turned red due to mortification. Her eyes snapped over glaring at him fiercely. His smirk grew wider looking at her.

She tried to move away from him only to be caged between his arms. "Since you anticipated so much then I won't let your anticipation go to vain", he said as his eyes glinted with mischief.

"I-", her words never left her lips as he sealed them with his. Crystal was caught off guard and her eyes widened. Nick sucked her lips savoring the delicious taste of her sweet lips. One of his arm wounded around her waist pulling her closer.

Unknowingly she started responding to his kiss and touch by leaning towards him and kissing him back. Nick smirked. His free hand grabbed the back of her neck tilting her head as he devoured her sweetness.

Crystal gasped when he squeezed her waist. He quickly took this chance and pushed his tongue inside her warm mouth. She tried to dominate him but ended up getting dominated by him. He took his time tasting her.

Nick pulled back and glanced at her red face. She was panting from the breathtaking kiss. Her heart was racing inside the rib cage, she felt as if it will come out by the way it was throbbing inside her chest.

"I like you. Be my girlfriend", he said in a firm tone not leaving a place for any question about his feelings. She looked up at him with wide eyes. "Don't say you don't like me. I will prove myself right now if do that", he warned.

She gave him an annoyed look. "You returned my kiss without struggling that means you have feelings. If you still can't understand then I have more ways to convince you, my kitten", he whispered the last part in her ear.

She felt blood rush to her cheeks and her ears turned red. He smirked and placed a kiss on her ear. All of a sudden she remembered something and pushed him away. "Who is cotton candy?", she asked in a voice filled with jealousy.

Nick brushed aside the hairs behind her ear as his smirk grew wider. He liked it when she acted like this. "Are you jealous?", he asked in a teasing tone. "Yes, I am. What can you do about that? You don't like me now?", she asked angrily.

"It's my sister in law. I never had a sister but when she came to our family, she became our precious little member. You will have to treat her better after you marry me. She is younger than everyone of us", he spoke as he caressed her cheeks with the back of his hand.

She blushed hearing the word marry. Was he so serious about her? She liked it that he was serious unlike those scum who just wanted to have pleasure from her and nothing else.

"Sure, I will", she said with a smile. "We will go meet my parents. My mom wants to see you", Nick said in a gentle tone. She nodded obediently. "Propose me soon or I will go find another man", she said arrogantly.

The aura around Nick suddenly changed and the temperature of the room dropped. Crystal looked up to find his face darkened. Anger was clearly evident in his eyes. Was he angry? She thought to herself.

"You wouldn't dare go to other man because I already announced you as my fiancee in the party", he smirked devilishly sending shiver down her spine.
