Chapter 51: Chapter 51
On Concordia, a small resistance of Death Watch soldiers were putting up a fight trying to drive the invading Imperium forces away and defend their bases.
Pre Vizsla was fighting on the front lines watching the Mandalorians be pushed back unable to stop the advance of the Imperium forces.
Pre Vizsla had yet to use his dark saber because he felt no need to use it on mere droids. But as the battle progressed these droids were killing any Mandolorian that attacked them showing no mercy.
The Death Watch troops were on their last leg as they were hold up on one of their bases while surrounded by droids.
But they were making progress as the droids had to walk through a tight hallway to advance through the base so the Mandalorians used the hallway to their advantage and destroyed some of the droids as they retreated back. But the droid's armor was really strong so they destroyed 3 of them.
Some of the Mandalorians attempted to fight the droids in CQC(Close quarters Combat) and soon realized how useless it was against armored droids.
John had just landed next to the entrance of the Mandolorian base accompanied by Layla and 4 ECD's. He then followed one of the droids to where the Mandalorians were held up.
Pre Vizsla and his Deathwatch troopers were still fighting off the wave of droids while retreating further back into the base. Then suddenly the droids stopped shooting which caused Pre Vizsla to be cautious and prepare his Deathwatch troopers to use this chance to find a way to escape.
But then where the droids were coming from two humans and 4 massive droids that looked intimidating had emerged. Pre Vizsla assumed that this must be the leader of the droids.
"Pre Vizsla it's such a shame that we meet here as enemies but I need something from you that I'm sure you know what it is" Said John
"If you're talking about the Darksaber you will have to kill me to take it and prove that you are worthy to have the title of Mand'alore and lead the Mandalorians," Said Pre Vizsla as he pulled out the Darksaber
"This will be a short fight but I will offer you a chance to surrender and lay down the Darksaber," Said, John
Pre Vizsla didn't say anything and charged at John. The other Deathwatch soldiers charged at Layla and the four ECD's but found that they couldn't even move from where they were standing. All of the Death Watch soldiers were frozen in place and couldn't move to fight.
John knew this was Layla preventing any interference from the duel between John and Pre Vizsla even though it was going to be a short fight as John's strength was already past Human standards and he wasn't even a human as he was a Demi-God so normal people like Pre-Vizsla could be defeated in a matter of seconds.
As Pre Vizsla charged he activated his jet pack and flew in the air above John before diving down ready to strike with the Darksaber.
John used the force and crushed Pre-Vizsla jetpack then threw him at a wall. Pre-Vizsla had broken his ribs from the impact and shattered his spine but he refused to give up and charged at John once again but his jet pack was broken so he had to use his speed.
This time John blocked Pre-Vizsla with the arm of his suit before throwing a punch at Pre-Vizsla's chest.
Pre-Vizsla saw the punch coming and backed up to dodge it. But when he backed up he lost his balance due to the force of John's punch. John seeing this quickly charged at lightning speed catching Pre-Vizsla off guard and taking out his lightsaber to cut off Pre-Vizsla's arms.
Pre-Vizsla brought the Darksaber forward to block the lightsaber but he was too weak and the strength of the swing knocked the lightsaber out of his hands and chopped his arms off.
Pre-Vizsla laid on the floor with Broken ribs a shattered spine and his arms chopped off. He was waiting for the final strike to end his life but it never came.
John had never planned to kill Pre-Vizsla instead he would prove his strength and get Pre-Vizsla to Join him. Among the people of the Galaxy who couldn't wield force powers, Pre-Vizsla would be considered a strong warrior and could even give a Jedi a problem if he fought with them. That's why John decided to have Pre-Vizsla join him so he could use that strength for something greater than leading a small terrorist group. And his ability to lead could be put to use as a General in John's armies.
John began healing Pre-Vizsla who was awaiting his final moments. Pre-Vizsla broken ribs, Shattered spine, and cut-off arms began to heal and regenerate. He was confused about why his opponent had healed him and wondered what the reason was.
"I won't kill you Pre-Vizsla because you could be used for a better purpose than dying here without seeing Mandalore United. So I have a proposition for you" Said, John
Pre-Vizsla stood up fully healed to listen to what John was going to say
"I want you to fight for me and if you do you can live to see the moment when the Mandalorians Glory and Honor are restored throughout the Galaxy and new age will be brought to Mandalore restoring the former glory you once had." Said, John
All Pre-Vizsla wanted was for the Mandalorians to regain their former glory instead of following the Pacifist Duchess Satine who wants to destroy the old warrior ways so when John said he would restore their former glory he wanted nothing more than to see it. And he knew John could do with his strength and how much power he had. He once thought John was just a weak person who ruled an Empire hiding in his Palace while his armies do the work but now he knew he was more than that.
"I would be honored to follow you and see the Mandalorians Glory restored" Said Pre-Vizsla as he bowed his head.
"Good I want you to gather the remaining Death Watch Soldiers here and inform them of who their new leader is and how I now hold the Title of Mand'alore," Said John "And If anyone disagrees I will leave that up to you to decide" Said john with a serious look on his face.
As John watched as the remaining Deathwatch soldiers were released from being frozen they all kneeled showing their allegiance to the new Mand'alore.
Pre-Vizsla then ordered them to gather the scattered DeathWatch soldiers here.
While Pre-Vizsla was ordering the soldiers John had received a transmission from the fleet above the Planet that a Republic Fleet had shown up so he left the base and boarded the transport back to the Fleet.
Above the Planet Pong Krell was the Jedi sent along with the Republic fleet to investigate the report of an Imperium fleet blockading a Mandalore planet. Pong Krell had already foreseen the fall of the Jedi and the republic and turned to the dark side of the force allying himself with the Sith. But the Jedi Council didn't know nor discover his turn to the Darkside.
When Pong Krell was assigned to investigate a report of Imperium ships in Mandalore space he thought he could use this to start a new war with the Imperium and hope his actions would lead to an apprenticeship with Count Dooku.
As the fleet arrived in front of them was a massive fleet blockading a planet with the Imperium flag on the hull of some ships.
The Republic fleet sent out a transmission to the Fleet which was answered immediately.
"This is Republic space and you are trespassing without permission I suggest you leave so we can resolve this 'Peacefully'." Said Krell with a strong emphasis on Peacefully
On the Hologram, the only thing showing was John's body, and his head was not shown.
"We are here because Mandalorians have been suspected of an assassination attempt on The emperor so we are here to find the culprit". Said, John obviously lying since his real reason was to obtain the Darksaber and conquer the Mandalore system.
"Mandalore is a part of the Republic and the republic won't just sit idly by while you do whatever you want so I will offer you this last chance to leave the system or it will be war with the republic," Said Krell while he had a smirk on his. He secretly wanted them to refuse so he can attack them then retreat while also getting the Republic fleet destroyed.
The Admiral of the Republic fleet looked at the Jedi and thought 'Weren't we here to negotiate'. The situation was getting tenser and any negotiations weren't even happening as the Jedi was issuing warnings instead of negotiating a peaceful resolution.
John and Krell continued to talk more with Krell threatening John. But after some time John could feel that Krell had turned to the Darkside so he revealed himself on the Hologram which surprised the Admiral and Krell.
"I could feel the Darkside in you Krell it seems that you have already fallen to the Darkside and me and My Empire don't like Siths so I will offer you a choice surrender now or Waste the lives of those under you in a meaningless fight that will result in your downfall." Said, John
"Surrender haha to a weak person like you I would never and it would seem that you refused to leave the system," Said Krell
John was tired of talking to such a blockhead and felt bad for the soldiers under Krell's command.
Krell had got tired of going back and forth and wanted the war to start to end the Jedi and the Republic so he could gain favor with Count Dooku. So ordered the fleet to fire but the Admiral refused and was cut down by Krell who forced the Fleet to fire or they will be charged with treason.
The Fleet officers and soldiers fearing for their lives followed his command and opened fire. Thus marking the start of the Republic and Imperium war.
