Chapter 21: Crew?

Khan walked out of the training room, adjusting his bodysuit as he did. For hours, he released his pent-up sexual desires inside of Belia; Making his member irritated by the suit due to being a little sore and tender.

Even so, a smile still hung on his lips. At the end of the hall, he saw Habitat standing with her arms crossed.

"Good for you Lord Khan, I thought you'd do it for sure in the ten years we spent on Rakata Prime. It never ceases to amaze me how you exceed my calculations."

"That's because your sample size is too small, you base your calculations off data and algorithms but that doesn't factor in a person's will." His eyes turned to the droid.

"Some people will make an illogical choice just because of how they feel. To calculate how someone will react, you have to know their goals and motivation."

"Noted, I'll pay more attention to people's emotions and base my calculations off them." Habitat nodded with an understanding.

"Did you want to do anything with the natives on Rattatak? We'll be leaving soon. While the satellite can continue to monitor the system, we probably won't be back here in their lifetime."

Khan pondered for a moment. "It won't hurt to have more people in case I need test subjects or soldiers. Send out the transports and capture back twelve Rattataki females and eight males; Preferably from Clan Ventress"

"The ships are being loaded now, a few assault and assassin droids should be able to handle it."

He could hear the droids moving down the hall as Habitat informed him.

"Take Belia to her room, she needs to rest. Inform me when the Rattataki are back and it's time to leave." Khan waved his hand and went toward the elevators.

"Second deck." He spoke as he entered. The door closed and it started to move.

The door opened and revealed a long corridor that extended for half the ship. Each side had twenty doors leading to the joint rooms. He walked to the first door on the left and went straight in.

Inside was a communal living space with furniture and a small kitchen. There are four doors that lead to separate rooms, each with its own bathroom.

He didn't have to look further, Sheva sat on a table with her legs crossed and her eyes closed.

When Khan entered the room she opened her eyes. "Master!"

She hurried to drop to one knee and bowed her head.

"Habitat is the stewardess of my ship. She can hear and see every inch of the Prometheus." He spoke slowly as he looked at the Rattataki on her knees.

"I'm telling you this because she will bring twenty of your Clansmen onboard. If they annoy me or try going places they shouldn't and break something, I will punish you."

Her body shivered when he spoke of punishment. She seemed to feel needles pierce her body and a blade slice through her flesh through the force itself.

"Keep them in line, and as a reward, you will be given a lightsaber. You'll also be permitted to use the training rooms on the first deck."

She heard Khan turn around and leave. When the door closed she raised her head, sweat dripped from her brow but she clenched her fist in excitement. All she could ask for was to be given a chance.

Khan went back to his laboratory. While his new apprentice was recovering, he decided to do some experiments. The questions he had about the force were boundless.

He inserted a tube into his cell analyzer. It separated the contents and began testing. The tube contained some of his own semen, he wanted to know why the children of force sensitives inherited their parent's talents more often than not.

As the machine analyzed, he found that midi-chlorians in each cell varied. His midi-chlorian count wasn't high, a little over 16000 per cell. Belia had a higher count in the 19000s.

The cells in his sperm ranged from 2500 to 10000; Most being in the 7500 range.

"If it's the same thing for women, the midi-chlorian count is a mixture of two parents?" He pulled up the data on the Ventress family. They all ranged from 12 to 14 thousand, surprisingly consistent.

"Children born to non-force sensitive parents may be a mutation. Or something to do with the force itself. My situation should be caused by the force." Khan went to the male Rattataki and stretched out his hand.

He felt the force in his body and began draining it from him. There was no physical change in his appearance, but he could feel the energy draining from his body. Eventually, it bottomed out.

He continued to drain nonetheless. He watched the indicators on the display until he saw his midi-chlorian count dropped slightly.

Khan withdrew his hand and his brows furrowed. The energy he drained felt no different than the life energy he drew before. "The force is life itself, it makes no difference."

His eyes began to shine. "Only this way I can drain the force without killing them." After thinking about it some more he sighed.

"But that's useless to me. Killing them or not makes no difference. If I could directly absorb their midi-chlorians it would be different." He couldn't help but shake his head.

Everyone has a unique signature in the force. Even if he pulled the midi-chlorians from their cells and placed them in his own, they would die.

His Apprentice worked because he fully transplanted organs. She actually had two force signatures. One she inherited from the mother and one she shares with Vala.

Her connection with Vala will only continue to grow. The only bones in her body were from Vala's limbs. Her blood will eventually change to match Vala perfectly.

That's one of his research subjects. To see if two beings sharing midi-chlorians can form a force bond.

He was constantly watching Vala's brain activity as his Apprentice meditated in the kolto tank.

"This still doesn't help me in controlling midi-chlorians." Khan signaled for a droid to come over. "Harvest sperm from the male and eggs from the sister. I want to see what happens if a child is artificially bred using two cells with a high midi-chlorian count. It shouldn't be that easy to make a force-sensitive child."

The droid immediately began its work and Khan moved over to Vala. "If artificially bred children worked, your ritual wouldn't be so difficult. I'm inclined to believe the force requires a mother to carry the child."

Khan began to ponder. "Maybe if I inseminated the woman instead of growing the child in a tank."

He remembered the first Dark Jedi used rituals and Sith Magic to impregnate the Sith Race females to carry forward their line.

That in itself is controlling midi-chlorians to make life.

"Do two tests, grow one child in a tank, and impregnate the sister for the other." Khan turned his head and spoke to his assistant droid.

He moved to the robotics area and began designing limbs for Vala. Only the joints were designed to give increased strength. The inside was mostly hollow with spiderweb-like rods running from the digits all the way up.

At the end of the prosthetic was a drill. Designed to bore into Vala's bones and start pulling marrow and calcium. Eventually, the inside of the prosthetic will form thick bone limbs covered by metal.

This may return some of her force potential to her.

While he was working on the limbs, Habitat returned with the Rattataki. When the droids ushered them off the ship, Sheva was there waiting for them.

Even if they were her former clansmen, her yellow eyes were cold as she looked at them.

Their eyes were full of curiosity as they looked at the technological wonder around them.

"Listen up!" Sheva's yell gathered their attention. "My name is Sheva Ventress, your new Matriarch. You will listen to my every word or die. If you displease me you will die. If you touch or look at something you shouldn't you will die."

She pulled the lightsaber from her waist and ignited the green blade. She could feel a slight rejection from the crystal inside, it hampered her control over the force and made her weaker.

The droid who gave it to her said if she wanted to make it truly her own, she had to make it bleed.

Just like he didn't give Belia a blue or green kyber crystal, he wouldn't give her a red one.

When the Rattataki saw the green lightsaber they didn't question her. The symbol of the lightsaber and the name Ventress had been seared into their bones. For thousands of years when combined that represents their Matriarch.

The corners of her lips rose when she saw this, feeling a bit of pride. While it may only be twenty Rattataki, her status on this ship was no longer the lowest.

She led them to the second deck and forced them to share rooms at the very back, far away from her. After telling them not to leave, she went to the training room.

For too long she had wanted to train with a lightsaber. Something she dreamed about since she was a little girl.

Habitat walked into the lab and saw Khan working. "The prisoners have been captured and the ship is full of gas. We can leave at any time."

"Crew, not prisoners." Khan glanced at her but continued his work.

"Based on what I've analyzed about you, there is no difference." She shook her head. "We can leave at any time."

"Then let's go, the more time that passes the more I want to get my hands on Sith Magic." A light flashed in Khan's eyes. His hunger for knowledge continued to grow with every experiment.
