Steadily Walking through the park along the outskirts of the Capital city of Jabiim was none other than the young imperial Admiral William, his two Imperial Super commandos (Imperators) shadowing him several meters behind. As he took in the trees highlighting the city center and skyline, a man approached from behind and after a quick pause near the Super commandos he began to walk next to William. "Ahh, Baron Malaki! How fortuitous for us to meet here." Malaki chuckles, "I know you wanted to give the PMC an air of professionalism and class, but did you really have to resurrect the title? My family hasn't held it for centuries, and I'm only doing this as a favor for Garoche. I cannot believe he talked me into giving up my commission for this." William and Malaki continue to walk down the path, "please Baron, you believe as strongly as we do about the future of the Empire. This is a necessary obfuscation. How is First Chapter settling down on their new headquarters?" Malaki grunts, "with Kuat Drive Yards having chosen Jabiim as their new Outer Rim shipyard, the traffic in-system has increased exponentially. We will have no issue disguising any purchases or transits at this point. Anything we do will be overshadowed by the work being done in orbit. The first squads have completed their training and we have picked up several small contracts on Jabiim and nearby systems to look legitimate. But you didn't come all this way just for a status update and a pleasant walk in the park with me." William smiles, "I, of course, am simply here to tour the new KDY facilities in orbit and am just taking a refreshing break to see the sights here in Stratus. I have your first assignment; take some men and go to the Sumitra Sector, Cvetaen System. You will take possession of the other recruits there, Crimson Dawn has them and is awaiting your arrival." Malaki pauses and William stops and turns to look at him, "Do you really believe ex-slaves have what it takes to be successful troops sir?" "Not ex-slaves yet Baron, that is your first duty after all. After freeing them, many if not all will want to join up with you. Of course, some will not be suitable for fighting, but you need support staff do you not? We need loyalty and this will secure it. Now, I need to be off. I can only be missing for so long before someone notices and starts asking the wrong questions. I do not need to remind you, we did not meet." Malaki nods and splits off from William and disappears over a small rise.

Vermillion ( Crimson Dawn Fortress Flagship)
"My Lady..., the Baron has arrived" the Imroosian woman reports while slightly bowing her head.
"Escort him in Margo" Qi'ra looks up from her desk as she handles some of the daily work of running Crimson Dawn.
"At once my lady", Margo replied giving her mistress another bow before turning to leave the office, the doors closing behind her with a resounding hiss .
Qi'ra sighs in exasperation as her aid leaves.
'Seven years. Seven years of working for the Admiral, though he is now a Moff it seems. After Maul died everything was in disarray, many did not believe that I had supplanted Dryden. Seven years of increasing the power and prestige of Crimson Dawn , all while keeping a low profile. The short war with the Pyke Syndicate was an exception of course; but a statement needed to be made at that time, especially after news of Dryden's death reached the criminal underworld and with her taking his place as leader of the organization they needed to know she was neither a weak leader nor one to be ever underestimated.
The Moff may have made her the public figure of Crimson Dawn, and contrary to what he thought and believed it was her pulling most of the strings. He may have directed her in some matters; but it was through her own influence that things got done. The lengths that Dryden and Maul went to disguise his existence and hand in operations helped since I and the Moff co-opted those for our own means. Other than my aids Margo and Tirina, I doubt anyone in the organization has any knowledge or knew about the true leader, just the way he wants.'
Her thoughts were interrupted as the doors to her large study opened once again, this time her aid was followed by Baron Malaki, one of the leaders of the fast and and upcoming mercenary organization by the name of First Chapter.
The organization was made up of numerous military trained soldiers mercenaries who were supposedly more than a mercenary group, what with all the leaders having some sort of aristocratic title and all being former Imperial Military. She wouldn't expect anything less seemingly as the baron was once a Stormtrooper Commander who was forced to retire after being involved in some conspiracy of the sort, that was if the intel found out on him was true.
"Lady Qi'ra", he acknowledged
"Baron", she replies flatly.
"Please, have a seat" said Qi'ra as she gestured with her hand towards the chair.
"Lady Qi'ra , it has come to my attention that you have yet to transport the slaves as was required and stated in our deal, and it has been bothering me and my colleagues to why that is , hence my personal appearance here" , the baron stated calmly.
"An unfortunate delay baron but I can assure you that the slaves will be delivered as soon as possible", she replied coolly
"Your promises mean nothing without action! If worlds were built on assurances many would have fallen by now, you have delayed our shipment for weeks , we have lost insurmountable credits and time due to your incompetence. My Lord will not allow this to-
"I do not serve your Lord!" she quickly replies.
Malaki snorts and stands up, walking around the office examining the various relics on display, "we all have our obligations girl. Just because I wear mine on my sleeve and you hide your chains does not mean they don't lead to the same chair. I have my orders and will carry them out, will you?"
Qi'ra quickly tamps down on her shock and anger, "what does the Empire want with these slaves!? Why not get some through your normal channels?"
Malaki turns to Qi'ra and stares, "be careful what questions you ask, they might lead you to a place you can't leave. If you have concerns about how they will be treated, don't worry. They do not have heavy labor or experimentation in their future. Now, our agreement?"
Qi'ra sighs and hits several buttons on her desk and pulls out a pad before handing it Malaki, "here, you can find the transports around the second gas giant. They are automated barges, and the pad contains the control codes and location."
"Excellent! See, that wasn't so hard now, was it? I'm sure we will be seeing each other again." Malaki states as he strolls out the door, pad in hand.
"Bastard" Qi'ra grumbled as she leans back and looks out her window, 'What has Moff Garoche gotten me in to?'
