Chapter 81: Chapter 81
The message from Queen Amidala was able to reach Senator Palpatine who then passed the message to the Supreme Chancellor.
Hearing about the threat that the Nabooians faced, he spoke with the Jedi Order who agreed to send two Jedi to act as ambassadors for the Senate and order the Trade Federation to remove their blockade until the Senate was allowed to hear both sides and the reasoning for the blockade.
But the Galaxy never allowed anything to go as planned.
When the two Jedi arrived to meet with the Viceroy of the Trade Federation, they were attacked while Naboo was fully invaded. Luckily, the pair escaped from the initial attack and landed on the planet but their communications were unfortunately cut off.
Both Jedi were able to meet a lone Gungan who brought them to one of the hidden, underwater villages. (Numagakure lol)
There, they stood in an audience with the Otolla Gungan Boss.
"Yousa lucky. Meesa da bestest boss. Wesaa blessed by Ni Kikaka," the larger Gungan laughed as he bragged
"Na Kikaka?" Obi-Wan asked confused
"Oh, yessa. Na Kika huge! Queen Jendi brought them here. Theysa was an egg but grew SO bigga!" Jar Jar explained
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan shared a look with one another. They knew exactly what Na Kika was as they had a Titan of their own, protecting the Jedi Temple.
"How are we lucky that Na Kika is here?" Qui-Gon asked
"Meanie fishies always eat Gungan who swim too long. Na Kika beats dem all back. We Gungan swim as much as wantsa to!" Jar Jar explained
Na Kika was docile but at Queen Jendi's request, Na Kika kept the waters safe. The Titan would attack any of the more aggressive species that went after sentient species, though it would not interfere with eating other sea creatures.
"Is Na Kika around? Are they aggressive?" Obi-Wan asked
The Jedi had to deal with a Titan once before and it caused massive casualties on their side before they just decided to bomb it and kill it. The process of which destroyed several kilometers worth of vegetation and made that portion of the planet uninhabitable.
"Na Kikaka sleepsa here. Theysa shy. Rarely seen. No lika to fight. Just sleeps until fishies naughty," Rugor Nass explained
When the trio boarded a underwater speeded, they caught a glimpse of the massive Na Kika. The creature shifted between several different shades that showed off its body before it disappeared entirely.
"Huh," Obi-Wan looked at the spot where Na Kika had disappeared to in shock. "I thought they were just making it up or it was an urban legend."
"You must keep a more open mind, young Padawan. The galaxy is filled with many mysterious things," Qui-Gon tried to educate him
"Yeah. And most of them come from Yautja Prime."
The trio arrived inside of Theed's, the capital of Naboo, walls without issue. When they arrived, they could hear the sound of battle in the distance.
When the Trade Federation had invaded, they were able to proceed through most of the planet without issue. But once they neared Theed, they ran into an issue.
Doug.
Although not the largest, nor the most powerful of the Titans, Doug was still a Titan nonetheless. His skin was immune to the weak blaster the B-1 Droids carried while their tanks did little more than tickle his skin.
Doug on the other hand was able to wipe out hundreds with a single charge or swipe of its tail while also releasing massive plasma bolts that took out tanks with ease.
Doug stood as the sole defender that protected Theed and the Queen of Naboo.
Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Jar Jar were able to reach the royal palace without issue. There they met with Queen Amidala, her handmaids, and her guards.
"Greetings, your Majesty. We have some on behalf of the Senate to act as ambassadors," Qui-Gon greeted the girl politely. Queen Amidala was only 14 afterall so calling her a woman would be a bit much.
"Welcome. It seems that there has some type of failure of communication, seeing as Doug is battling so hard to defend our gates," the queen pointed out. She wasn't trying to be rude but it was more self-mockery and hate toward the Trade Federation. Even after lowering themselves and begging for help, they were still being attacked.
"It seems our communications have been jammed. I suggest that we all leave the planet and go to Coruscant to get reinforcements," Qui-Gon suggested, seeing how terrible the situation was
"I understand the severity but I cannot just leave my people. With Doug protecting..."
"Your Majesty," Qui-Gon cut her off. "Doug shall eventually get tired. Their army is massive and he will eventually need to rest. And besides the Trade Federation has Titans of their own as well as the ability to perform an orbital bombardment. Doug will eventually lose.
I suggest we all retreat together to ensure your safety while we have Doug fall back into the seas. There, he can rest until we bring reinforcements that can force the Trade Federation away."
Queen Amidala did not look pleased with this but there was little she could do. She also knew that just allowing Doug to fight would eventually be the death of him and they had no plan afterwards. Rather than just stalling and hoping that backup would come, it was better to go and get the backup themselves while conserving their strength.
"Fine. Let us go, Master Jedi," the queen reluctantly agreed to leave for the sake of her people
The Jedi, the queen, her handmaids, some guards, and Jar Jar all boarded the queen's private yacht. Once they were on-board, Amidala tapped into the main aound system of the castle and released a whistling sound.
Doug, who was in the middle of fighting, looked off toward tbe castle when it heard the sound. After stopping for a few moments, the Titan made a man dash to the water where it dove in under the constant fire of the droids.
Both forces were able to successfully retreat though one performed better than the other.
While the Jedi and queen's forces were passing through the blockade, they were struck by a few shots. Although they were able to pass, their ship was damaged and couldn't make it to Coruscant. So they stopped at the nearest planet not controlled by the Trade Federation.
