Volume 1 - Chapter 17: New friends
"Alright, class is done. Everyone can leave now." Said Glynda as she stayed behind as every student but Nord left.
Sora even heard his opponent anguish with a cry of help as they left the classroom.
"THIS IS NOT FAIR UWAAAA"
"SHUT IT ALREADY."
"Yes….."
"Is he going to be okay?" asked a doubtful Tifa as she heard the state of Nord Snow.
Sora couldn't answer her as they heard another person respond first.
"He's good. Don't underestimate our captain. He is more shameless than that." Said Sergil Vert, a man with a very bookish atmosphere around him.
"Oh, you are Sergil, right? Nice to meet you." Said Jean as she saw him and the rest of team NUTS.
"That's right, nice too meet you too, Jean." Said Sergil as he looked at Sora.
He was very interesting about him, after all he fought a fantastic battle versus their leader.
Nord Snow was the most powerful freshman in his mind and didn't expect to find another monster this year.
Sora tilted his head at Sergil's eye on him.
"Sorry about that, Sora, but I didn't expect another powerful person like our leader.
"Oh, I see." Said Sora as he nodded.
Sergil scratched his head helplessly as he didn't expect for Sora to be this… dull?
"Ah, I hope you don't get offended by Sora's attitude. He is usually like that." Said Tifa rapidly as she noticed their exchange.
"Well, don't worry, I dealt with people like that too in the past, haha." Said Sergil with a stiff smile.
"Anyway, I came here to ask for team JSTA's scroll number. We thought it could be interesting if we first years at Beacon had a friend group. There is currently team DEEZ and us NUTS in the group." Explained Sergil of his intention by approaching them.
"Oh, this is a wonderful idea, here this is our friend code." Said Jean as she gave Sergil the information.
"Perfect! Let's see you guys tomorrow for class! Oh, that reminds me, but I heard from a senior we will have a field experience next week." Said Sergil as he intended to deepen their friendship with this piece of information.
"So soon?" asked the stunned Jean. She didn't expect for a first year like them to experience outside.
"That's right, the new should be reliable. This is like a tradition for the first year from what I heard, but of course they might have changed it to something else, but we will definitively go outside at some point next week." Said Sergil as he understood Jean's doubt.
"I see.. anyway thank you for you information, Sergil."
"Don't worry about it, anyway, goodbye," said Sergil as he left with his team.
"The outside huh, I wonder what we are going to do." Said Tifa with a thoughtful face.
"I hope it won't be too annoying…" said Sora, as he wasn't the type to enjoy outside.
He preferred to hole inside, then the outside.
"Don't worry Sora, I'll take care of you." Said Atalanta as she tapped Sora's shoulder.
Atalanta was very experienced in the wild and had more knowledge than any of them.
She practically belongs in nature with her hunter skill.
"It's nice to have a reliable teammate like you, Atalanta. I'll be thanking you in advance." Said Sora with relief.
He has literally no knowledge of how to survive outside and the Albedo template won't help him.
"UMU" affirmed Atalanta with a blush, as her tail wagged from happiness because of Sora's compliment.
"We have a pretty charged schedule this semester… We won't have that much time to train outside of professor Goodwitch's classes." Said Jean with a scrunched face.
"Indeed, I'll hit the gym before going back to the dorm." Said Tifa as they left the school.
"I'll join you Tifa. How about you, Atalanta and Sora?" said Jean as she intended to refine some of her technique.
"… I'll be going back to the dorm." Said Atalanta simply when she heard Jean.
"I have something to do with professor Hephaestus at the school forge." Replied Sora as he looked at his scroll.
He received a message from her not long ago. She completed what he asked before.
As expected of a teacher form Beacon, they are quick and the quality should be guaranteed.
"Oh? Really? What did you ask for? A new weapon?" asked the curious Tifa, as she became very interested in Sora.
"An alchemist table for my experience." Said Sora lightly.
"You know Sora, but after searching for alchemy, I found some notes from Alice." Said Jean from the side as she heard Sora talk about alchemy again.
"Alice?" asked Sora with puzzlement.
He didn't expect his leader to know something about it.
After all, he got this knowledge from the Albedo template.
"That's right. You remember Klee, right?"
"… Remember." Said Sora as a cute girl like Klee, can't be forgotten.
"Well, Alice is Klee's mother, as well as a famous huntress who authored the Remnant Travel Guide. She left some notes on to Klee about alchemist."
"Klee made her bomb with the help of those alchemists note left by her mother." Explained Jean as they strolled around.
"Interesting…" murmured Sora. He should visit Klee soon and maybe advance in his acting.
"Who is Klee?" asked the curious Tifa.
"Oh, that's tight. You two don't know her. She is the child I'm taking care off, before coming at Beacon. She is currently in the care of a friend at Beacon."
"Can we meet her?" asked Atalanta.
"Sure, I don't see any problem with that." Said Jean as she nodded.
"Anyway, time is going so see you guys later at the dorm." Said Jean as she left with Tifa toward the training room.
"Good bye, Sora…" murmured Atalanta as she trotted away.
"Good bye, Atalanta." Said Sora as he walked toward the school's forge.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
Sora arrived in front of the door as he waited for permission before entering.
Sora heard footstep coming toward the door and saw a beautiful woman.
If Sora remembered right, she should be Tsubaki Collbrande, a master smith under professor Hephaestus.
"Who are you? It's pretty late you know." Asked Tsubaki as she didn't expect to find a kid at these hours.
"Ah, I'm Sora and I'm looking for professor Hephaestus. She made something for me." Said Sora, as he stated his identity.
"Oh! You must be the interesting person who my master mentioned." Exclaimed Tsubaki with surprise.
"Interesting? I'm honored I guess….?"
"Haha, nice humour, kid. c'mon come. inside, master is waiting for you." Said Tsubaki as she pulled Sora inside the forge.
Sora followed Tsubaki as they arrived in front of a closed room.
She knocked on the door as they had the hammering stop.
"Tsubaki?" asked a doubtful voice from the room.
"It's me master, the interesting young man is here!" said Tsubaki as they heard footstep coming toward the door.
"Oh! Sora, you are finally here. Come and look at your order." Said Hephaestus as Sora entered the room with Tsubaki behind him.
She was curious about her master order that could attract her attention.
"This is?"
"This is his order, Tsubaki. I followed the instruction from his blueprint, but I didn't know if it worked. So I called him to confirm his order." Replied Hephaestus at her disciple of doubt.
"Can I touch it?" asked Sora, as he observed the table from afar.
"Of course!"
The table was the same as Albedo's memory from the template.
Sora decide to try pouring his geo element inside of it as the table lit up.
"Ohhh"
"Interesting…"
Reacted the pairs of master and disciple as they witnessed the birth of the alchemist table.
"Thank you for you help, professor Hephaestus. I'm very thankful." Said Sora.
"Hahaha, I should be the one thanking you for bringing me this blueprint. I feel like I can go further in my forging!" said Hephaestus.
"Anyway, don't forget to scan you school ID before leaving. I'd like to catch some sleep before continuing some orders."
Hephaestus left the forge and entered her office.
"Do you need anything else?" asked Tsubaki as she took care of Sora.
"Not for now, but maybe in the future." Said Sora with a smile.
"Alright, me and my master, we'll be waiting for your return. You can scan your Id there." Said Tsubaki as she pointed to the scanner from the other side of the room.
"I seem to thank you for taking care of me, senior Tsubaki,"
"Well, you are our guest, after all!"
"Bye Sora... Oh! Wait!"
"What is it?" asked the confused Sora as he didn't expect Tsubaki to shout.
"Here, my friend code! Don't you dare forget to add me." said Tsubaki as she shook her fist toward Sora.
"Don't worry, I won't forget a girl like Tsubaki." Said Sora with a serious face.
"…"
"Uwaaaa." Murmured Tsubaki with reddened cheeks as she didn't dare to look at her junior.
She didn't expect someone younger than her uttered such a word.
Somehow, it gave her a fantastic feeling.
Sora:?
"Anyway, you can leave now! Bye Sora!" said Tsubaki as she pushed Sora outside the forge and closing the door.
"…"
