Chapter 2: Abu-Al Hassan

Three years after this event, Abul Hasan was the first Muslim, who was brought to this remote island by the intention of trade and the love of preaching. One morning after several weeks of travel, Abul Hasan and his companions were standing on the ship looking towards the green shore of Sarandeep.

Near the port, men, women and children boarded boats and a few people floated out to welcome the ship.

On a boat, Abul Hasan saw a strange figure among the black and semi-naked women of the island. Its color was red and white and its appearance was very different from the inhabitants of the island. She was scolding the two strong sailors on her boat who were steering the boat to get closer to the ship before the other boats.

This decay came with the ship leaving all the boats behind. The girl looked at Abul Hasan and instead of responding to his insolent gaze, she turned her face to the other side. Abul Hasan's companions also did not like the semi-naked dress of the women. She said something in Serandipi language, considering the disloyalty of the ship's crew as her own, but there was no response from the ship. Suddenly Abul Hasan heard someone's cry and looked down.

At a distance of eight to ten yards from the boat, the same beautiful girl was diving in the water and the boatmen were looking at her with stern disbelief despite her screams.

Abul Hasan first threw the rope ladder but when he was sure that the girl's hands and feet are responding and she cannot reach the ladder, so he jumps into the sea with his clothes, but the girl suddenly disappears in the water and he is worried and starts looking around. By now many boats had gathered around the ship and the islanders were laughing.

After diving three times, Abul Hasan got hold of the ladder and was about to sit on the ship when his companion started driving from above. "He is over there, on the other side of the ship." She is drowning. Maybe a fish has caught it.

The local men and women laughed again. Abul Hasan could not understand the reason why the girl reached the other side of the ship. With mixed feelings of concern and surprise, he soon dived again and made his way through the ship's hull to the other side. There was no one there, his same companion was shouting from above,

She drowned.

She was swallowed by a fish.

Abul Hasan was disappointed and reached the other side. This time his companions also participated in the laughter of the people and an Arab said.

You come!

She can swim better than you. Abul Hasan did not slip and grabbed the ladder but had just put one foot up when someone grabbed his leg and dropped him into the water. He managed to look around and saw that the girl was climbing the stairs fast.

When Abul Hasan reached the ship, his companions were worried that they were listening to the laughter of the island girl.

The girl looked at Abul Hasan and said in Arabic.

I'm so sorry, you got wet.

Hearing the Arabic words from the girl's mouth, everyone's eyes were fixed on her. Abul Hasan asked,

Are you an Arab?"

The girl bowed her head to one side and while squeezing the water from her head hair with both hands answered yes I am an Arab, for some time we used to see the way of the Arab ships.

I welcome you. What goods have you brought?

The sight of an Arab girl in this dress was unbearable for Abu al-Hasan and his companions. They were looking at each other worriedly.

The girl did not get an answer to her question and asked again,

"I ask, what goods have you brought?" Why are you surprised? Don't Arab women know how to swim?

What are you thinking ?

Well, I see myself.

Abul Hasan said. Hold on!

We have brought horses. I will show you myself, but I am surprised that the Arabs of this island are still living worse than the Arabs of the age of ignorance.

Hasn't anyone taught them to dress like a human being and to mock men?

The girl's face turned red with anger. He replied, isn't this the clothing of humans?

It is not known that the light of Islam has not yet reached your house.

After this, Abul Hasan picked up a robe and put it on the girl's shoulders and said.

"Can you see our ship now?"

The girl hid her bare arms and legs in the jacket, more impressed by Abul Hasan's personality than by his words. Abul Hasan had fifty Arabian horses. The girl inspected all the horses one by one and placed her hand on the back of one horse and said,

"I will buy this."

What is the price of it?"

Abul Hasan said. You still have one characteristic of the Arabs, this horse is the best of them all, but you will not be able to pay for it, nor is it suitable for women to ride. It is as beautiful and fast as it is powerful.

The girl smiled at this answer and said,

Well, we will see, did you stop the ship so much?"

Abul Hasan replied,

"I think it is necessary to take permission from the government of this country."

The girl said, "The king of Sarandeep has been waiting for the ship of the Arabs for some time."

The ship moved to the shore, the Amir-ul-Bahr of the King (Raja) himself arrived. "Dilip Singh had developed a good ability in Arabic due to his close relationship with Abul-Shams. He said in Arabic as he boarded the plane

"Why did you stop the ship so far?"
