Chapter 1: Prologue

The story will start where it usually begins, at the beginning. A child by the age of nine, staring out her bedroom window as the noise from downstairs grew even louder. Shay could clearly hear her mother's screams as the fists hitting bone noise grew louder. The sound itself was excruciating so imagine the pain that the person being hit was feeling. Unable to bear the noise, Shay ran outside into the forest and her legs kept going. She ran until her legs carried her to somewhere unknown. Somewhere so beautiful she wondered if she had fallen into a fairy realm. A waterfall that streamed down the rocks ever so smoothly it was all like a puzzle that gotten perfectly fit together. Shay climbed to the top of the waterfall and stared over the top and the view took her small breath away. As she peered over the waterfall she could see the river flowing between the mountains and dipping between the valleys. The sight was so immersive that Shay took a lanky step forward and slipped, her blood curling scream echoed throughout the forest and she closed her eyes waiting for the pain to come but it never did. She felt her body being held tightly and the strong breeze whipping at her skin. As she slowly opened her eyes she realized that she was high in the sky, soaring above the clouds and the one making all this happen was a boy, a teenage boy with blue eyes and blue markings on his face and chest. His hair was also blue and he had wings made of water. He landed on the ground and dived into the river and Shay sprung to her feet and went straight to look at the river but the boy was gone. This is where it all began, the day Shay met Aqua.
